28-May-23
Yay, first one for years!

05-Feb-21
After a few years away, couldn't resist this cheeky find

24-Jan-17
Tftc, an easy find when noone is around, but could be tricky at other times

23-Dec-16
Yay, summer didn't make this easy!! Tftc

25-Mar-16
Went cross country for this one from the new sub division, but no luck. A likely pile of stones but no prize!

05-Feb-16
An easy find though hard not to look too suspicious with the nearby car park full. TFTC

30-Jan-16
Thanks - an easy find before baseball. TFTC

29-Jan-16
First find for a very long time. TFTC

23-Jan-15
I liked the container and where it was hidden. A lovely Canterbury day to enjoy the view and the feeling of escaping the 'city'. TFTC Smile

21-Jan-15
Found while relaxing at Pohara after the Heaphy. A lovely place to relax. TFTC

An easy find thanks to the hint. Good as it would be hard to grab I imagine if you had to spend too long looking as this is a popular area. TFTC Smile

16-Jan-15
Found on way to start of Heaphy Track. A great time to find it - noone around. TFTC Smile

14-Nov-14
A beautiful day for walking around Halswell Quarry. Cool to find a large cache hidden in such a public environment. TFTC Smile

31-Oct-14
Found while waiting at nearby Horncastle Arena. TFTC

06-Oct-14
Just before we headed back home we stopped by to do this quick and pleasant walk, even though it started to rain a bit. Some lovely specimens along this walk. This particular one has so much character. My phone was way off, but the unmistakable tree made it clear where to look. Took a while and did the confusion thing for a while. How could this not be a favourite? Of course it is Smile Well done and TFTC.

05-Oct-14
What a tragic incident. Made my heart ache to think of those poor families and the children. Thanks for taking us near the memorial. TFTC.

Very enjoyable puzzle caches. Thanks for all your efforts 1066 in Peel Forest!. Good coordinates - nice hide!. TFTC Smile

Unfortunately I couldn't find this one at the time. It is very probably there though, secretly laughing to itself....

I loved these puzzles. Very clever - and especially being able to work the extra clues in too (which I loaded into my phone and then could not retrieve), however, luckily the coordinates were bang on and this was thankfully found! This was a lovely walk and we really enjoyed the part along the river. So special with all the native fuschias out in flower. TFTC Smile

I couldn't find this one. My phone ran out of juice just before the end of the series and then when I popped back the next day, I couldn't find it. Cache blindness no doubt.

My phone ran out of juice just near the end of the Fern Walk the day before (aargh!) so I had to rush back in to find a couple near the end. An easy find thanks to the clue. TFTC
Peel Forest is a very lovely place to visit, with lots of enjoyable walks. This time of year there is hardly anyone about - crazy eh!

04-Oct-14
I was so annoyed with myself. I solved all of the Allan's Track puzzles but did not remember until near the end of that section when the saved Fern Walk caches started appearing on my phone as we were coming to the last section of our 4 hour walk. However, I doubt if I would have gotten away with doing all AT and FW ones without getting divorced from the family, so probably just as well. TFTC and making me feel much better Smile

Didn't find this one. I looked like I'd been dragged through a gorse bush backwards in the attempt though!

Yay, this one was a good find. TFTC Smile

Yay, another quick find with a good clue. TFTC

Thanks 1066 for this series. Fun and thankfully easy to prevent family from complaining!. TFTC

Thanks for all your efforts in placing and maintaining your caches series in Peel Forest. Another good clue leading to an easy find. TFTC Smile

Another good find on this lovely walk. Thanks for that - when they're too hard it is hard to make the family tolerate my need to cache, so these ones are a delight. TFTC 1066

03-Oct-14
Good clue leading to an easy find thank goodness as there was an amazing thunderstorm happening with rain threatening. We were staying at DOC campground, and I got back with 20 seconds to spare before the rain started!. TFTC Smile

No, I could not find this. I couldn't even find a hollow log unless it was the one with the beer bottle in it. Never mind, it is a lovely place to walk Smile

02-Oct-14
I enjoyed this, it was a great little hide, quickly retrieved, and fun. Smile. TFTC

Excellent clue made this an easy find after puffing myself up the hill on an early morning walk with lots of bird call. I love how easy it is to get amongst the trees on a quick walk from central Dunedin. TFTC

01-Oct-14
Found with good company after a lovely meal nearby. How many thousands of people walk past this little spot little suspecting what is in their midst? Well done TFTC Smile

19-Sep-14
So finally I thought I would make my way over to that part of town and pick this up. I solved it ages ago. But, assuming my old solution was correct, the cache site is fenced off. I was tempted to sneak through but there was a City Care worker in there and I thought he might not appreciate it. I think this will be accessible again at some stage, so I'll have to come back and have another go!

Today it was quiet and therefore easy to find on a beautiful day. TFTC

Yes, it was easily found. Thanks. I left the travel bug to help it on it's way overseas. TFTC

13-Sep-14
Found today in the drizzle after having to do a chore nearby. Good quick find. TFTC

07-Sep-14
On a stunning Canterbury day. Everyone was up on the hills today it felt like - so great to see everyone doing their own things. We took our dog here - haven't been to this spot since before the EQs - but were disappointed that dogs aren't allowed due to poison, but there are so many other options up there, not a problem. A quick find, but as per usual, in retrospect I realised there was a much easier approach I could have taken!. TFTC - it's 11 years old which is impressive

29-Aug-14
What a great little cache!. Thanks for that, and I loved the clue too. And I saw 10 little ducklings nearby Smile. TFTC

23-Aug-14
Found after attending the nearby event where it was lovely to meet you Sonia26642 - thanks for making this so accessible. I'm glad I looked at the hint!. TFTC Smile

Very worthwhile getting up early to come along. It was really nice to meet some other cachers and put some faces to nom-de-plumes. Thanks 2wombles for organising this. And then I went off to find the nearby letterbox cache - thanks for the encouragement. Cheers TFTC Smile

11-Aug-14
Yes, this cache is just a log in a bag, in need of TLC by the cache owner. Found with my niece on a lovely Feilding day. TFTC.

Found with my neice while she was learning the ancient art of getting excited about finding hidden plastic containers in random places. TFTC.

05-Aug-14
Great idea for a cache. I was familiar with the places described, so took a short cut and solved the final and headed there. It wasn't at all crowded which enabled me to quickly have the cache in hand. I think this is only my second multi-cache, so I think that the 7 souvenirs of August is a great idea as it is making me try something other than my normal basic and puzzle caches. TFTC TwoSharpe. Smile

If I can't make the event on the 23rd, I'll be there for my last souvenir! Cheers

02-Aug-14
Another glorious day in Christchurch. Time to head to the quarry with the canine and pick up another souvenir. The place was full of joggers, walkers, dogs, some geology students, and tree planters. TFTC Smile Unfortunately the previous cache finder has posted the answers.

01-Aug-14
Will try to get here depending on sport times - need the souvenir
