This week, Team Member 23 and his family were on holiday in Luxembourg. We booked a place to stay near Larochette, from where we explored this country. A very good experience with interesting villages, great nature and off course a nice amount of caches. With the good weather during our stay, we had a very good time.
To all COs, thanks a lot for placing and maintaining.
-
Day 8, our way home! First along some huge beacons close to Luxembourg city, and next via some stops to GC40 in Belgium. Then our way home, back to NL along a few drive-in caches.
Finally, we could score this one! Although the cache is not that exciting, the find is very nice. FAVO

For our honeymoon, we (Team Member 23 and his wife ) made a round trip through Iceland.
A 10-day travel plan was made, a rental car was booked, time to travel across this amazing (is)land! We had an awesome trip, visiting the steep cliffs at the sea side, the great ridge between the continental plates, rough lava landscapes, cool (but smelly) mudpools and geysers, impressive waterfalls and colossal cones and craters. What a country, a true recommendation for everyone who loves rough nature!
At day 1 of our trip, we collected our rental car at Keflavik airport and visited some caches at the west side of the Reykjanes peninsula. Along a couple of nice lighthouse-caches and a few traditionals, we traveled to the Midlina and the Gunnuhver Earthcaches. Next, we traveled to Reykjavik via the Blue lagoon and a two cool lava-cave caches.
At day 2, we had a walk through the city center of Reykjavik. We visited the Höfdi House, had a stroll along the boulevard, visited the (only) train and had a walk through the old harbour. Great city!
The impressive Hallgrimschuch was visited, and off course, we said ‘Hi’ to the Unknown Bureaucrat.
Late in the afternoon, we went to the west side of Reykjavik for a ‘hot pot’ and a walk along the golf course.
At day 3, we drove the Golden Circle tour, collecting a great number of cache types along all big sites in the area. Awesome route!! Also, the little lava cave house was visited and some less known waterfalls. On our way back we could score an *FTF* on the Faxafoss cache! After this, we made our way towards the east, via Selfoss and Hella.
At day 4, we traveled further eastwards, following the shore line. On our way, we visited multiple great waterfalls, an impressive glacier and the black beached near Vik. We almost blew away on the cliffs, awesome! On our way to Hof, we also visited at some cute little cones and nice basalt columns.
On our 5th day, we had an early start at the Svartifoss, wow! Next, Diamond Beach was visited, a true must-see for each visitor to Iceland. We continues to Höfn and Reydarfjördur, visiting some caches along our way.
The 6th day took us to Myvatn. What a nice route to drive (when it is not icy and snowy)! Dettifoss was a great stop, and so were the mud pools, the hot water caves and the craters near Myvatn. Just before heading to the hotel, a cave dive was made, and after dinner we went for a swim in the thermal baths.
At day 7, we visited the nice area of Dimmuborgir and the pseudocraters. Next, we went westwards along the Godafoss, the city of Akureyri and some cool canyon caches. That night we ended in Blönduos.
Day 8 started at the Kolugljufur. Next Hvammstangi was visited, followed by a travel soutw-west via some large craters, waterfalls and rock climbs. Via Borgarnes, we made our way to Olafsvik. On our way we visited a tiny warm pool and a few nice churches in the south of Snæfelsnes.
At day 9, we explored the entire Snæfelsnes peninsula (awesome, Iceland in a nut shell), after which we headed back to Reyjavik. On our return, we could have a walk at the Elborg Crater, some nice pics at the Akranes lighthouses, and a short walk near Mt Esja. Thank night, we returned to Reykjavik.
Day 10, our very last day, we had a final look at Reykjavik from the Perlan. Next, we went to the airport via Njardvik and Keflavik.
Thanks to all COs for making this awesome trip possible. Thanks to your guidance, we could find the most impressive spots in the wild Icelandic nature! Special hides and Earthcaches will get a little additional message.
TFTC and warm regards from the Netherlands

LiMa-W found this piece quite easily, but boy did it stick to its holder!! Using all my strength I released it, only to find out that it was impossible for me to open it; did it get stuck? glued? frozen? together??
So no signed logbook for me, but I think I deserve a smiley nonetheless!

We visited some friends that were working at Disney World at this moment.
When visiting them, we automatically could get the pic for this cache.
It looked very nice, especially when it was getting dark!
