Vandaag samen met Elsbethvr afgereisd naar Amsterdam om daar samen met michellesme het Van Gogh Museum te gaan bekijken. Na het museum lopen we langzaam weer richting het Centraal Station om Michelle daar op de trein te zetten. Maar natuurlijk niet zonder onderweg nog wat caches mee te pikken...
Hier hebben we toch wel even staan zoeken, zeker omdat de hint niet (meer) klopt. Wij vonden hem een stukje lager op het object.

On holiday, together with Elsbethvr, and spending a few days at Disney World before heading down to the Everglades.
Today, the first day near the Everglades is spent mostly along the Tamiami trail. Going west all the way to Collier Seminole State Park to attempt GCFA, before turning around and heading back the same way. And of course caching is part of the trip both ways.
After registering with the ranger and parking our car it was time to head out for GCFA, our main goal for today. Unfortunately for us it would turn out to be a DNF for us. We started the trail clockwise, but got stranded about 400 feet from the cache, as the water level there got to about 3-4 inches of water and that was more than we were comfortable with or prepared for. We then tried the trail the other way round, but stranded even earlier.
It would have been a nice find, as it would have completed my Jasmer, but I'll have to come back for it another time in the dry season. Thanks for keeping this one alive!

Today is the day we're traveling south. We decide to take a mostly scenic route and avoid the major interstates, at least for the first part of the journey. It also gave us a nice excuse to do some caches along they way.
As virtuals are grandfathered, we try to visit them when we can, as they're a dying breed. So when I spotted this cache on the map, we just had to make the small detour to grab it.

Elsbethvr and I are touring the US during our holiday. We started in Houston and will end our trip in Washington D.C. 3.5 weeks later, with a lot of sightseeing and caching along the way. Today we're touring Washington D.C.
We'd made a short list of caches we wanted to do while we were in town but we hadn't made a real plan, so we were pleasantly surprised to find out that we exited the metro station at the exact location of a Virtual. nice.

Elsbethvr and I are touring the US during our holiday. We started in Houston and will end our trip in Washington D.C. 3.5 weeks later, with a lot of sightseeing and caching along the way. Today we're driving around in the greater Atlanta area, working on our Jesmer Challenge.
Over 50 of your friend, spread out over 2 boats, caching together on Lake Lanier are sure ingredients for a day of fun.
And although our captain tried to drive our boat on to the island, he failed, so we didn't get marooned.
