Logs for Argent78

03-Apr-16
Maintenance

31-Jan-16
Got there just before the influx of muggles riding the bridge. Hummed that Chili Peppers song the whole time. Great location, tftc.

08-May-15
Removed

03-May-15
Found it! Nice area; had trouble returning the cache as the local bird life was attracting lots of muggle attention.

15-Mar-15
Replaced with a new cache container. Slightly larger than the last one and once again magnetic.

14-Mar-15
Down for maintenance

12-Oct-14
"Paper hanging" seems to have been a result of incorrect re-placement. A quick sortie with the geokids and is now back in original condition.

04-Sep-14
Replaced the log book.

18-Aug-14
Down for maintenance.

28-May-14
This cache is placed by kids, for kids, hence the close proximity to playgrounds.

There’s no obligation to search for this cache if one deems the location inappropriate, despite this new location falling into said category of "trees, seats, signs and fences."

This cache has been moved from its original location due a pending renovation of the playground area it originally resided in.

The new location now places it adjacent to a playground, rather than on it.

28-Feb-14
In anticipation of the cache location being renovated, this cache will be unavailable until a new site has been found.

09-Feb-14
Quick find on a lazy walk along the river. Nearly lost the log sheet when a stiff breeze grabbed it as we opened the cache. Log book needs maintenance. Tftc

Found after a quick search with the geokids. Nice tranquil area on a Sunday. Tftc

25-Jan-14
After three consecutive DNFs, the geokids and I went to check on this cache and can confirm that it is indeed still unharmed and in its original location.

22-Dec-13
Found but not at ground level, and more "fork in tree" than "between two trunks". Tftc

Arrived at GZ and cache was visible on the ground in plain sight. Opened container but no logbook to be found? Re-concealed as per the description, however may need maintenance.

Had to evade a muggle watering their garden in the adjacent yard with no fence. Found Rudolph but he was empty! Some further rummaging located the cache but Rudolph is in desperate need of some attention. Also helps to be tall. Tftc!

Found cache after a couple false starts. Appears to be well protected by the local spiders, however they were no match for the geo-son's poking stick. Tftc

03-Nov-13
No luck. Signs of construction in the area make me think it's been removed or inadvertently buried.

It took us several attempts to find this one, but the keen eyes of the geokids finally made the find. Well camouflaged but stands once you know what to look for. Tftc

Found after a couple dnfs. Nice piece preserved right here in the suburbs. Tftc

Weather shielding is in need of repair.

Very clever camo. Overlooked this one several times. Tftc

02-Nov-13
Arrived early for a Dark Night viewing a the observatory, and were delighted see a cache listed close by. Our enthusiasm waned once we realized that this cache seems long gone.

26-Oct-13
Great camo! Park had a bouncy castle, hamster balls and face painting stand set up. Perfect for the geokids! Tcf

25-Oct-13
A well hidden cache. Don't be fooled by the beaten path leading into the bush. If you follow that you'll overshoot the GZ. Tftc

20-Oct-13
The geo-son made a very quick find on this one. Cache appeared to have been upended and possibly missing a lid? Anyway, the geokids replaced it face down, but the log book is potentially exposed to the elements. May need maintenance? TFTC and great camo!

12-Oct-13
Nice park. Cache is guarded by a barking dog and attack slaters. Made the find out with geodaughter continuing our run of good finds today. Tftc

Great hiding place! Previous logs have all the clues needed to find this one. Not for the height-impaired. Tftc

We very nearly got sprung by muggles whilst retrieving this one!

The yappy dog guided us in; followed a false trail that led behind the bushes that made us look even more suspicious before we stumbled upon the cache. Tftc!

05-Oct-13
Quick find by the lake! Tftc

Nice piece of preserved bushland around here. Tftc

Heads up, there is a magpie in swooping mode guarding this area! Tftc

Nice area - quick find even though we were looking for a different coloured cache from the others!

Quick find avoiding both magpies AND bees! Tftc

30-Sep-13
GPS led us close enough to spot the trampled undergrowth. Swapped a penny for a penny (well half a one) tftc.

Quick find on a winning streak for the geokids! Tftc

This one made me hungry! Tftc

29-Sep-13
Great location, although the geokids were looking for a literal bison! The more you know... Tftc

28-Sep-13
Great camo! Geodaughter made a quick find once we reached GZ. Tftc

GZ now seems to be in a recently created rehab zone. Fence looks very new and but is easy to circumvent. Found the bees, but no cache.

21-Sep-13
Led here by a tennis ball, which the geokids seemed to think might contain the cache, but then found the real cache by accident! Tftc

Second time here and still no luck. Plenty of obvious places, but none that yielded a cache.

Log book is full

A well hidden cache. Log book is full.

18-Sep-13
Thanks to K.B for the excellent hint - I would never have found this if following the original directions.

Word of warning, this lane-way is subject to bursts of muggle traffic on their morning commute. It went from empty to busy in the space of a minute, which may have corresponded to a bus arriving just around the corner. Very nearly got sprung replacing the cache!

17-Sep-13
Great cache!

Log book is wet and rapidly deteriorating.

Took some time out while attending a training course at Cliftons around the corner.

I was a little gruff with myself for missing this on my first attempt, but once I stopped kidding around I was able to make the find!

Muggle traffic is fairly light at 8am. Log book is wet and starting to deteriorate. Tftc!
