Watchlist notified me of a travel bug in this cache that is way behind in it's race to Alaska so with Spud & co went to retrieve it and get it back on it's way. TFTC and to Chris for working out the co-ords 

Just a couple today, mainly to retrieve a known travel racer (bug) from a cache in Tawa where it had been for a while and get it back in the race to Alaska. Easy find, TFTC 

First cache for the 31 days of August. I've been meaning to do the caches on this track for ages so one done, five to go. TFTC

Great day for Geocaching and have wanted to come out to this area for a while now to get some of these caches. A real shame the whole area does not allow dogs, even on a lead so only got two caches and went elsewhere. TFTC

Thought I should get a few of the caches in Spicers Forest done before they're buried under a wind farm so included this one on the way back. Found while walking the pooch with Cindy aka GT1CM2. TFTC

Didn't find it logs look to be the norm for this one and don't think from the location off the track that it would have been muggled. GPS was having some difficulty under the canopy knowing exactly where we were but searched for a long time around obvious clue location and others handy to GZ before giving up and moving on. Clue item is quite long so possibly changing the clue to include compass bearing for end which cache is under may help. Maybe after checking that it's still there. Cheers.

Evening caching mission with a mate Matt, his dog Lola and the pooch, Charlie. Really windy up here tonight but always good to be outside. #100 cache find for me so it's great to have that one ticked off. If anyone is reading this in the near future and heading for this cache please note that there has been quite a bit of stinging nettle come up with the spring growth but thankfully not right near the cache. TFTC

Wasen't sure the cache had a log book in it to start with but then really put my heart into it and there it was. Looks like theres been some work cutting the scrub around GZ that has damaged the cache container a little with a small piece missing from the lid/screw on section but not major. TFTC 

Hi Taybee, I visited this cache yesterday and the log book was really soggy. I did write my details in but it looks like the rubber seal is quite perished. Cheers

Just a one cache day today to exercise the dog. Found with a mate Dave and my new pooch Charlie. Great spot on top of sneak peak for a view back towards Wellington and amazing how on top of a peak how with a few gorse bushes and a backdrop of tree how out of the wind you can be. TFTC & a great spot. 

Haha, classic rookie mistake of following the needle down from the last cache thinking this one was in the middle of where we were and where we were going which provided a laugh for myself and a mate, Mark and another geocaching adventure for the pooch. Easy find once at GZ, TFTC. 

Well that will teach me not to just blindly load caches into the GPS and head out the door. Had I read the description I would have seen this was one in a series and took note of the information needed for the later caches. Oh well not far from home and a few more to get from the area so ill put that down to 'every day's a school day' TFTC. 

Found while out walking with the pooch and a mate Mark up around Mt Vic. Great hill for views of the city and haven't done much walking up here since living in Kilbirnie over two years ago so thanks for providing an excuse to get back here and for the cache placement. Easy find. 

GPS seemed to be giving me a few possible location in close proximity for this one but a quick find with a good clue. Mt Vic, great area for some geocaching and a fun afternoon out with a mate, Mark and the pooch, Charlie. Charlie's a chocolate lab and is trackable so anyone reading this log that see's us out and about should stop us and check his collar. It will only cost you a scratch, haha. TFTC.

I must have used my phone, not my GPS to locate GZ as the GPS doesn't have it as found in the Calendar but you'll find my name and date in the log book. I've dived at sharks tooth the rock just off this point many times so great to get back here with another purpose in mind. TFTC.

Fluke find as I was not actually geocaching at the time & didnt have any loaded in my gps so bonus cache. Signed log which was pretty wet. TFTC
