Fabulous day - not a breath of wind, even at the top. Actually fell asleep whilst enjoying the view/solitude. Luckily had come across this type of cache before, otherwise might well have missed it. TFTC. DrJohnB (& Ali - who found it!).

Nicely hidden!! Quite a trek to get here so I didn't want to leave without finding cache; however co-ords were spot-on.

Nice easy find close to track. Cache was uncovered by Edie - aged 3. Dropped off TB "Upper Class" which had travelled Heathrow to LA on Virgin, and then on to Auckland and Wellington on Air NZ. Photos to follow.

No joy unfortunately. Aging GPS equipment was further hampered by tree cover, and close proximity to hills. The decrypts should have pointed us to a fairly specific area, but four of us couldn't locate it Sad We did find one specific place that seemed to tie in perfectly with the decrypts, so we were wondering if the cache might have 'been got'. Interested to see if the next lot find it !

A lovely spot - very scenic and worth a trip.

Whilst DrJohnB slept on a cold UK winters night, his wife, her aunt, and her cousin found this one ! Lovely view and found the clue OK, despite an aging GPS system leading us marginally astray. Used the clue to find it, and problems compounded as we got one of the two letter words in the clue slightly wrong. "is" and "of" having a very different meaning !

Left TB There and Back Again which was picked up in Wellington on Thursday and crossed the Strait on the Ferry on Friday (ystdy). We have taken TB Rescue Lee who will be en-route to the UK in two weeks time !

27-Jan-05
Found nice and easily on a very warm, clear, still (honest !) Wellington morning. Ali and Kate on holiday from Derby in UK (DrJohnB remaining in very cold, cloudy, windy UK). And cousin Ed from Welly as the geocache tour guide.

Took TB 'There and Back again' and likely to cross the Cook Strait on the Ferry tomorrow en route to a nice spot in the Nelson region.

Left a very jetlagged TB 'John's Sully' having made the journey from London via Los Angeles over the previous 72 hours. John's Sully enjoyed the fine panoramic view of the Capital - "just the tonic after that long flight".
