Logs for Darozalu

05-Oct-09
So disappointed. Dad's first cache hunt and no sign of it anywhere! We poked, looked, felt and no cache. Got some great photos though!!! Like Arnold once said, "we'll be back"!!! Or Angry Anderson, "we won't be beaten".

Hidden away and almost out of site, Dad and Mr 9 stuck their heads in a hole and spied it from another angle!! Dad's first successful find. Took: puppy finger puppet. Left: tiny ten pin.

Obviously 2 things that weren't in our favour 1. school holidays and 2. we are very new at this caching stuff!! Too many kids (including our own) wanting to slide and by the sounds of other logs this one needed some working out time. We will not be defeated. A close park that we can return to. We want to find this one.

One of the best finds for the day (hunting the western suburbs). Kids were thrilled. Mr. 9 found it. Took a crows tattoo and left a North Adelaide Football Club wrist band. Hunted in conjunction with Nan Rock'n Robyn!!! Put everything back in its very clever hiding spot. Log book is FULL.

The kids were in a dilema, find cache or play on the equipment?? Nah, find the cache first - they are really catching on to this geocaching stuff. Found by Mr. 6 who took the yellow bouncy ball (and is loving it) and replaced by Lego brick. This cache the kids thought was like finding a real treasure chest on a sandy deserted island.

With Nan Rock'n Robyn in tow, kids and I went for a leisurely stroll and BINGO found it instantly. No one walked by so we were only spied by on coming cars which would have thought Nan was attending to grand kids' shoe laces. Loved the hide. Kids thought it was great.

One of our western suburb caches that we could not find. The obvious landmark did not produce the goods that we thought we were going to get! Not much else around to fossick through so we think we'll leave this one for a while and see if anyone else pulls up short??!! Beedoubleo Aitchdoubleo!!!!

Fantastic - we found our first cache in a park we pass numerous times everyday!!!
We now have the bug!
