Logs for GeoRascals

29-Feb-16
A quick find thanks to a geo pal whom I met at the Leap Day event at the Sydney Customs House
Log is very full. TFTC!

Found on a walk along Botany Bay this afternoon. The groynes were an interesting study--not something we had thought about before. We had a little trouble figuring out the deflecting, attracting and repelling types--bit of a kick in the groin sorting that. (Hehe) Thanks for the work you put in. And hello from the USA!

We came, we signed, we leaped. Met many friendly Aussie cachers and had a good time.

Fun walk after a day at the zoo. Liked the hide. Nice spot! Took naught, left a few bits of swag. Greetings from. The USA!

James Michener, 'Hawaii', in honor of our route getting down under. TFTVC! Giving it a fave.

Looked high and low but no luck at the Station. Thx for hiding.

What a beautiful, hand-decorated cache. Def worth a fav. Picked up a tb, and left one for someone else to pick up. It came from Seattle, WA USA and is not to be kept. Log it and move it on if you take it, please.
TY for this fine cache. Left a couple bits of swag.

Long, long search but no luck. Hi from the USA, tho, and thanks for hiding!

Spent at least 20 minutes before reading the logs, where something encouraged us to look elsewhere and ya-hoo! We Americans found our 3rd cache in Burnie today! TFTC!

Our first find in Tasmania. Wheee! Can't wait to see the new souvenir! Hi from the USA and thanks for hiding it!

23-Feb-16
Yay! A delightful English couple (the fellow was born on leap day) was seated at GZ, so we had to ask to search around their area. They were rather intrigued. Gave them a geocaching card. May have recruited some new players! Left a couple pieces of stash and took a pathtag. Thanks for hiding! And greetings from the USA!

Found while on shore leave from our cruise ship. It is art of a sort. And it provided shade on this hot day! Greetings from the USA and TFTC!

18-Feb-16
Caching in the rain again, making lemonade out of a temporary lemon. TFTC from Seattle WA!

The gadget gave us a bit of confusion, but at the third spot we searched, we found it quickly. Nobody seemed to care why we sat there, and soon the log was inked and rehidden. TFTC and greetings from WA State, USA!

This cache -- and the Giant's house -- brought us up here. Good exercise! Thx for the fun.
Hello from Lynnwood WA.
: )

16-Feb-16
Found while on our movie tour (LOTR). Many fellow tour folks may soon be cachers.
Thx from Seattle.
: )

Quite a little climb on a warm day! Wonderful size and camo. Left swag and a TB. Please log it and move it to another cache if you take it! TFTC! Greetings from the USA! Fav!

Tough to zero in on, but finally found the little sucker. Thx for the fun and hi from WA.
: )

Good dog, Paddy! Thanks for the cache. Left a TB we picked up in the USA. Please take it only if you plan to log it and move it along to another cache. Thanks. A fav for the sweet story and a cool cache!

15-Feb-16
Ms GR's geosenses (and the hint) led us to the cache. Thx for the fun. Wash your hands after this one -- poisonous stuff is about!

Oops! Forgot to mention that we dropped off a TB from the block party in Seattle. Please take it only if you will log it and move it to another cache. It is not swag. Thanks much! We're cachers from the USA.

Nice hide! Beautiful place.

Very fun, fascinating, and educational! We feel fairly knowledgeable about the great quake of '31 now. A big fave for this Earth cache!
Greetings from the States.

This took a while, then Mr. GR used a different sense and found something small and loose. Ms. GR was physically unable to find this one.

A quick grab on the way to Rotorua. Thx for the hint, and the cache! Greetings from Seattle.
: )

Found just before getting back on the bus for our Rotorua tour. Many thanks!

Not where we expected. In other words, a good hide. TFTC from the States.

2nd time was the charm. Ms GR has the right technique. Gets a fave. And Mr GR was a physics major...
TFTF!

Our first hunch was right.
Avoiding mugs was a fright!
Fun cache. Thx from the States.

Quite muggly, and trying to be circumspect, we felt our ability to look thoroughly was constrained. GPS is unsettled under the trees, as someone else mentioned. After about 15 minutes, feeling conspicuous, we sadly moved on. Greetings from the USA!

Happiness! We found it without having to walk the plank! Nice hide. Left swag. Greetings from the USA!

Found container, CO's supplied tott and an extra potentially helpful tott of our own and spent about 10 minutes trying to extract the cache. Neither tott was nearly strong enough. Best we could do was turn it a bit. Sad greetings from the USA!

So sneaky! Had to use the logs to figure it out, then it was easy to grab between muggles. The ziplock bag was torn, so we replaced it. Even without its lid, tho, the cache was in good shape. TY for hiding it! Greetings from the USA!

A unique Earth cache for a pair of Yankees from WA. We made our estimates using only ourselves as a measuring device. Fun and educational! TFTEC!

Yuck. Spent about 20 minutes looking around and probing but no luck today. The gear mentioned in the previous log is still there. We did not disturb it.
Thx for the fun.

A very fun Earth cache that was also a multi. Not sure the email to the CO went, but we cc'd ourselves so will resend if we don't see anything in our inbox. : /
Highly recommend both the museum and this cache. Both get a fave!

10-Feb-16
Our first New Zealand cache! The old cemetery was so fascinating we didn't notice we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes! It was before 5:00 pm, but the skeeters were wide awake and hungry in the darkened tree cover. This was the first log I've signed while dancing! TFTC!

Yes! Our first DNF in NZ.
We looked and probed and scanned the ground, but no luck was had nor cache was found.
We blame the gardener.

20-Jan-16
Hope this will be back up by the time our cruise ship stops nearby! The pots look scary! Coming from the USA on Feb. 17th. Fingers crossed!

12-Jan-16
We will make an effort to join Captain Cook and the gang. Travelling from afar.

08-Jan-16
Dang -- we're going to be a few days late for this event. Hope you get a good turnout. Sounds fun.

Somehow, the key to this cache ended up in Lynnwood, WA USA (N. of Seattle) recently. No idea how it got here, but I am putting instructions on it to move back toward Auckland whenever possible. Maybe you can repurpose it if it ever arrives!
