Logs for Just_Ice_au

05-Oct-14
Took a good look around, and even with the hints we couldn't find this one.

DNF! Sad

Stopped by on our way past to make a few swaps.

Dropped off GeoDiesel Geocoin.

Nice cache, though it is looking a little empty (only thing in there aside from the log was a pen and a yoyo). Not sure the container is fully waterproof, as the log was a little damp. Not too bad though.

Quick find. SL TFTC!

30-Sep-13
Took us a minute to find the best way in, but the co-ords led us right to the spot.

TFTC!

Quick Find. Great little spot by the water - we spent some time taking in the view before even bothering to look for the cache.

Swapped some beads for a bouncy ball. TFTC!

17-Sep-11
Snagged it on our way though. Love the location - the cache is aptly named.

TNLN. TFTC!

Parked a little far away, so we had to walk along the road a bit - not recommended.

Found it in the end though.

Stopped by on our way through. Nice to run into some other cachers.

Quick roadside cache. TNLN. TFTC.

Quick roadside cache.

Didn't have what we needed to solve the puzzle with us, so we checked every park in a 250m radius until found a location that matched clues we got from previous logs.

After searching several likely spots, we eventually found GZ, and the cache.

Had a good looks around, and found a few likely places at GZ, but no cache. Decided to move on after seeing the other recent DNFs.

Found as it was getting darker - nice view of the creek from GZ, and a great walk with the bell birds to get there!

A great cache - well hidden, and fantastic cache container.

Even with hints, logs and etc, took us at least a good 15 minutes of searching to find this one, despite being practically on top of it the whole time.

Glad we did this one on the weekend - place was muggle free.

Last cache of the day, and a great way to stop.

TFTC!

Parked on Larapinta Drive and had a short walk through bushland to reach this cache.

Old Hospital ruins are very interesting, and we took a few minutes to explore on our way to nearby Psycho cache.

There were some dirt bikers using the area too, but the place is big enough that it was easy enough to avoid them.

Cache has a crack in the lid, and water has seeped even into the double-bagged logbook, which is getting mouldy.

TNLN, TFTC!

This one took us a little time searching the GZ - until we noticed that the Cache had recently been replaced, and the description and hint we were working from was older.

After that, it was a straightforward find.

Grabbed this one and Mixed Nuts at the same time.

GPS got us to GZ, and quickly had the cache in hand. Checked the hint after, though, and couldn't figure out what it meant.

Saw Finn Dragon TB in the cache, but decided to let sleeping dragons lie.

Old hospital is a great location for this cache.

Took a while poking around GZ before we resorted to reading logs and discovered all the recent DNFs.

This, plus darkness rapidly approaching, persuaded us to move on.

Quick stop on our way to Cooranbong.

High dog presence in area prompted me to leave Happy Birthday Dave Travel Bug. Took GeoDiesel GeoCoin instead.

Great spot and interesting bridge. TFTC!

Got to this one at midday on a saturday in soccer season - Muggle city!

However, managed to infiltrate the location and log our visit without attracting any attention.

Nice cache container, great hiding spot.

SL, TFTC!

Cache name was a helpful hint when we got to GZ.

Cache was actually visible from the road - though only if you were looking right at it. Tried to cover it a bit more without moving it when we put it back.

TNLN.

Nice quick roadside cache.

Loved the cache container.

Were able to park just meters from GZ, and labels on cache made it easy to spot.

Nice quick cache.

21-May-11
After looking pretty extensively in one spot, decided that the GPS wasn't lying to us and found a way to move closer to GZ.

After that, the hint made this one a quick grab.

03-Jan-11
Took a couple of wrong turns before finding the right street, and then had to turn around at the bottom of the hill and grab it on the way back up.

TNLN TFTC

GPS had it in for us and decided to steer me straight past cache and into a thornbush.

Once I extricated myself from the bush, we regrouped on the path and had the CIH pretty quickly.

After that, it was a quick sign of the log, and a sprint back to the car to avoid the mozzies.

TNLN TFTC!

Felt pretty exposed while snagging this one (pretty wide-open space bordering lots of backyards), but was a pretty quick find once the GPS coords settled down.

TNLN TFTC

Didn't realise the cache was in the parking lot at first, and spent a little time wandering about until we realised our mistake.

A quick relocation later, and we had the Cache In Hand.

04-Dec-10
Quick find - hardly needed to look around before it was spotted.

TFTC!

Log was full, though. Needs a new one.

Nice, quick find.

Nice, quick find.

Took spiky little green ball. Left green bouncy soccer ball.

TFTC!

Pretty quick find.

Signed Log in the car.

TFTC!

Actually looked in the right place, but someone had pushed the cache waay towards the back.

Finally found it by actually eyeballing the cache container, thanks to a handy caching torch.

Log was a little damp.

Magnet was still good enough to hold the cache container to the gun when I replaced it, even without the glue.

SL TFTC!

Really clever cache container!

Wasn't in the obvious place, so it took a bit of searching.

SL TFTC!

Pretty quick find, but oh! The Mozzies!

XNSL, TFTC!

Cache was practically underwater, and not at all pleasant.

2nd cache of the day hidden in a piece of WWII artillery.

This one was a much quicker find, though.

SL TFTC!

Great view of the water from this spot.

SL, TFTC!

Cache was a little exposed, but as it was getting dark, still took us a bit of searching (and dodging spiders) before it was located.

TNLN SL

Replaced container a little further under cover.

TFTC!

Mozzies, mozzies everywhere!

TNLN TFTC!

Actually, this was first of 14 for the day.

Took Happy Birthday Dave TB, left Big Banana Souvenir coin.

Learned that thorns are sharp!

TFTC!

Quick find after the sun had set, while driving past.

20-Nov-10
After locating the right path to the beach, this one was pretty straightforward.

Nice, quick find in a great spot.

Took little plastic Horse, left dice. SL

This is an absolutely fantastic place for a cache.

Spent a little time over the rocks before reading logs and checking the hint, after that it was fairly straightforward to make the find.

TNLNSL

Thanks for the brilliant cache!

Found the Cash Man's mark pretty easily, and a place that looked like it might be good for a cache.

Several of the boulders around the marked rock had been tossed around a bit - pretty recently, too, judging by the marks on the ground.

No sign of the cache, though.

Anyhow, pushed the rocks back into position as best I could, decided to call it a day.

Feels like I looked under every rock on that beach, only to get beaten to the find anyway.

Still, it was fun. And a nice place to do it in.

TFTC!

Nice, quick find.
