Logs for Charlie&RJ 

My sister had been told me about this cache some time ago, finally with some time on our hands. Miss 11 and Master 8 land I istened some good old Sam Hunt poems and grabbed some batteries to see if we could crack this one. Needed the hint for the first part. Loved the cache, definitely a favourite point, very crafty!!! Kids and I were most impressed. Tftc!!! 

This one took us ages! We were looking in wrong place and was almost ready to give up when I realised it was a micro cache and so had an idea. Sure enough! Cache was found! Tftc! 

The day was super stormy, so decided this cache was perfect for the kids and I. Master 6 figured out where we needed to be and discovered the cache in plain sight. Lots of mugglers around so we stealthily carried the cache away to sign the log, then returned to original position. This was a fun cache for the kids! TFTC 

We were just heading out for a walk on our beautiful Maunga when I remembered there was a cache we hadn’t found on the track we were on. Found that one, then discover this very new one also just published today. Luckily we had enough hands, large and small and the right tools for the job. We had heaps of fun doing this one. Our little miss 4 was a little too close to the cache once the many hands were not required, which was quite a laugh!

Out for a family stroll and remembered that this geocache was nearby. I’m originally from Taupo so had a pretty good idea about what I was looking for. Very clever! Originally we started looking in the wrong spot, but a previous post helped us out. Then found quickly. Great cache team. TFTC!! 

The kids and I were up for a bit of an adventure today and decided to take on this cache as it looked interesting. We allowed a couple of hours and that was a good amount of time for slow stroll around the park with three kids between 4 and 10 and to gather the clues. The kids loved this and did really well getting most of the correct details. We got a bit confused on the last WP, but after a dialogue with the CO we were back on track!

We headed off with much anticipation to find the sword at the final. We were met by the CO nearby who kindly offered to help us if required. Miss 10 led us to the final and we were not disappointed! One of the best caches we have ever seen. Master 6 was particularly impressed. Miss 10 quickly figured out the first part of the mystery and then we got some suggestions from the CO on how to release the sword as brute strength certainly was not an option. What a great cache design and cool spot for it. We loved the whole experience. A special thank you to the CO for all the help and advice! Definitely a favourite from our team!! 

We had seen that this new cache had been placed on our Maunga recently so we were excited to head out and find it. Today we celebrated your youngest’s 4th birthday, so between dinner and birthday dessert we decided to head out on an adventure. We know this area very well as we have roamed it a lot during lockdown. The kids found the spot and started to search furiously at one point we lost one of the kids down a hole! Our 6 year old was on the right track and came up with the goods. We then thought we had been caught by mugglers, however it was our neighbours and their dog. So after catching up with them we returned the cache and headed home for cheesecake. Loved the cache and location! It was a first 2TF for us! TFTC! 

Spent the day at Omana with the kids and we decided to go find this cache after some time at the nearby playground. Nice hide, we found some cool huts around here too. TFTC! 

We were spending the day out at Omana with the kids and thought we would attempt this one. I was a bit concerned about the difficulty level, but I liked how the cache owner said he was happy to help.
We located the cache easily enough, then got stumped. Tried a few things, but none seemed to work. After some time we decided to contact the cache owner and he was amazing at providing some light on the puzzle before us. We had been close, but our vision was blurred. Now we were back on track we quickly got the padlock open. Battery in hood working order. The kids (and us big kids) loved this cache. One of my favourites. Great puzzle!! Thanks for this awesome cache!!! 

Spotted this one on a run with my 3 yr old on her bike. She wanted to stop and play and I thought I’d give this one another hint. I’d previously tried to find this with all 3 kids without luck. After some hints from the cache owner, I was def in the right spot and finally found it! No tools or pen with me, but next time I will bring the right tools to sign it! 

Wow! What a great way to navigate these beautiful gardens! Myself, Miss 9, Master 6 and Little Miss 3 did the first adventure lab last weekend and finished the bonus geocache today. We love the botanical gardens especially at this time of the year, but the hunt made it even more enjoyable. The final cache was awesome. In fact Miss 9 said it was epic!!! Great idea, super fun and perfect day out for the kids. TFTC, definitely a favourite for us!!! 

Found this one quite quickly as it was in full visibility! Put it back as I suspect it is supposed to be hid. TFTC

Was enjoying the local park with the kids and decided to find this cache. Quick find for us today! TFTC!! 

Found this cache a while ago. Finally logging it. We walk past it most days, so nice to have this one. Tftc! 

We spent the day out at this great spot! Kids wanted to check out the island and we realised there was a cache to be found. Searched high and low for quite a while, before the kids got distracted by the jellyfish in the rock pools. Then as we were leaving I found a small container lying on the rocks. Amazingly it was the cache, I guess it must have fallen from its original spot, so put it back in the most obvious place. Didn’t sign as no pen, but got a photo of it. Log is still in good condition. TFTC 

Quick find for the kids. Although so many people walking today so had to be stealth! The log needs to be replaced. Tftc! 

Awesome cache. It’s well hidden in a great spot! Husband left me and master 6, while took the younger one to find a toilet, so unfortunately no pen to sign. But got a photo of the lid as proof.

Out mountain biking with master 4 and 1. Stopped to check out the trees we planted here a year ago with Sustainable Coastlines and saw there was a cache less than 20 metres away. Found it after a couple of searches. Lovely place! Tftc

Found this today with tipsytrout and the young kids. This iconic bike is pretty cool up close too! It actually took us ages to find, we were just about to give up when we had one last look...... and we finally spotted the well hidden cache! No need for us to bring our treasure bag for swaps this time! tftc!! 

Quick walk with the little ones at Huka Falls and decided to find this cache. I used to live in Taupo and this was one of my favourite running tracks, nice to revisit;) cache was quickly located by Miss 6. Tftc

Found this today while out hiding some rocks with the kids. Took a bit of time, as the cache was under and below not up. So we put it back up where we thought it should go. Put a rock in too for someone to hide in the wetlands. Tftc

Tftc! We took master 2 and miss 5 weeks for a walk / bike ride on this new pathway, it's really lovely down here with beautiful views over the lake towards the mountains. Easy find. Looks like there was a guard in the tree above where the cache lays, although he's seen better days

Out for a walk today with the family today and decided to take a rest here. Found the cache easily then sat and enjoyed the view in the sun while eating our morning tea. Lovely spot tftc 

Out for a walk with Master 2 and his Nana, thought we'd have a go at this one. Took a while to find it then stopped and looked around, something grabbed my attention. What an awesome cache, love it!! Great for kids too tftc

Great cache! Picked up my sister and family at the airport and decided to see if we could find this one on our way home. Took some time to find, but after after using a tapping device, we finally found the cache! Absolutely loved the camo, such a fun find for the kids!! Tftc

We love this bike park for the kids. It's awesome! Decided to find this cache while eating our ice creams at the end of the biking. After reading the description it didn't take too long to find. Great camo! Tftc!! 

Had a few places to look for this one. Finally found with the help of a Geocaching friend. Tftc!
