Logs for Daveanddino

05-Jan-17
Actually found it Christmas day. A sneaky one and it took several attempts to find.
SL TFTC Great one.

22-Mar-16
This got the better of me. I had to go back and find this one. So cleverly done, I almost stumbled onto it. Very well done. Thanks heaps for this little gem. Had me stumped for a while.

19-Mar-16
After 3rd attempt, found it. So obvious when found, not so easy until then. Unfortunately some seekers have damaged the fence around the plinth and even part of the loco itself. You should never need to damage anything looking for a cache.
TFTC heaps

18-Feb-16
Obviously too well hidden for us. Twice hunted, twice beaten, it deserves to be now left alone.

Wow, this was a sneaky. The gps was off a bit so looked in wrong spot about 15 ft away 'til I noticed a well hidden track and followed it and Lo and behold, there it was hidden underfoot. Thanks for this new experience for me. I have never seen one like this so was quite excited about it.
Left a few little things there for someone to enjoy.

Incredible; I have driven along this road for heaps of years and never noticed the old lockup. That's what I like about caging, finding things not noticed before
Thanks for enlightening me further and putting a cache for me to find and making me stop for a break.

Aha, tricky one. gps bouncing all over. What a magnificent view from up there. Someone was burning off up there, but not too bad.
Thanks to you I could see further than my eyesight would normally allow.
Left something there. Took a little sticker of a truck, it made me chuckle. TFTC.

Another hidden treasure for me. I hope they never stop. Thanks for this one, a piece of history not forgotten.

Thanks for the great area and cache. Left a couple of goodies for the next adventurer.

03-Aug-14
Wow, love it.
With Dino&dave we were first to find.
Interestingly enough, we travel past that track almost every day and have never gone along it. We will now.
TFTC TNL a marble, that's all that would fit in.

13-Jul-14
Very nice hide at a very busy spot under normal weekdays, but on Sundays, nice and quiet.
Thanks for that

Tricky little one. Telecom hint helped, ta.

Could not see signal, however I could imagine a lot of scurrying around 150 years ago near here. A few telltale signs of a lot of broken dreams and backs.

My first, but hopefully not last, walk on the trail. Found a few today along there and have left a lot more for other days to get me back there. Love the trail

Certainly made me feel my pulse after the walk. Thought I may be a resident at the final resting place had I continued

No swoops, good timing. Weather a little threatening, but fine. Made a good walk heaps more interesting.
Thankyou cachers.

Cool

I had to feel a bit under the weather on this one.
The container really does need replacing, all contents were ruined by water getting in. I would have loved the mini cards but all mush now. Sorry.
Excellent hide too, thanks

Found with the help of a brand new geocaching gps. Tiny screen being stared at by a tiny brain does not make for an easy job, but got there.
Thanks again

Not bad at all. What a great place for a travel break. The best of the free elec barbies I've seen. Two of them. Fairly well sheltered fro the elements and virtually invisible to muggles. This one deserves a huge thanks to the cache supplier. Our family has now found a new meeting place, being close to central (more in my favour) to us all.
I'm relatively new to geocaching and have found so many new places that I have just blindly driven past. Thanks to everyone.

17-Jun-14
The logging caper has blocked off all roads into that area and signed it as private property so we stayed out of there

That was interesting. Never knew that I really sweat even on bitterly cold days. What a great way to get fitter.

I did find the place where I reckon it was and found broken pieces of what I believe would have been the cache. Sadly it is now not a usable entity.

This one makes me feel like I need to branch out and do more hunting for these.

Well done, would have been interesting going over that in its day. Wettish day. Just really getting into caching, so a bit of a newby

Looking around here made me wonder how many backs and hearts were broken in that area

A lot of water over there

16-Jun-14
Wonderful heights, can see everywhere.
Very windy up there and a bit of misty rain. Be prepared for a little steep walk. Could be tricky during total fire ban days, they close the road off according to a sign I saw.
I enjoyed the walk because I need the exercise (not kidding, very unfit) to pick up again.

Would have been a lovely spot before the turn of the century. Notice how the few headstones are so well preserved because of correct placement. They didn't need a computer to tell them which way the weather came from.

Who let the dog out? Would have been peaceful without the dog. No wonder they changed places for those trying to have the long rest.

This sure would shift some water if it ever rained Smile at Dunolly.

Sneaky one. Put a few little zippy bags in your tote, have found a few that need replacing.

Very cleverly done. I'm learning more each day. Thanks

Very cleverly done

Wow, that took me a while. Very easy once you know where. Enjoy a thermos of hot water with your choice of beverage while relaxing.

Certainly shows the signs of what once was for the good people of Dunolly

Very, very sticky fine black powder mud to walk on. It really is a wasteland now. I recall when both lakes were only the road width apart. I thought they were one lake with a bridge across the first time I drove it many years ago.

31-May-14
Almost tricky and dampish. One wrong step and visit platypus

Very nice, thanks. The low dome helps a bit

Well done, had swim while here

Not bad, almost missed it.

Thanks. Case needs new lid, please replace upside down when you find it. Ta

Yay, number 2 for me. Thanks again.

Well done, my first find and will be changing my name for future use. Thanks heaps

30-May-14
Had me stumped for a bit Smile

African or Indian? Big one either way.
