Logs for Mellee
06-Jun-10
After an invite from Geckoh a couple of months ago, we finally figured out a date to go caving. So away we went on one rainy rainy day. I sent Mr Mellee in as my representative as he has a huge love of caving, and well, I had to keep the geopooch company. Mr Mellee, as is he way, could only describe the adventure as AWESOME and has yet to give me the actual details, but it sounds like the 5/5 was a 5 out of 5.

FTF at 6.43pm. After numerous phone calls from Geckoh informing us that warmth and dinner did not trump geocaching, we went out the back door to get this one. Sent Mr Mellee in with only the light of iPhone to guide him, and he returned 2 mins later unsuccessful. I was dragged in to face my irrational fear of bushes in the nighttime to act as Mr Mellees good luck charm, cache was found, signed and rehidden as there was scary noises. Thanks for the well hidden cache in my backyard, always nice to have an easy cache close by. Now we can enjoy our cold dinner without Geckohs phonecalls

First geocaching event ever, was a little thrown off by it all, but was good to put names to faces.
Thanks for the great event
Thanks for the great event
Great location, have been there before and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately got ushered outside a little too soon which resulted in a dash back to childhood years and a play on the playground, still feeling ill from the spiny thing. ugh. thanks for the event!

Unfortunately havent had the time to re-enable this cache. Will allow this site to be used for other geocaches

Logged with permission.
Trekked all the way up karioi, and what an adventure course it is with chain ropes and staircases, only to discover this cache and that the pen was in the car. Unable to scribble my name into the logbook, as there was no writing material near-by, not even mud. Didnt think the sweat that was dripping off me wouldve worked either. Fortunately had camera with me to take pictures of the view and the logbook as proof! TFTC

Out on an adventure with the Team Geckoh and found this one. Ok, Mr Geckoh found this one, but only because he pointed me in the wrong direction and wandered off to find it first!
TFTC and the puzzle.
TFTC and the puzzle.
Found while sending Mr Geckoh off on his mountain climbing mission. Thank goodness I didnt have to go any higher! The views were fantastic, might suggest to Mr Mellee that we go up the mountain from this side next time. TFTC
"Maybe this time, I'll be lucky" and yes I was! Nice easy peasy puzzle, only had to blink and it was solved! TFTC
Again, Geckoh drags me away from the warm safety of my bed and makes me go caching. Must be to use me as a distraction for people wandering by as GZ was very busy today. Got a find as my reward, yay! But must admit, puzzle is beyond me

Thanks Sp8sm8 for the update. Checked the cache this morning and it is indeed AWOL, although I did find the autographed bit of bark for Sp8sm8.
Will re-enable this cache in a couple of weeks when I have camo'd up another container.
Sorry

After a hard day of child labour under the strict direction of Geckoh, I was ordered to go geocaching for a first to find. Feeling a little hazy being in the light of day, my focus remained on sewing. Although I still noticed obvious disturbances of spiderwebs indicating a cache location. I pointed Geckoh in the right direction while I tried to sneak of for freedom down the bank. It was an unsuccessful attempt, hence the logging of a joint first to find from the dungeon.

Another late night caching trip with Geckoh. Had fun trying to look inconspicuous with all the other late night visitors. TFTC

Mr Mellee picked this one up for me on his way through this week. TFTC

Thanks geckoh for another great cache. Fortunately I was assisted by a workmate who's hobby finally had a good use!

Assisted geckoh with the start of the decoding of this one, but then it got too complicated for me! Thanks for bringing my puzzle solving ego down a peg, and thanks for the cache!
With Geckoh's help, this cache was an easy find. Thanks for the fun puzzle!

TFTC, found easily once the common sense part of my brain had woken up!
With the entire town of te awamutu watching the regional marching band competition, I was able to quietly sneak around and grab this cache. TFTC, loved the camo!
A great location, one I've always wanted to have a picnic at. Quick cache in the early morning. TFTC
Slowly working my way through this series, now only the bonus to go. TFTC
Perfect cache for today, after being woken up by geckoh at a ghastly early time, I've been wandering around all day looking rather like I was smote by god today. TFTC! 2nd to find as geckoh was too afraid to put their hands in the blackberry first!
The first in a long day of geocaching after months of geo-holidays. Thanks for the challenging puzzle and the easy find!

2nd to find! Was expecting more to have found it before me . Thanks geckoh for the mention in the listing and for finally making an easy puzzle to solve! TFTC TNLN

Muhaha! First to log! Shouldve been faster geckoh! Joint FTF after a quick puzzle solve. TFTC

Loved the location! Haven't been on a playground this awesome since they tore down the rickety one at primary school. Thanks for the cache
I was doing so well until this cache. Which is when I got attacked by blackberry, thorns and took home a good portion of sticks in my hair, can't complain too much tho as the log did get signed. TFTC
One of those rare occasions when I beat geckoh to a cache. Good location TFTC
Quick find with geckoh after dragging ourselves away from the nearby playground. TFTC
Hamilton's 400 is mellee's 400. Thanks cashkids for another great puzzle and an awesome milestone. TFTC
Tagged along with geckoh for this one, an easy find as the cache had been disturbed from it's hiding location. Was rightfully hidden after the signing of the log. TFTC
10-Jan-10
Nice cache on a very windy day. Ate our breakfast while watching the view. TFTC
Sad to log a DNF for this one. After solving the puzzle we discovered a vital flaw in the iPhone Geocaching app - no way of entering the new co-ords! So we gave it a stab and hunted around in possible locations, before calling a friend. The co-ords were confirmed correct, and a detailed clue given to the location, we started a second hunt only to be called short by running out of time before an appointment. Will conquer this one, next time around.

First for us in the Rotund series, may be our new years resolution to complete it! TFTC
Quick cache, this entrance to Cambridge seemed much quieter in comparison to the others. TFTC
