Logs for Mog60

31-Aug-24
Thanks for the hunt.

25-Mar-13
An easy find (cache was totally exposed) after a beautiful fact finding walk. I stayed over night and had a very lovely and relaxing time here, especially as my group had close access to spend time with and to understand the daily lives of the monks that live in New Norcia. Thanks for the cache BL cache was left in same spot but better hidden. Mog60

16-Nov-12
A really clever idea. I look forward to seeing how you develop these cryptex devices in the future. Got to say its a lovely spot as we live in the area. TFTC. Mog60 Smile

07-Sep-11
We did the "big brother" of this one quite a while ago and so it was fairly easy to find this cache even without a GPS"r in hand. The Park is very beautiful at the moment, so a pleasure to come here to find Pontoon number 2. TNLNSL. Mog60

05-Sep-11
It has taken us a long time to get back to this cache. Made a special effort to get to it today and my numbers were found to be acceptable to the bookkeeper. TNLNSL Mog60

Very very pleased to have found this one. My dentist will also be pleased as he reckons I am grinding my teeth at night, presumably because I am trying to work out Bear_Left caches once again. I am also amazed how I "cant see" even though I am looking. Fire has been through this area fairly recently but the cache has thankfully missed any damage. TNLNSL. Thanks Bear_Left

04-Sep-11
It was a bumpy ride, coming in from the north in our seemingly very low slung two wheel drive car. Things were not helped by the recent rains which left big ruts in the road. We made it to the top and I (smallest Mog) managed to find the cache within minutes using my compass.

03-Sep-11
A relatively quick find! forward planning always helps, as does Google Earth. The cache itself was a little damp and we dried it out as much as possible before replacing it. Thanks for the cache Bear_Left, as always a feeling of pride when we solve one of yours. TNLN.

Mog60

The second BL cache for the day and a quick find thanks to the eagle eyes of one of the younger Mogs. TNLNSL
Thanks to Bear_Left for this one.

21-Aug-11
A beautiful day for a walk and in such a lovely area. Good to see water flowing under the bridge. An easy find, Took small yoyo, left Perth Wildcats badge. Thanks BL. Mog60.

29-Jul-11
The Mog60 Team's first cache for a long time. This one took a bit of research, but was an easy find once out in the field with the GPSr/Teleporter device. Youngest Mog took a blue elephant necklace and replaced it with a high bounce ball. TFTC. Mog60 Smile

28-Sep-09
An easy find in a very beautiful forrest. Thankyou for bringing us to this spot. Once we had found the cache, we went back to the car and carried on to the the lookout which gave good panoramic views. TNLNSL Mog60

06-Jun-09
Found the treasure at last, and in a beautiful spot as well. We have waited a long time for that rascally little "scallywag" of a pirate to show his face again. It didn't take too much persuasion to get him to give up his clues (we think it was the strong sunlight after all that time in the dungeons).
Took a key ring and left a sharks tooth keyring to replace it.
Thanks so much for yet another excellent "PaddyK" cache. Mog

31-May-09
This is the first Cache that we have done in a long while. We chose this one because we wanted to get our hands on the "PaddyK Pirate King TB" which had been out of circulation for a time. We had a wonderful walk and left the Pirate king in the cache just in case someone else had a mind to see him after his long absence this weekend. We hope to return to the area soon to dig up the treasure associated with this rascally pirate . TNLN. Mog60

07-Feb-09
Thanks SharksXV for an excellent and well thought out Cache. The young Mogs loved it and now want to bring their friends back with them to do it again. Mog

31-Jan-09
A relatively simple Bear_Left cache, but not any less interesting for that. For example, watching the different techniques used by the team members of different ages, to count the objects and how the youngest ones "touch each one in turn and count out loud" technique turned out to be the best. We also saw the man who lives there and said hello to him, but he took no notice of us. I guess he is used to strangers wandering about by now. TFTC.

26-Jan-09
We solved the puzzle and the GPSR took us to within 5 meters or so of the cache. We then looked around for a likely hidng place and one wet foot later we had the cache in our hands. The contents were quite damp so the logbook could not be signed. TFTH.

We were driving down the Leach Highway towards another cache when one of the team pointed out how near this one was. This will go down as one of our quickest finds from start to finish, as we turned off the highway and had it found within minutes. Thanks for the cache. TNLNSL.

We found this one very quickly and were able to walk straight up to it because the area is quite dry at the moment and the GPS was on form. A very beautiful spot. TFTC.

25-Jan-09
We had a beautiful walk up the track from Watsonia road to find this one. TNLNSL.

10-Jan-09
It was pleasing to find this one or perhaps, more relief that the hunt was over and that my ponderings were actually correct (having searched the area once before with no luck). The placement of waypoint one has given us an area that we intend to revisit, so thanks for that Bear_Left. TNLNSL. Mog

09-Jan-09
A beautiful spot and an easy find. TNLNSL.

06-Jan-09
Thanks BCNU for a great cache. Its always nice to learn a little about an area. Found both parts fairly easily.
Took keyring left clamp. Mog

02-Jan-09
Cache title says it all. Tnlnsl. Mog

01-Jan-09
We come here a lot as a family. Such beautiful views. Mog

A great way to start the New Year. Solve a Bear_Left puzzle and start our first geocoin off on its journey. At the GZ we were met by some very friendly ducks, but also a less than happy large centipede, which we displaced from his home in the inner sanctum of the cache. Thanks to BL for another wonderful hunt. Having listened to a lot of Bach in order to find this cache I feel I can offer an alternative name for this cache i.e "Bach Rocks" or should that be "Bach Rock"

Dropped off the Mogs "Save the Dolphins" Geocoin and a record based sticker. Took nothing. TFTH. Mog

30-Dec-08
Just dropped by to set "sandy" on her travels hopefully up to Broome. Mog

27-Dec-08
The box was opened by one of the young "Mogs' before I could even get a look at it myself. The next stage took a bit more effort but we got the correct solution using google and returned for a quick find. TNLNSL. Many Thanks to BL for another great hunt. Mog60

26-Dec-08
Found after a lot of searching on the web, much gnashing of teeth and scratching of head and even then only by ignoring the east coords and acting on a hunch. Sadly, the cach itself was easy to find once at the GZ as it was laying out from its home on the floor and open to the weather. However, there were stilll some trades inside along with a good condition log book and the "Sandy" travel bug. I did my best to put the cache back where it came from and removed the TB for safety and to move it on. TFTH.

20-Dec-08
A fun walk down to the cache was had by all the Mogs. Especially when Mrs Mog ran past me down the slippery path shouting that she couldn't stop. Well she did and safely too! An easy find after all the fun. TNLNSL. Thanks Bear_left.

A pleasant walk up from the "Poison Gully" cache (with all the nice views to take in) led us to our second cache of the day. This cache was a bit more difficult to find than our first one, but find it we did. TNLNSL. Many thanks to Bear_left for the hunt. Mog60.

19-Dec-08
Would you believe it, we walked staight up to this one and it was in the first place we looked. Great idea for a cache and a beautiful park to view as well. TFTC. Mog

08-Nov-08
A very pleased "youngest Mog" found this one, and a good job too as there were lots of places to search.
p.s. I must be slow as I only got the joke from the cache description page 'picture" when I went to log this find.

TFTC. TNLNSL Mog

A very pleasing and enjoyable cache. We liked having to track across bushland (challenging for the young Mogs) whilst seeing the lovely views and coming up trumps in the end. Picked up the Tiger loves caches TB and signed log.
Thanks for a great cache PaddyK. Mog60

There were four of us looking for this one and I think we were also pretty lucky that one of us happened to look in the right direction at the right time! as there were lots of potential hiding places. Also lots of spiders around to make the hunt even more challenging. TNLNSL. Thanks for the cache. Mog

A very quick find this time around.
We dropped of the "Tiger loves Caches TB" and a small glass egg in return for a page of stickers.

Thanks for the Cache. Mog60

02-Nov-08
Sadly, didn't find the cache after about 30 mins of searching
Happily/luckily, didn't see a snake either Wink. tfth. Mog60

13-Oct-08
Found at about 4.45 pm
A true milestone for the Mogs as we near to our 100th cache.
It was with great delight that we discovered we were the first to find the cache at its new co-ordinates. We had seen the original publishing but I didn't think to take a note of them late at night. When the listing had mysteriously gone the next morning we went for a walk on the island anyway, just in case it jumped out on us Smile. Today when we saw that it had been published again and already discovered, we thought we would give it another go, this time with the co-ordinates. Success!! Thanks so much Mischief's Crew for the FTF prize of the "save the Dolphins" Geocoin. We will have to think up an appropriate task for it.
Took the croc pins and left a Carabeener, UB40 music cd and a badge.
Didn't hang aroung long at the GZ because of the Mozzies.
Thanks once again for the cache. Mog60

12-Oct-08
[I expect you would be pleased to hear that the bees are all doing fine and kept all but the bravest "Mog" at bay].

There was a flying saucer sitting just outside and in the open next to the GZ. I put it on top of the cache inside its hiding place. I hope that was OK with you paddyK

[D: 1x fire sticker and furry dog]
[A: super bouncy ball. ]
[TFTC.] [Mog]

A fairly quick find for us, after falling for the more obvious "hiding place" trick Wink TNLNSL. Thanks to the whitedoggang for bringing us to see this area. Mog

10-Oct-08
An excellently prepared cache. the young mogs loved doing this one. We got the required book from the library and identified each of the waypoints with the excitement of real palaeontologists. It was pleasing to find that our calculations for the cache were spot on. Thanks PaddyK for a terrific and well presented hunt. Took the geo pin left a torch. Mog

A quick and easy find for us on our way up to the dinosaur graveyard. TNLNSL. Mog

A beautiful walk to the cache followed by an easy find and a short rest whilst the log was signed in order to get us ready for the walk up the hill. Thanks for the cache. TNLN. Mog

07-Oct-08
Second attempt at this one, and looking for the cache at the alternative coords suggsted by "BL" we came up trumps. TNLNSL. Mog

05-Oct-08
Lucky for us the river was not too difficult to cross (especially if you are on dads back). A good fun cache for us all. Nice to be able to think about all the fun that must have been had the area in days gone by. TFTH. TNLNSL. Mog

Came to do this one on the way back home after spending a lovely couple of days in the south west. We read the history of the "cache area" before setting off. It certainly adds a lot to a cache hunt to know that type of information. Left Trakabulldog geocoin to continue his journey.
TFTC. Mog

04-Oct-08
An easy find for us after finding the nearby "King of the castle". TFTC. Mog

A good fun find after a nice and pleasant walk into the forest. Contents still damp therefore log not signed. TFTC and the laugh comdek and crew. Mog

We didn't expect to find this one, having read the last couple of logs, but Eagle rock was a place that we had wanted to visit anyway. The walk to the cache was very pleasant and we didn't spend much time hunting for the cache. Thanks for bringing us here. Mog

A beautiful sunny afternoon walk along to the cache after a rainy morning. A fantastic view from near the cache but sadly no whales to be seen. Out toy plane. In cable ties. TFTC. Mog
