Logs for Kevncaron

07-Oct-24
A nice little walk with Epigal when taking our time on the way home from a wedding in the north. Needed to check the logs to find out we should turn around, as cachers we should've known to do that anyway. Soon after about face, we had the cache in hand. Log nearly full and that boar just wouldn't leave us alone.

04-Jan-24
Easy find, just had no pen to log.. will return one day to so. TFTC

10-Nov-23
Nice little walk with a quick find. TFTC.

07-Nov-21
Found with Epigal on our ani weekends away. Overshot for a start. Had to backtrack.. I like the hide for sure TFTC..

Initially started walking to the cemetery as receptions a bit sketchy out here. TFTC.. KnC..

Great hide, took Epaigal a couple of runs through GZ to find, specially after standing on ants nest for a couple of seconds too long... TFTC.

05-Nov-21
Haha. Quick find. Pulled up right at gz read the 1st paragraph, look up. Bang. TFTC.

26-Apr-21
Found this, my first, Earth Cache while on the way though to do a little fossicking. Brought a m8 that'd been to these parts for nie on 20 years and had never even heard of Policeman's Knob. After the initial drive up as far as we could stand the rock'n'Rolling we headed up to the peak. The jostling was worth it as the natives guarding the mound showed us the way up. Stumpy geomutt decided her miniature legs could rival that of the natives and promptly disappeared around, once shes was recovered surprisingly in one piece, we summited & enjoyed the view.

22-Dec-20
A quick find on a a nice wander with geo daughter after happy hour. Cache has been changed to a not bison, info for the next searcher. Tried to dry as much as I could but inside the clipseal looked wet too so wasn't keen to try to extract the log. Me thinks with this type of container should be marked top so as not to gather the welcome rain. TFTC.

21-Dec-20
Quick find. Nice spot. TFTC.

08-Nov-20
Out for a trip with geo boss. Spotted the sneaky hide (seen a few like this b4) before better half but waited until she gave up and then dropped some hints.. Ledger was soon in hand but needs replacing. TFTC.

04-May-20
Nice hide.lol. TFTC. no log to log. Thanks Herbz

03-Sep-17
Found this one while strolling from the car boot sale to the markets. Quick easy find as the cache was completely uncovered. Tried my best with what was at hand to re-hide before departing. TFTC.

02-Sep-17
On a short stroll from a friends place. A little tricky to find but after about 5 mins we had the cache in hand. Thanks to whoever donated the pencil as we're always impromptu caching. TFTC.

Found the likely spot. But no cache.

04-Jul-16
A quick find on a day road trip round the tourist traps while on a weeks holiday in FNQ. TFTC.

03-Jul-16
After the first assault on this one the morning before Geogirl and i returned and tried a lower reckoning (after reading the clue duh). TFTC.

13-Nov-15
After spending our anniversary breakaway from the world at a local cottage. Thought we'd do a quick trip up to the road head before heading home. & thought we would have an impromptu cache. Took the GSPr a long time to get a fix in here nearly half of the walk in. Wow what a spot. cache in hand the heavens opened up. Knew there was no likeliness of signing a sodden log, quickly stashed it back. in its hidey & had to shelter for the next 20 mins in the sawmill. Were coming back here with geomidgets to go for Herbz falls. Will sign log then.

Log is soaking wet!!

19-Oct-15
As the name says. LOL. TFTC

After a closeby DNF was hoping for a better result on this one and viola cache in hand. TFTC

02-Aug-15
Had been looking at this puzzle for some time and things weren't clicking DUH. Then CLUNK realized how blind i was & solved it. Then the co-ords sat in the GPS for a few weeks before the opportune moment.

Got as close to GZ the first pass & thought id do a lap to see if there was a shorter side. Ended up diving in on the first close call angle. GPS beeped and abandoned the two wheel contraption. Found the perfect spot in no time.

WT this seems a bit basic for a Rad cache. Someone must've lost the other half..... scrounge around on the ground looking for the other half..... nothing... the parchment was damp so upended the devil to try to stop any ingress. With plans to return with another container.

Return to base and read previous log... bugger should've done that first! Will return later this week to right this small problem. TFTC

Went back tonight Mon 3/8 with two wheeled crew in tow & replaced things where they looked like they should've been.. Thanks again Mr Rad.

A quick find with Epi whilst up the mountain showing our favorite Israeli rallies around the neighborhood & hope we might convert some more loved ones to the good book of caching Smile. Thanks for the cache AL. Log a little damp on this low cloud weekend but had no replacements with us. TNLNSL. LWF.

07-Dec-14
Thanks Herbz, another quick find whilst doing the Twin falls circuit with family.

After all the rain we'd had I was sure there would be much more water coming over the falls. But Blue-claws are in abundance atm. So much so one had been crushed under foot near the base of the falls. TFTC.

After all the recent downpours on the coast I thought today would be a good day to go & view some waterfalls & get out of the mugginess. With Geo-midgets in tow Epigal & I headed around to the start of the Twin falls circuit.

Nearing ground zero early in the walk could easily see the tracks of the Cacher Monster native to this area. Read the clue as demanded by the crew the likely spot was found but with all the cobwebs no one was keen to delve in. After taking up a different position the cache was spotted and in hand. Log signed, swaps were made and an escape was made with no muggles, that hunt cachers in this area, being spotted.

TFTC Herbz another great cache in another great spot.

30-Nov-14
Solved this puzzle a while ago and new GeoWren, the climber of the family, would keen for the challenge. We headed of for the cycle with Geoboy, Spaz & Geomidgetmutt in tow.arrived at the logical spot & looked up, boy o boy this i gunna be fun. Wandered around with necks craned for a couple of minutes but couldn't spot anything so branched out for the 1st climb... Smile spent 10mins on high & couldn't see anything. Came down & check some info for some inspiration. Headed up once more just the two of us as the other two had gone off on another adventure. Headed to the likley spot & low & behold I spotted it & pointed GeoWren in the general direction after playing hot & cold for 5 more minutes she spotted it. Getting it was the next challenge, with a bit of teamwork & some reassurance of getting into a safe spot to reach out with both hands Wrenz had the log in hand. A quick sign & replace, then their came the task of returning to the ground safely. A little bit of hyperventilation just to make a scene & we were safe on the ground again. PHEW!! TFTC this one gets a favorite from me just for the sheer challenge even after sighting the cache. Smile Also saw some dolphins in the river playing in boat wakes which was a bit of a buzz

Quik find on the way back from another nearby cache on our two wheeled steeds. TFTC. TNLNSL. Smile

22-Nov-14
Found on a late night mission whilst camping in a nearby CG. Didn't even have GPSr but web access was enough to get it narrowed down to a likely GZ. TFTC. TNLNSL.

17-Nov-14
After days work returned hm with printed puzzle to make things easier. Quickly ran through a solution which didn't work on the check sum. Looked again and tried another tack. Ran the check sum & viola we're on the right path. Quickly enlisted geoWren and mounted our trusty round legged steads for the 1.6km cycle from hm. Bush bashing to GZ realized I'd transposed a couple of digits when entering into GPSr. Rectified problem & quickly had the cache in hand, quick cycle hm in time for tea. TFTC Rad. **Cache isn't watertight & log is damp**.

12-Nov-14
Wow. My chache eyes are working well today. Another quick find Found on way back from days work at feedlot. TFTC. TNLNSL.

A quick find took, me about two seconds to put my hand on it as I have previously spent 'hours' finding my first one of these. TFTC. TNLNSL. Found on way back from days work at feedlot.

Stopped & picked this one up as I exited the gate of the feedlot after spending the day fixing machinery.
TFTC. Left lazer cut serial tag.

26-Apr-14
Picked up this one on the homeward stretch of our long Easter/Anzac weekend mining trip with the Duffy Clan. A quick find and a little bit of history before getting back........ bugger there goes that wide load we passed down the hill.... on the track.. TFTC. TNLNSL Smile

27-Jan-14
TFTC A quick find.

TFTC a quick inconspicuous find whilst listening to a couple of muggles of the hippy persuasion talk about the larger side of the cosmos Smile

19-Jan-14
Gotta love a Herbz cache. On the MTB section of our MTB track adventure today with Epigal & GM's. Very hot day nice to be in the bush. We rode the nearby family circuit which the midgets (7&8 yrs old) tackled with ease. Epigal was the only one to come a cropper on a stump on the side of the track. At the end of the ride we searched. Must remember when doing a Herbz cache NOTHING is as it seems.... did i mention it was a hot day. lol TFTC Herbz

Bwwaaahahaha Gotta love a Herbz cache. Out for a bit of an MTB track adventure today with Epigal & GM's. Got started a little too late ended up out there with noo shade on a scorching hot day. Had a quick look on the way across the dam but there were a few muggles around so carried on. Had a better more undisturbed look on the way back. I should have known & did already check the 'out of the ordinary' but after reading the previous logs I doubled my efforts & soon had the cache in hand. TFTC Herbz you get another of my fav's.

18-Jan-14
Picked up this one on a nice saturday morning ride-swim-ride down the spit with Epigal & the geomidgets, nice quick find. Lucky this one contained a pencil as we forgot most of these on the trail have no room for writing implements. TFTC. TNLNSL

04-Jan-14
Did a midnight run on this on during our our new year camp trip down south. With geoblowin & midgets in tow. Took a little bit to find, dunno why co it was where i first suspected it to be. Th bowls club was going off as we searched in the dark for the elusive micro to the sound of the pumping tunes. TFTC. SL.

15-Dec-13
Had read about this church I don't know where and were on the return leg of a camp trip out to Flannagans reserve. The gate was open & the church open for inspection. Wow what a building & not to have a sealed road leading up to it makes it stand out even more. After a quick look around the church we headed down to GZ after a quick circle the likley spot was easily visible. Cache in hand, log signed & replace we went on the rest of our long way round trip home TFTC.

Had spotted this ones likely location on previous camp tripe out to Flannegans so on the morning we packed up & headed off we pulled up & grabbed this one for a quickey. TFTC.

We'd thought we hadn't been to Binna Burra for a while and as the geomidgets are getting older we're able to push further in to the bush. Knew this one was going to gain a little more winging than normal on the return trip as we descended into the rainforest further but it was well worth it. Plenty of bigger lizards out basking in the sunny spots along the trail and even managed to spot the elusive blue claw in one of the pools along the trail. Top spot thanks Herbz. Deciphered the code and with a likely GZ set in the trusty gps we set out on the uphill treck. Sure enough not long after we started so did the complaints lol bless em. A couple of 1 km shoulder rides each and the track began its slow decent into BB proper and every one was happy, especially with the promise of an ice cream at the finish line. After a bit of a rest we started home with a quick stop to retrieve the cache. Thanks again Herbs. A quick sign of the log and off home for a coldy..

06-Nov-13
Collected this one on the way out after a beautiful weekends camping. I rose early to fish on Sunday morning didn't get any fish but had my first sighting of a young PLATYPUS in the wild yes they are here... Will try to get a photo next time. Wished I had picked up the cache on the way in as a little water has entered into the container. We are going back in a couple of weeks time so will give it a dry if someone doesn't beat me to it.

19-Oct-13
I quick find on a day trip to meet friends camping down at Brunswick heads. TNLNSL. TFTC. Smile

29-Sep-13
As Epigal & I were taking a couple of friends from the blue mountains ( Smile ) up the back way to Oreileys for a quick bite & bush walk before we had to be back at Coolangatta airport we only stopped off and picked up the one today. We definitely will have to come back this way to pick up the rest because it is a great spot. TFTC.

15-Jun-13
Please CO can you do a little spin dry on this one.

04-Jun-13
A quick find after a long drive from the GC out this way on business and in between appointments what better way to stretch the legs than to pick up a smiley. Great hide but couldn't sign the log as book was drenched just wish I had a little more time out here to do the necessary maintenance. TFTC.

18-May-13
Took a while to find this one after a short walk from the road but the hint was rite just a matter of which tree!! TNLNSL TFTC Smile

A quick find on a beautiful morning out caching before heading off to the teams Karate tournament. Not too many muggles around but the resident snake was close at hand got a bit of a shock when I maneuvered myself into a place to get a look before sticking my hand in there, don't believe me take a look at the photo. ***spoiler alert*** Warning all care should be taken when going for the prize at GZ.. Happy caching... TNLNSL TFTC

07-May-13
Found this one on a quick walk with the Kiwi Caching Twins before heading back to their place to run through a few of the useful features of being a premium member. Another great herbz hide was a bit hard to sign the log though with the drizzle just starting & the constant assault from the never ending mozzie army. TFTC TNLNSL Smile

26-Apr-13
Found this one whilst camping nearby for the AZNAC long weekend, Lest We Forget. Couldn't have asked for better weather.
