Logs for Bean & Sprout

A third visit to Cambridge and, after starting this on our last visit, I was determined to turn this one into a smilie. I now knew the ‘seahorses’ I had counted last time were wrong (and were not actually the indiscriminate mosaic I had puzzled over). My excuse for not seeing the totally obvious seahorses at the waypoint is that there had been a training session going on when I visited here. So I hadn’t lingered on the veranda which is where I had needed to be as people were coming in and out. Anyhow, with help from the CO the answer had been worked out on our return home so we had the final, but we headed back to confirm for certain and also to get a picture at reality itself.
Sprout wanted to go off looking for Pokemon, so he headed off in the direction of the ‘fabulous toilets’ poker stop, which he later confirmed to be so despite costing him 20p to get in, and I headed to GZ. These things are always much easier when you are looking in the right place, but I was firstly mislead by the padlock on the opposite side before tracking down the much easier container. TFTC and the reality check!

It has been many years since I lived in Nauru; we spend a year here when I was around 5 year's old.
I remember attending the local school and being the proud owner of a chopper bike whilst here - they were all the rage a while back... Our house was high up, not least by being up the hill but also being on stilts! We used to go out in the evenings sometimes, usually to the star twinkle chineese restaurant (is it even there any more?) Here they served soy sauce in little bowls which us kids loved and woud dip our fingers in.
We were terrified by the stories of the giant wild pigs that lived on the island but I never saw any. We did once find a purple land crab in the outside toilet though when someone hadn't shut the door properly! As children we enjoyed showering in the downpipe in the warm rainwater of the rainy season and ran around mostly barefoot. We did have flipflops but these were quickly lost. When we returned to the UK we had to wear shoes which we weren't used to at all!
I would love to come back and find this cache someday. Sadly I fear it will be quite a few years more till then. In the mean time I watch this cache with interest and hope it survives until I can visit again...

Got up super early today for extra magic hours. We were following the unofficial guidebook's two day plan and had expected the park to be heaving today. But we were ready for breakfast, having done lots of extra rides, when our touring guide said we should be having lunch. And that was after riding splash mountain and the runaway train twice plus doing space mountain which wasn't even on the plan for today!
The park was busy but not heaving. Maybe all the locals were spending Easter at home..?
We did almost all the rides today, many of them twice, even after spending several hours back at our hotel for a nap during the afternoon. We could have done them all but Sprout said he was too tired so we left around 11.30pm. I guess he's too old to be excited by dumbo now he's 14
Unfortunately he took the photo of me at GZ and it's not the greatest. If I can get a better one during our holiday I'll swap it.
I also see a new cache was published at the park. We must have walked right past it when we got off the train this evening! At least we have a reason to go back to magic kingdom now. As if we needed one!
TFTvC - we had a great day at magic kingdom today and got some photos of a few if the TBs we brought with us from England.
