Logs for It Iz What It Iz

This was an epic day, for me and TxVic! We had been working hard to keep our numbers close so that we could hit our milestone of 2000 finds together! We packed up LiLou. Magnet Man was our driver. It was TxVic’s birthday so she sat shotgun and played with her new car GPS. We set out on a mission to find the second oldest cache in Texas! Texas is a big state and this historical caching event was legend- wait for it – dary!
MM navigated the truck along some gorgeous back roads. The trees hung over the road, and at parts the roads were very bumpy. Lilou held her own! We used TxVic’s new GPS to navigate us to the trail head. There we had to leave Lilou behind to begin our short hike up a nice big hill.
The path was easy, tall grass, blue skies, a light breeze, it was a wonderful day. We climbed the large hill to find an amazing view where you could see forever. You could even see the dirt road we came in on. It was amazing. We got distracted taking some photos but found the cache easily. Then we took more photos.
We signed the log on the last page!
TxVic and I were being so silly and doing silly dances and jumping up and down. We had so much fun! Then it was time to go. We enjoyed the view and the fresh air a bit longer, and then decided to head back to a town. For several reasons… One- MM ripped his pants while hiking somehow and those needed to be replaced, two- we were hungry, and three- we needed to come up with a plan for the afternoon.
Thanks for the epic adventure and keeping this cache alive!

Here I met a photographer, another hobby of mine. Wow so many people out in the day! Nice late morning, guess I should head to the office... TFTC
So just before leaving the last cache another cacher spotted my bug on my car! We chatted a bit and I headed to the next cache. It is in an older neighborhood with really nice big houses. This gets a fav for camo and location. TFTC

Many of these trees have old nails, chain link, and wire; in, on, and around them. These lands must have history. TFTC adventure!
Ok so maybe this was old farm land. There is fence wire stuck in the growth of the tree. There are other cars parked along some of the roads but I know they're not caching. So what are they doing around here? TFTC adventure
So this area is super weird... Did it used to be a neighborhood? Lots of random sightings here;!a small school chair and an open man hole cover I could see the water rushing below. TFTC adventure.
Another quick grab in this "old neighborhood" area/ place. There are about 4 houses spread out in here. Fire hydrants strategically placed. Gorgeous cool afternoon. TFTC

Ok so like my third visit... And like usual I made it harder than it was!! Rummaging around, getting scratched up, it's hot outside... Just as I was about to leave I looked in a spot I thought "it wouldn't be there" but it was. Hooray!!! Finally made the grab. Tftc
