Hoping to be there. I'm keen to meet the Australian contingent of geocachers as I'm a new import.
14-Aug-10
Finally found after the second visit. And there it sat, as plain as the nose on your face, mocking our earlier attempts. To be fair, the sun was at an awkward angle the first time round, so I'm not surprised I didn't see it. TFTC!

We'd just had a hike through the Westfield Centre and were all peopled out, so this little haven was a marvel. Thanks for bringing us here and making us aware of the wonderful civic spirit that exists in Brisbane.
Found with Skatterling the second time around. First time it was too dark to find many of the clues. Wonderful outlook, lovely area - and the cafe does a jolly good carrot cake, too! TFTC
Found with Skatterling. While she wandered around trying to get the GPS to behave, I spotted the cache. We put it in the plastic bag the log book was in, as the casing was broken and the lid also broke when opened. Some maintenance is needed, as it's going to get really mucky when it rains. TFTC!
Found with Skatterling on a day's cruise up and down the Brisbane River. Spur of the moment idea -
Skatterling: 'There's a cache nearby',
Barberanne: 'Quick! Before the ferry leaves the jetty, let's get off...'
No further discussion, just lots of scrambling, then peace and quiet as we sat and admired the view for a while. TFTC!

Fortunately, it was quiet when we found this one as our actions could have looked rather suspicious to muggles Signed log book and headed for home after a happy day's caching. TFTC!

What a view! Lovely day to have a picnic with Skatterling. We almost gave up hope of finding this one, but eventually figured it out. Summertime is going to be a bit tricky with the blackjacks which are growing nicely all around the area. Lovely cache, thanks for bringing us here.
03-Aug-10
Enjoying a late breakfast with Skatterling, who spotted this close by. She wandered off 'to get something from the car'. When she returned, I burst out laughing to see the cache container in her hand - much to the consternation of other lunchers, as we hadn't said a word to each other. Clever hide, SL, TFTC!

Found with Skatterling on a lovely day. Skatterling was convinced she knew where it was and dug around expectantly.
However, it wasn't there - surprise! After doing a bit of thinking instead of digging, I put my hand on it and we signed the log book with difficulty, as it's very wet. Perhaps in need of some maintenance.
Clever hide. No one even noticed what we were doing.

Found with Skatterling on a lovely day. I was convinced I knew where it was and dug around expectantly. However, it wasn't there - surprise - again! After doing a bit of thinking instead of digging, I put my hand on it and we signed the log book. Clever hide. No one even noticed what we were doing, which was quite a surprise as the area can be very busy. Dropped off Donkey TB. Hope he's enjoying the views.

Playing in Perth on the Cat Bus is the ideal way to get in some geocaching and sightseeing. Found with GillyBean0z and Skatterling on a lovely winter's day. TFTC!
Found with Skatterling and GillyBean0z, well, GillyBean0z found it first! Great cache, lovely place to visit, thanks for bringing us to a poignant reminder of man's political folly. TN, SL, left Guitar Hero TB and 2010 World Cup South African eraser - cos that's where we're all from.

Found with Skatterling on our quest to get 40 caches during our stay in Australia. Did this after a mosie through the Fremantle Market and the E Shed Market, dodging raindrops while we searched. Quick find, luckily no muggles around. Took Guitar Hero TB which will be dropped off in the UK later this month. LN SL TFTC!

Found with Skatterling while wandering around Perth from South Africa. In fact, we were on the CAT bus when she noticed that there was a cache in the park, so off the bus we went, of course. Great find, easily done, even got the wet knees to prove it! TNLN, SL, TFTC!
Found while out caching and sightseeing with Skatterling. I grubbed around in the bushes for about ten minutes, convinced I knew where the cache was. We decided to give up and go hunting for Hide Park. Skatterling found it easily. Took Eeyore Travel Bug, left Ghost Egg. TFTC, SL!
Second of the day while out caching with Skatterling. We're visiting from South Africa and the UK respectively, on the way to Brisbane for a family wedding. Did in conjunction with Disco n Dancing. Easy find, as I rounded the tree, I spotted it. Log book full, so we put our names on a piece of paper torn from my notebook. Lovely place to wander, thanks for bringing us here.

We'd just had a long walk around the zoo, so were not too keen on hunting forever for this nano. However, after a short chat with May Gibbs about her books and characters, the cache was retrieved, with much relief. Thanks for a great place to visit. Good tourism! TNLN,TFTC!

After a short hunt, with some amused suggestions from Skatterling, the cache was found. Very clever hide! Great also, to see an ammo cache for a change - getting rather tired of nanos all over the place. TNLN, SL, TFTC!

Shtevenator, my son, writes:
"My first car was a 1978 lime green bug. I was over the moon to have a set of wheels of my own... until it started falling apart!
After replacing the exhaust, generator and finally the engine, I figured it was starting to come right and it had developed some interesting characteristics! The headlights came on whenever I started the car and I could remove the keys from the ignition and it would keep running if the headlights were turned on. My favorite was the windscreen wipers. They would work brilliantly - until it started raining when they conked out!
Ah, good times!
I finally let her go after getting air in the brake system and having a bumper bashing. The guy I sold her to fixed her up nicely and as far as I know, she's still going strong "
Took Zero Hide Zero Find Geocoin. Will place it in a cache in England by the end of January.
Dropped off Iza Dingaling, who wants to get to the USA. Could someone move him on soon?

In Australia from the UK, doing some warm caching. Introduced my son and his fiancee to the sport, teaching them to use their new GPS. Found easily. As previous comments, cache is still damp and fairly rusty, in need of some TLC.
