Logs for Benjaminady

30-Dec-14
Hurrah! Camping at Blanket Bay for a week and found this local cache. Thanks!

05-Jan-13
Hurrah! There were a large fake and a tiny real cockroach in the cache. Tftc. Visiting from Melbourne.

26-Dec-10
Found with geo kids and geospouse on our way to camp at thurra river. Woooooooohooooooooooot!!! Thankyou for placing it 'twas fun to find together. =)

22-Dec-10
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOT! Found it! I started in the right area, got frustrated, took a wild leap of misled faith and moved to an entirely different area, searched there for a long time, finally came back to the first area, searched a while longer and TADA--there it was! LOVING this series of DAMPER caches. While searching I got into a lovely conversation with a formerly English chap who's lived in Australia for 41 years--he had the most gorgeous pair of small dogs--one of them is 16 years old and feeling her age. He helps to maintain damper creek reserve, and he found out about one of the damper caches 'cause he lives right near it, and he kept seeing people out there searching for it. =).

I was hoping to see Fermat, but I guess maybe he doesn't live here anymore--it's been a couple years since any logs mention him.

Thanks so much for the caches--only one more for me to complete the Damper Set!

21-Dec-10
Found it today with my 2 geokids today, in between train and tram trips. They wanted to find it, but they're too short! =). We forgot to bring a pen, so we ducked into the hotel around the corner and borrowed one. What a teency weency little cache--what a fun little lane! Thanks so much!

19-Dec-10
Wooohooooot! Now have all pieces in hand for puzzlemania 2! What a lovely little watery spot. We had to drive through a creek on the motorcycle. What fun. I never would have figured out the clue or found the cache without geokid with me--she thought for a second and knew immediately what to do. What fun--I'm loving these caches Muzza! thank you!

I've found both Around the Ponds and Poetic License--the clues seem to lead to very ambiguous results. I searched hard in two possible GZ's, but couldn't find anything. Storm was coming up and I was on motorcycle, so off I ran to beat the rain home. Shall try again after more puzzling over possible GZ's with clues.

18-Dec-10
Found it with the 5 year old geokid who was with me. He'd never done a cache before, and was fascinated by the way the GPS worked and seemed to know where we were. I prefer to come to this little park over the much bigger one nearby because this one is always more peaceful and quiet. The log book was absolutely sopping wet and slimy--couldn't sign it.

Found it today while caching with my geokid. What a brilliant lovely spot--the muddly old Yarra, and the aquarium. Hurrah for Melbourne--greetings from an American expat =). Thanks for the cache--finding it made the day more fun =).

17-Dec-10
The log books is sopping wet and really slimy and gross. It rather needs a new one. =)

16-Dec-10
What a funny old place for a cache--celebrating loos! Love it! The hole really is only too small for biggish hands, I think.

A couple days ago I was at Melbourne Zoo, and in the spider exhibit are a bunch of HUGE, HAIRY tarantulas. When I reached in the hole for this cache, I totally felt something and thought for about 3 seconds it was some huge hairy spider. My adrenalin levels skyrocketed, and I yanked my hand out *SO* fast. Then I took a peek and it was nothing. So back down went my hand for the cache. It was pretty funny.

What a lovely little spot! Thanks fir the local history. The log book is sodden wet. Tftc and tnln.

The log book is sopping wet.

What a sneaky spot. I love it. TFTC. Definitely had to use the untied shoelaces =)

the log book is absolutely chock-a-block full, and frayed, and it could really use a new one =).

15-Dec-10
Found on the way to work this morning. Had to wait a bit with eye peeled for muggles. Tnln tftc =)

14-Dec-10
Fun little hiding place. The little ziploc bag inside is damaged, and looks like the log book got a little wet. But it's fine to sign. Zipped by here on my way to work this morning. TFTC!

12-Dec-10
Found it on a rainy, then sunny, then rainy, then sunny afternoon--I was dodging raindrops. I love this series of caches--I'm getting so much more of a sense of place here in Port Philip.

TFTC!

Found this today in the on again off again rain. It's nice to see that some people at least tried to take steps to keep the nasty old gran prix out of our beautiful park. The funny thing is that at first, I stuck the coordinates for the plaque into google maps, and google maps drops a pin in albert park right next to the lake which is the location of a *different* plaque, and which is also about 300 meters from the actual cache location. I had to plug the coordinates into my actual gps to find the right plaque, and then back to where I started almost, to find the cache. =) TFTC!

The log book is totally soaking wet--it can't really be written on. I think perhaps it needs a new log and a more waterproof container.

What a lovely little spot--lots of ghosts! At first I walked right among the ghosts, then had to backtrack and take a slightly different course

Found today in the on again/off again rain. What fun finding the clues! The final location of the cache is really a little gem as well. TFTC!

11-Dec-10
Woooohooooot! I've never got to look at such a kewl old train engine up close before! Awesome--must have been such a sight to see this behemoth rolling down the tracks. Lots of muggles around, so I had to wait to find and to replace. The hint helped a lot! I was at a picnic with about 100 other people at the park--what a lovely location! TFTC!

Found this today while visiting Melbourne Zoo. Very fun location and giant theme. Found and took a geo coin named Wubber Duckie! TFTC!

This was actually the second time I found this cache--the first time I didn't know how to open it (yes, I know, very silly---unscrew, you knucklehead) and I didn't have a pen. This time I signed the logbook and did a couple other nearby caches. TFTC--great fun location. I've never seen a nano before--didn't know about them. So I learned something. WOOOOOT!!!

This cache really needs maintenance--the container is badly broken, and the log book is sopping wet--although I was still able to write in it, very gently =). It might need to be hidden better or shifted slightly--it looks like a lot of muggles have crazy parties in this location. TFTC! TNLN

10-Dec-10
Hooray!! Found it. What a beautiful spot! And what a great hiding spot! Left a Team Kobe card, and took clues for puzzlemania #2. TFTC! My lover and I found this as we had the morning off =)

The container is broken and the log book is wet. Needs a new container, new log book, and perhaps slightly better hiding spot.

09-Dec-10
Hooray! What a brilliant location! WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOT! found it just before a big rain storm started. TFTC. Grabbed a travel bug, Wombat Al, whom I shall move along presently. =)

What a brilliant location/container! Love it. The logsheet got a little damp--perhaps with all the big rain lately. It's still writeable on. I took a different way home from work today and when I saw this little park, I thought to check my iphone app for cache's and sure enough, TADA! TNLN. TFTC

Wow--I run through here on my lunch break twice a week, and dance right above this cache, never realizing what was there! Awesome! TFTC! TNLN.

Someone left the little sandwich bag with the log book unsealed, so it go wet in all this rain =(. Still writeable in, however. Love the hiding spot! I run through here twice a week on my lunch break. Thanks kindly for the cache--took a little keychain with token for shopping trolleys, left a gold coin =).

07-Dec-10
The plaque was totally interesting--hard to imagine over a hundred years ago when residents of this area were "settlers". It was pouring rain, and I searched for about 10 minutes before finding the cache--love the container color! TFTC!

06-Dec-10
I went looking for this cache as my second ever cache--found the "X marks the memory" plaque, but couldn't find the cache at all after searching for ages. I've done a few caches since, and learned a bit, and this time I noticed the extra info and found the cache easily. Great hiding spot! TNLN. TFTC!

I popped down to look for this cache this morning before work. After searching for a while, I found the logbook, sitting on top of a bush riddled with vermin. Never found the container. I'm thinking it's been muggled.

05-Dec-10
Looked for this cache while running around the lake. It started pouring rain halfway through my run--- I got soaked, but the park and lake are SO beautiful in the rain! Searched for about 20 minutes. Finally found it--I had already looked at the very spot 20 times! =). Cute little container--great spot! TFTC! =)

Found and there are only two blank pages left in the tiny logbook.

What a gorgeous location on Freycinet Peninsula! TFTC! =)

What a brilliant cache location. This was my second ever cache-- found with my lovely bride on our tenth wedding anniversary vacation. Took tweezers as ours were list recently. Left blackcurrant tea bag and a tea candle. Freycinet peninsula is so beautiful. =)
