Logs for I can never remember

I am on the road with CanisMinor, spierson82, and mjholley and we are taking the scenic route from Chicago to Geobash in Wauseon, OH via Rochester, NY. This was my first foray into co-piloting under CanisMinor and I think I did pretty well since he never once threatened to eject me from my seat for the 24+ hours we were in the car. State Game Lands is one of the anchor points of this trip, and the entire reason I made sure to get in on this adventure. This cache fills my very last Jasmer square and I won't soon forget how awesome it felt to put my signature on the log. We took a lot of pictures at the cache site and had a ton of fun goofing around on the way back to the car. I am beyond grateful to the guys for allowing me to tag along on this adventure, you rock! A hands down favorite! TFTC!

It's hard to believe that we are actually here! A handful of weeks back mjholley and I kicked around a couple of bucket list caching items, not expecting anything to take hold. Fast forward a month and here we are - standing on an island out on Lake Lanier! It took nearly 1000 miles of driving, a few crash courses in kayaking, and a near-death experience near Clarksville, TN to get here but WE MADE IT! It's unreal the lengths us crazy cachers will go to in order to meet a goal and only our fellow cachers will ever fully understand.
It's incredible that MJH and I pulled this whole thing together and I couldn't have asked for a better partner to experience this trip with. Even though it's not *my* birthday weekend, I feel thankful for the multitude of gifts that I received throughout this trip. Absolutely memorable in every way and a no-brainer favorite. TFTC!

Welp! Here we are.....the world's oldest active cache! In the matter of two hours I managed to double-stuff this Jasmer square so that's pretty neat. Blues Crew and I swapped TBs while we were here. A favorite to add to the collection. TFTC!

The ICNR family is staying in Hillsboro Beach for Thanksgiving week and I made sure to head down to Miami for an event this morning. I left early so I could score a couple other caches in the area, turns out this was the only one I had time for before the start of the event. I was very confused at first because my compass had me heading to an empty triangle of land. Hmm.....a quick glance at some of the pictures on the cache page and duh! There is what I was looking for! This is a super awesome place and I walked around as much of it as I could before an employee stopped me to inform me it's not open to the public until 10am. No worries, I was able to take a bunch of pictures and gather all of the information I need to log the find. This is one of the coolest places geocaching has taken me to and I love how it just blends in perfectly with the gorgeous houses in the neighborhood. I love virtual caches and this oldie is a super-bonus for me because this spot just so happens to be on the National Register of Historic Places which helps me along on a 5/5 challenge cache back home that I've been slowly chipping away at for years! An email with the necessary information has been sent. An easy favorite point from me! TFTVC
The ICNR family is spending another Thanksgiving week in Hillsboro Beach and I took some time this morning to drive down to Miami for an event and a few virtual caches. This was my last stop and despite the CO's warnings about the area not being so good, I was NOT prepared for what I encountered within the cemetery this morning! I hightailed it over to Sleeping Beauty's resting place and snapped pictures of what I needed, stopped for a quick selfie with the cemetery's sign as further proof of my visit today, and got the heck outta Dodge. This is the third or fourth unusual resting place I've discovered while caching and yes, I have never seen one quite like this before. I was chatting with dinotraks (my muggle with a caching account husband) about whether or not this would actually work as intended and we decided it is entirely possible. Pretty neat idea even if it doesn't. An email with the necessary information has been sent. This cache easily deserves a favorite point. TFTVC
