Logs for GeoRRide4

Finally a success. Armed with a clue from another cacher. I came by on a bike ride with friends. Thank you, glad to find it on this occasion. Glorious sunny day.

I came by with a friend on his first geocaching adventure. We looked in the bushes for ages until I found something between a rock and a hard place. Not there. I searched for another 10 minutes and then went back to my original spot. There it is, hiding! This cache was worth the find. The logbook was wonderfully dry and there was a cute Edward Elephant there. Thanks!
I came here after finding Edward Elephant. My friend found this, his first cache. This was a much easier find. Thanks for the cache!

Slipscache and I came down Old Eltham Road to find this one. I had not really noticed this playground before but appreciate that it has been the playground of many childhoods, that's one of the great things about playgrounds. There was a grown up with a child and dog but they didn't seem at all concerned about the search. The cache was soon found and returned. Thank you
Nice disguise! It certainly blends in with the colour of the bridge in the shadows. Watch out for glass.
This is a magnificent facility. I was a bit nervous coming up the path because it might be a bit sus but I know it is placed here with permission. It was nice to finally see the new facility close up. The firies do a great job for the community. Thanks for the local history as well!
First time I have found a cache in such a spot as this. Yes, swiftness was important for this one. Cache was soon signed and returned. This is an interesting spot as it is much closer to the train station than I realised. Thank you

Sorry I could not attend this morning due to a prior commitment. Hope it is a fun time for all

Yes blends in here. I could smell the deliciousness of a barbeque nearby. The sun was out and the scene was quite nice. You really have to know what you are looking for to find this one...
I liked this cache. Nice quiet surrounding, off the beaten path. A nice little find. Knot bad I reckon!
I found the remains of the pony grounds here. Bike tyres had lots of trouble with traction in the soft terrain. I found a strange keyring right near the cache but then I discovered the cache's hiding place. I stood and wondered what was once here and how the area has changed. The soft sand seems to be the only remnant of it's former use here.

Afternoon walk today. A friendly magpie was guarding the cache, keeping bugs away. Cache was in plain site. I found only one trackable, Eastward Bound, but I left for the next cacher. Don't know where the other trackable is. I covered the cache with bark to hide it a bit more.

I have been to this little park before. I came here today and went for a little walk about. Met a dog owner with a white pooch having a great time walking out in the sun! Thanks for bringing me here, looking forward to finding the bonus!
I came by with a few others. I thought I would not find this, but I did! Thanks for the effort in hiding this cache for us to find! I went for a big walk and saw an echidna crossing the bridge on the footpath!

This was indeed a small bridge! I came here solo on a warm Friday evening after finding the St Katherine's cache. I crossed the two ovals which are in excellent condition, I wish I had a game of cricket fixtured here last season. I have been here many times before but never noticed this little bridge here. It is now slightly more famous with a cache hiding like a cache. I saw some of the logs went back to 2012 - it's been here for years now... Thanks for bringing me here.

This was a cute little cache with a funny name for a lizard. I came out on a warm golden evening in search of a quick find. It did not let me down. Dave the appeared with the cache and I returned him so the birds won't find him. Thanks for bringing me to this little park.
I came by down Yan Yean Rd and knew this one was around. The cricket ground looked in good condition and behind it is a CFA training ground. Dirt track along here. Sun was setting nicely over the horizon and pylons were in view. Cache was hiding like a cache in cache hiding spot where a tree once stood. Thanks for bringing me here!

I came to Whittlesea to watch some sport this afternoon. I was on my way to Church St to grab a burger to eat. I saw this was on the way so came for a look. I noticed one of the serviceman listed had a reserve in Whittlesea named after him. I also noticed a relative who was listed and still alive so I will inform them!
As to the cache, it was an easy find, but had the cache not been there, I may not have had thought to come here and visit this memorial.
Sadly, there are many listed here who never returned home from conflict.

I went out to this cache knowing the area fairly well. The site was bland. The neighbours dog was yapping constantly. There is a lot of rubbish scattered everywhere. I did search but could not find it. A new site for this cache would be better as it a bit of a public safety issue in this spot.

This was such an interesting place! Well worth a look around this site to appreciate the heritage of it. Thanks for the cache

I came out on a bright sunny Friday afternoon. I stopped at the KG general store because I forgot a pen so I bought one. I then headed to GZ to find the cache. The coordinates indicated it was a slightly different place to the actual location. However, it was a quick find in a beautiful place I come to from time to time. This is a very high up spot at ground level. There are some great lookout points. For those who like climbing stairs, the lookout tower is a great view as well.
A warm afternoon today. I have been here before on a Sunday for a walkabout before I knew about geocache. It's a nice place thanks for bringing me here! Watch out for snakes here folks as it is bushland but does have defined trails.
I like this series it is really interesting finding out about al these planets and how they have been placed and distances between each other in the series. I started off looking for this cache in the wrong spot. I then realised this and picked up a stick to assist in my search which proved very important. I soon found it. There is also a walking trail nearby as well. Thanks for the cache!

I came by here on a post work bike ride. I waited for a person to leave the area before I made the quick discovery. Nice cache!
I came here on a bike ride home from work. A nice quick easy find. Thanks for the cache!

I had a few DNFs and realised I was searching too hard. I got the biscuits today.
I got off the Hurstbridge train and saw this nearby and thought I'd go have a look. This is a reserve on the other side of Eltham Central Park from the river. Nice shady pine trees along here. I found the cache after a little searching. Thanks for the cache!
I came here via the park and stood in memory of the cricket pitch that used to be here. It is crazy to think that cricket was played here it is so small this ground. Anyway, slipscache and I took the hardest way to find the cache. After searching finally found it and grass wasn't long. Thanks for the reason for the visit!
I tried to have a look along the railings figuring it would be somewhere along there but I could not find it. Maybe another time.

Nice easy find in the fading light with slipscache. On the walk back nearly stumbled over what we thought was a snake but it was a blue tongue lizard which had been attacked and was long gone.
I wanted to find this cache but the grass was way too long and the chance of snakes was too high. Ground Zero was so close but so far. Maybe another time!
28-Jan-18
I came out today with slipscache on a hot evening. The coordinates seemed to be right but no biscuits today. On a DNF streak unfortunately. I'm sure the cache is there somewhere.
27-Jan-18
I came back for a second look. No biscuits for me today. This cache proves too good for me. I looked everywhere except where the cache is.
15-Jan-18
I came here in between outbound train services. There were a few consecutive services that fell short of my destination so I took the opportunity. I see the mural often but not this close. Having only minutes to spare I went in search of the cache, I quickly located GZ and found the cache. The log was a bit disorderly though. Thanks for the cache!

I came here on a Sunday night with slipscache. We decided to find this one in fading light so the torch was out. I tried to look around the bridge but did not come up with much. However, slipscache was looking around and after a quick check on the satellite view, it helped us search more accurately and slipscache found it. Thanks for the cache, thanks for your research on local bridges!
I came here on a Sunday night with slipscache. We set out viewing the signs and it was a really cleverly done cache taking us through a little known reserve. Initially some of the paths looked a little less travelled but soon enough some more established paths came into view. It was fun looking for this, thanks!
I came here with slipscache on a Sunday evening. We were about to set off to get a nearby multicache but saw this sidetracked one. We headed via the miniature railway pedestrian crossing with miniature level crossing, what a gem the place is. I came up to GZ and went looking for the cache. It was nicely hidden but it did not take too long to find. Thanks for the cache!
I came with slipscache at 9:20pm on Sunday night. We had just come from finding a multicache nearby and decided to pick this one up as last one before heading home. On the way the local wildlife was buzzing with activity, with three separate sightings of possums, two adult brushtails and a very tiny brushtail possum. Before that we also saw two tawny frogmouth which was a great sight. Also, many kookaburras in this area. The cache was a quick find and hidden like a true cache. Thanks for the cache!
I came here on a Sunday evening with slipscache. This is only my second multicache. I thought I wouldn't find it. It was fun observing the miniature platforms and turntable. Quickly worked out the coordinates and set off to find it. Thanks for the cache!
12-Jan-18
I went for a morning run and came by. Carpark nearby so stealth required. I got in and out as quick as I could and was a fun find. Thanks for the cache!
11-Jan-18
Wow not what I was expecting! I came here around 8:15am. I went for a walk around and there was not a single person in this park. The dew was still on the grass. A nice smelling rose nearby as well. All of a sudden I realised where the cache was. Thanks for the thought and effort you put into this cache!
I'm staying down in Warrnambool for a brief visit and thought early in the morning I would find a couple of caches. I went for a walk up to this old factory wondering what it was. I didn't find the cache initially but then started to think like a cache. I had it soon after. Thanks for the find!
10-Jan-18
I found it. There is a fantastic flying fox nearby, thanks for bringing us here. I went with another geocacher in plain sight found it.
07-Jan-18
I came here with a friend and qtr to midnight. There was a nearby wedding and many cars coming past so we had to read the plaque there about ten times to lower suspicion. My friend thought he knew where it was and sure enough there it was. However, I think the terrain rating should be lifted based on where we found the geocache.

This is my first multi. I came here with slipscache at night time. Entered the cemetery at night and we were far off. We started to think like a cache and soon had it. There was also a cool trackable but I haven't really looked into how to use them so I left for the next cacher. Thanks for my first multi!
On a sad note, I know a number of friends who are buried here

I came out with slipscache as this was on our list for some time to try and find. We parked near the Woodridge bus stop at night time well after the last bus departed and with high hopes embarked on our journey. We arrived at the co ords and quickly found the first and subsequent possum eyes. It was enjoyable and creative, characteristic of the area. We found the Fire tacks and also found GZ. A nice spider web at GZ. Also after we went for a walkabout but no copper butterfly sighted. No one on the track tonight except for a noisy car that went by on a near road. Thanks for the cache!
