Went to the memorial just before dinner. solve the mystery while eating at an Italian restaurant. Afterwards I walked to the coordinates and found the container quickly. sad to see how this part of the city was damaged by the earthquake.

Thanks,

This is probably my last find in New Zealand. I had a great journey with many unexpected adventures. Thanks for placing this one here!

When we came here by bus from the airport today I decided to take out my flip-flops and walk over to the little island. I searched for a couple of minutes until I could finally spot the container. Thank you very much for the nice hide, definitely an extraordinary experience in the city...

Thanks,
Erkrath_Germany

Nicely done, I wish there were more caches out there like this. Found it on the way from christchurch to Hanmer springs and saw it pop up because of all the favorite points.

Incredible how destructive earth can be. As a foreigner I cannot imagine that the ground, something so solid, could start shaking without warning.

Thanks,

Solve this puzzle earlier today and came here to find the cache after a nice dinner at a burger place... It was a nice mystery and a nice final container so I am going to drop a favorite point!

I did it! What an adventure it was finding this old cache. The hardest part, (getting there) took me about 45 minutes. I crossed the river at: S44 59.958 E168 0.295 the deepest part here was about 3 feet and the current wasn't too strong...
Upon getting to the other side I changed into long pants, it was definitely a good idea to bring them along!
From there on I just walked as fast to the GZ as I could. I must have taken down at least 50 spiderwebs on the way...

Thanks to the previous finder who put up a nice photo, it was not as hard as I expected it to be. The vegetation had already grown over most part of the cache, making it hard to retrieve. When I finally did get it out, I was amazed to see the first logbook from 2001! I left a couple of words before heading back to the river, this time however to the coordinates given by one of the previous finders. I would not recommend going there as the current and depth were to big of an obstacle for me to get over there. I eventually decided to just head back to my crossing point.

It was extremly refreshing just chilling in the water for a while. After two hours I arrived back at the camper. I must have touched something poisonous because my right leg is all swollen up, but hey, the adventure of getting there was worth it!

Thanks,
Erkrath_Germany

Found this one on the way to the mystery cache close by. Cache is in good condition and on a beautiful day like today it was also a nice location!

Thanks,

Came across this beatuy of nature today on our way from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Unfortunately it wasn't completely windstill so there were a few ripples on the surface... Still amazing on a sunny day like today!

Found while walking through the park today. Interesting to see such a large Boulder just randomly sitting in park like this. I think it really shows how many geological artifacts can be seen all over the place...

Found rather quickly... Had to pay attention though, two frisbee muggles were close Smile

Amazing how nature forms all these different shapes and bizarre rocks!

Came here today to see the glacier. We walked up as far as we were allowed to.
My friend was here as a child in 1997 and has pictures of the glacier being significantly bigger than it is today. I wonder if my kids will be able to see it one day...

Thanks,

This has to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to in my life. We came here by kayak and decided to go to fisherman island to relax a little. I knew that it was a cache on the little island, so I took my phone and a pen and walked through the water. When I arrived at the other side I dried my feet, put some shoes on and climbed up to the top. Found the cache within a couple of seconds. Seems to be in a pretty good condition.

As I am writing this, I'm still up here what an incredible place!

Thanks for hiding the container here,
Erkrath_Germany

Took the kayak for a nice 4 hour paddle through Abel Tasman. We first stopped at Fishermans Island. Afterwards we came here for a quick stop... Unfortunately I couldn't find this Cache.

I think it might be gone as I looked behind the sign several times!

In the evening I had some spare time left, so I came over here to find it at 9:45 pm in complete darkness. Was very glad that this was at the entrance of the walkway as I didn't feel like walking any further... scary Smile

Thanks,
Erkrath_Germany

Thanks for the quick find!

Of course it's more than that. The way up was challenging finding the box was even harder than I thought it would be.
The climb to the summit was an incredible experience that was well worth it, although I was exhausted when we came to the field of pebbles that had you sliding down a step after taking two...

Thank you so much for placing this container here, giving a favorite point for me is a must!
