Good morning,
Yesterday, 12-1-21 we headed up to Mt. Vincent to replace Noonan’s Discovery. We left the original 02 cache and placed the replacement cache in the new cache.
Please note- the road in and out has degraded significantly and is no longer 2wd friendly. You will need to hike in and out from the road or use a 4WD.
The cache is much much larger, restocked and easier to find as it almost doesn’t fit on the original hide.
Thanks for those who have found and left positive comment other than TFTC etc.
Regards, The Bronze and LittleMiss.

Our second find for the day after a nearby DNF. This time it was the middle sisters time to discover the cache and it was a very easy find. We parked up on the Buttaba Hills Road and then made our way about 150meters down into the bush. A nice spot I’ve never been into before. Lovely afternoon and a cool cache. Good hide and a recommended cache.
I nice easy local cache. Decided to take my daughter Geocaching today. Renewed my premium and this was the last cache of the day. Great afternoon. 4 finds and one DNF. I nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Kids had a ball but they cannot log this one of course. Thanks for the hide.
After a brief hiatus, decided to take the girls out today for a bit of a cache hunt. Started with this Fishing Point #1 cache. A cool afternoon but a beautiful spot. Lots of little hide holes and we needed the hint to eventually nail it down. The eldest of the Sisters uncovered it and it wasn’t what I was expecting. Cool looking little cache. Kids had a great time. Great view. Yes I can see why the hiders were caution with having little kids nearby but I think from the age of 6 or 7 should be fine. Local nearby boaters fishing near the shoreline were watching us wondering, I guess what we were up to.
Thanks for this hide. I nice cache to introduce the girls to the world of Geocaching.
Thanks for this hide. I nice cache to introduce the girls to the world of Geocaching.
Have to have at least one DNF for the day and this one was it.
Lotsa little hide holes but none with a cache in them.
I thought the girls would be very disappointed but they were actually quite cool with it.
Anyway, the owners may want to have a look and see if it does actually exist.

Hmmmmm. Not a good cache. Should have kept driving. Risky pulling up on the side of a busy 80kph zone and getting my kids out of the car. Not safe. An easy drive by cache with no much of a view. Caches like these are the reason I stopped Geocaching a few years ago. My littlest girl did log it as her first find. My eldest found it first but kept quiet until the little one uncovered it herself. She was very proud. Yeah, not the best location but I guess you take the good with the bad.
My suggestion is unless you have a 4WD and can get right off the road I suggest you park a couple of hundred meters down the road at the industrial estate and walk up to the cache.
Thanks for the hide.

Search around for about 10 to 15 minutes. Found the Face and searched that rock and all the other nearby cracks and crevices in both tree and rocks within 10m of the Face. Did find a little octopus toy on the ground amongst the leaf litter.
Will return and have a better look another day.

Great cache. What geocaching is supposed to be like. A nice walk. Great view and interesting place. Tick, tick and tick.
Took TB and hid The Law.

Stars are: 22nd July 2018.
Called in to just check on Noonan’s Discovery with my Doofus Dog Ojo.
All is in order but the toy choice was a bit ordinary so added a couple of new items.
Met with some motorcyclists who helped me get my dog (a Great Dane) down where the steps are missing.

Yep. Definitely not here. Aussie Wolves and I had a good look for about 10mins. If it is here it's well hidden.
Aussie Wolves and I had a great day out searching local caches. Really enjoyed this one. Well done Wallabies.
I was here with my niece a few months ago and it's changed a lot with the recent fires.
Thanks folks for providing a great view and clever cache. Need more of it.

Thank you Caits19 for the hide. A wonderful introduction for my student DAC and DMC for who this was their second find in the week. They appreciated your resourcefulness. We made the log fast under the duress of Mosquitoes. I'm certain they are not their often but were this day.
Thank you for the hide. Very enjoyable and an interesting spot to visit for sure.

Just had a chat with my Father-in-law who lives in Agnes Water nearby and he has checked on this cache. It is in good condition. He is going to return again soon with a replacement logbook.
Thanks Chappo.
Glad everyone is enjoying this cache. Please be careful of the flora as you ascend and descend the hill.

Visiting Maitland Goal with students and had some time after Lunch. A nice little hide and easy for introducing the game.
Also found by BugDrew & DMC with me. It was actually DMC that discovered it.
I enjoy caches with a little interesting history. Thanks so much for the hide.

Glad to see a lot of people enjoying this cache Chandler and I put out many years ago.
We will be returning to it in the next month to replace the cache container, put in a new logbook and replace the treasure.
Thank you for your kind comments and detailed logs of your adventures finding this cache.
If you like this cache I highly recommend "Telegherry Tantalizer" (3.5/5) cache http://coord.info/GCJ65E

---New Years Day 2015---
Beautiful Day to go Geocaching and my favourite caching spot.
This cache is still operational, just. It has been heat affected and some of the contents was melted. Therefore the treasure was cactus but the logbook was fine, although a bit smelly. An audiobook melted all over it.
I will return soon and refill the cache with some treasure for the kiddies, until then it just a great spot to swim and leave a log.
The Track: The bridge is out but one log remains to walk over. Someone has excavated the gully so four wheel drives would be able to cross further upstream. The track is very rutted so no 2wd access unless you hate your car.
I would recommend you take water when walking in and insect repellent in summer and spring.
Absolutely beautiful spot to swim and by the time you find it, log it and put it back you'll want one. Bring your swimmers.
Hope to have this cache replaced with a new one in the next month.

Didn't find it with the 1st Rathmines Venturers. Lots going on here with a nearby tree being felled and taped off.

Just a quick check on the point of this cache. I have read that the cache has been buried on occasion. Please replace the cache where you find it. There is no need for it to be buried. A branch over the top will be fine. Thank you.
Thank you for all your nice comments. The final waypoint is nothing spectular. it just over looks the community you have been reading about so you can have a good view of the lake and surrounds before heading off.

Visited one of my favorite caches. Koi. Love this cache. Glad to see improvements to the gardens. Sensory Gardens look and smell and feel great. Thanks for keeping this maintained Netskis.
This was not a fun cache. At home licking my wounds. Scratched to bits. I remember why I don't cache as much. Left my youngest in the car. Too dangerous for him. I believe that this would be on Private Property as its an access to two properties and would be owned by one or another judging by the fencing and markers at the entrance.
I rescued the two travel bugs to take to Pizza Night at the pastoral tonight.

Ok...
So after a midnight visit ourselves, Nuts, Tratty, Paulie and Myself (Nov 26th, 2011) we declared the cache we and truly engulfed below at least 5m of shift sand. As a result I have prepared a replacement cache and it was places on the 30th of December when I was visiting with some other Beach Buggy guys.
The replacement cache has been tied up high. Please when you replace it also secure it up higher than the sand level. There is more wire inside the cache. I was assisted by The Toddy and TurboMick.

Apologies for those that missed out on logging this cache. If you visited the site and the cache was inaccessible I feel you should, If you want, you can actually claim a log.
Before you go find this cache be sure to go have a look through the Photo Gallery to get some idea just how much sand has moved. Absolutely Amazing!

The Bronze and hangers on may be able to make it. Unsure at this stage as we're making the weekend up as we go along. As the Watagans are on my back door I hope to be able to pop up and say Hi to some familiar faces and meet some new friends.
I've got raffle tickets to sell in the morning but hope to come up from just after lunch time Saturday. Hmmm, just remembered. Gotta pick up a bunk bed from the Central Coast sometime tomorrow so maybe late afternoon. See how we go.
Thanks Burners for the invite. Beautiful time of the year to camp.
Regards.

Dropping off Steamer 1077 after its hiatus in a moving box for about three years. It's been found twice and remisplaced so this time it's free! Apologies for the hold up. Boilers stoked and its full steam ahead if this cache is ever found.
Note: Bonus point for the finder who can explain why this cache is called A24.

Called into a friends place and said "Hey, you wanna go do something really geeky". With a yes reply I introduced him and his daughters to Geocaching.
iPhone in hand, a brief introduction and a warning to what muggles are we set off to find "Fishing the Point".
With a little bit of GeoShuffle at Ground Zero we honed in using the clue.
The logbook name for our newest Geocaching Family is "The Kiwi Clan". Welcome.
Special thanks to Mick for the hide. Yes, another beautiful part of the world indeed.
A great cache to do at sunrise and sunset.

Our fourth cache for the day and second ever for "The Kiwi Clan". Friends I have introduced to caching this afternoon.
A nice little spot on the waters edge. This locale has the best burgers on the western side of the lake. Try the "Wild Cat Burger" if you get the chance.
Thanks Mick for the hide. Great to get outside on a cold windy Sunday with friends.

Such a beautiful day. I had been wanting to find this (and its neighbor) caches for quite some time.
A beautiful spot Rathmines. So beautiful I have chosen to settle and raise my children here. I have left my phone number in the log for those who feel like a coffee and a chat.
Thanks Cashman for the hide. I nice little cache in a beautiful spot.

Thanks Cashman for getting me out of the house on such a beautiful day.
Hunter and I set out to try the new iPhone GPS intro app today. Was great to find a cache or two in the local area.
Rathmines is such a hidden and beautiful, historic community. I've been looking forward to seeking these out for some time.
I've put my phone number in the cache for travelers who would like to call in for a coffee.

I will endeavor to get to this and my other nearby cache this weekend to render some maintenance. I am sad to hear the the surrounds have become a refuse station. I remember this as a beautiful picnic spot. Its sad to think that the locals don't think of this as a place to respect. The road has always been a bit ordinary.

Upped the difficulty and terrain by popular demand
Difficulty from 2 up to 2.5
Terrain from 2 up to 3.
Pleased be advised cachers that when you arrive you simply park in the carpark and walk up the hill. There is a path. You might have to duck under some cabbage palms but your walk should be minimal impact to the environment.
A long time ago I got an abusive email from someone who tried scaling a cliff to get to this cache. It's not 5/5. It's a family cache. I have taken my parents aged 60 to this cache and there both smokers. Please use your common sense. I didn't want the terrain rating too high because it is only a walk up a steep, grassy hill, not an abseil course. If you near cliffs, sea spray and the catwalk itself you HAVE GONE THE WRONG WAY. Turn around and go back.
Follow your GPS arrow from the carpark.

Was here. Visited this. Great to meet the community. Looking forward to future events. I couldn't stay long and only got to chat to a few people but I would like to commend the organisers and also thank Mix for bringing this event to my attention. It looked very like it was well organised and is hopefully the first of many to come.
Glad to be able to put some faces to names.
