I liked the final spot of this one, always nice with cool regular caches in suburban areas!

Having only a few days left in Australia was a good reason to meet up with locus cache and log a few more caches in the Adelaide suburbs. We started close to Elizabeth and logged around 20 caches that were either easy to log or worth a FP. I must admit that some creations really deserve a few more favourite points than they currently have. In the end we came back just before midnight, I was super tired and felt really content about these last logs. Thank's to all CO for putting so much effort in your hides!

Awesome hide! Came past this place a few days ago, but never expected there to be something. As getting here for the cache I was surprised and when finding it, stunned. Well deserved FP!

Really good hide! Got a little tip for finding this one, but if you inspect the area closely, there should be no doubt when finding the location!

Summary: Nice tour with a few insane caches and an incredible ending!

We met up at locus cache place to go for some Geocaching. Farely early we left for Sedan and further on to Swan Reach to log caches along a route that CPWanderer had planned. The weather was good and it didn't get too hot until eventually around 2 in the afternoon. After having passed by Swan Reach we went on north to Waikerie and stopped at the highwaybakery for a second breakfast (mainly because I got very hungry WinkWink)! The bacon and egg roll was delicious and kept me going for a while.

We went further east and logged the short series around Gogle Rd towards Moorook. Being there we also found a few in town and I got to swim to one of the Murrays mighty islands, which took me 20 min, definetely faster than using the boat (which means it is NOT easier and faster to log by boat, assumed by the CO).

Finally we had done our planned tour and it was time to find some odd geocaches. First off the oldest active cache in SA, after that we logged an awesome FTF by abseiling down a cliff instead of taking the boat (mostly because we didn't have one!). After a long day on the road we got back to Elizabeth at 7.30 PM.

And guess what: End of story? - NO! I got the stupid idea of logging another 50 caches in 4 hours to break my most finds record. But due to all the DNFs I made, this would have not worked out. Around 10 PM I gave up and logged Gawler Fort Knox instead.

All in all a great tour with 55 finds and sadly 7 DNFs (all around Elizabeth Sad). In the end I also got my well deserved sleep! Razz

Razz
