I hope you don't mind me backdating so far, but it's a nice story!

Mr Draynester and I placed a padlock on the Hohenzollern Bridge in Cologne, Germany when we went there on our honeymoon in 2010. When you get to the bridge, if you have come unprepared there are people selling padlocks and permanent markers. Many of the locks are engraved and some become "families - where a couple revisits the lock and adds a new lock for their child.
