This believe this cache was removed or stolen. We have not been able to locate it. It is possible with the wet weather the creek rose and it floated away!? It does seem a bit unlikely. We are not in a position to maintain it anymore due to a death in the family, and a move, so unfortunately we will need to archive this cache. Its been fun while it lasted and a very pretty location with a great bush walk.

Disabled temporarily as cache has gone missing. We are not sure if someone has interfered with it or if a nearby creek overflowed and it washed away. It will be replaced after winter, so Oct sometime.

In Memory of Capt Bob

Checked up on Big Fellas. After reading reports of trouble with the GPS location I decided to check the position again. It was spot on and I had no reception problems with my Garmin Oregon 550. There is a new fallen tree near by that happened during a recent storm, but we had no problem finding the cache with a minimum of looking around.
The red rag was left accidently from the last maintenance visit to (wipe the box and hands) so we left it in there in case you need it.

The walk is still magical, the Tui and Wood Pigeon were all over the forest. Everything is in bloom and trail was still immaculate.
