Logs for BonjourBonjour!

21-Sep-17
Attending the International Association of Programs for Agricultural Leadership. We have had a great week in the Kimberly's and then in Darwin meeting with the Nuffield Scholars. It was dark when I went out to find this so I did not want to risk the cliffs.

04-Aug-12
On the way to an entomology meeting in Colorado from scorching hot Oklahoma. Really enjoying the cool evening.

02-Sep-04
My wife and I found it on August 19 but have been traveling throuhout Australia and have now returned to the U.S.A. and can log it. I was attending the International Congress of Entomology so it was only appropriate that we found the ENTSOC BUG1 travel bug started by our friend NevaP. We at least will deposit it in a cache here in the U.S.A. for its continued journey to Salt Lake City, Utah for the next Entomological Society of America meeting in November. We left an Oklahoma rose rock. We really enjoyed Brisbane and the rest of Queensland!

It was our last day in Cairns after having a great vacation from Oklahoma, U.S.A. and we just had to find this one before going back to the beach. We had looked earlier but discovered that we were on the wrong side of the hill and did not have time to get to the other side that day. After a climb, we found the cache easily. The view was great and it gave a neat perspective of the airport and city. We took the Australian temporary tatoos for our kids and left a Virginia state quarter.

It was unfortunate that we arrived in Port Douglas in the early evening. We did not see much of the beaches and had some trouble finding this cache because we were on the wrong side of the hill. The night view was interesting once we found the viewpoint. We will have to plan another trip to Australia from the U.S. and will definitely put Port Douglas on the itinery.

We arrived in Cairns yesterday after having spent a week in Brisbane attending the International Congress of Entomology. It was late this afternoon when we set off to find this cache. The trail at the beginning was clear but then the GPS sent us off into the bush. Luckily it was the dry season because we went through some low lands that would normally be swampy. After fighting our way through the bush, we found the cache. We took the Gull Rock key chain and left a U.S. Vermont state quarter. Now our challenge was to find our way back as it was quickly getting dark. We set off and luckiy found the main trail after just a little fretting. My wife said that the little green frogs in the woman's restroom by the parking area were cute.

My wife joined me today from the U.S. as I was attending the International Congress of Entomology. We found the velcro immediately but there was nothing attached. We checked back on August 21 and agian on August 28 before we returned to the U.S. but still nothing.
