Logs for Morgan la Fée

After a geo-family day trip out to Sovereign Hill whilst on a visit from the UK, I had sneakily run a pocket query to bag a few Ballarat caches on the way back to Melbourne. On finding the obelisk it turned out that all the PQ had loaded was the co-ords and cache size... no description or hints (same for all other Ballarat caches). After a good look round obelisk and GZ it had to be a DNF (I didn't want to risk rummaging around in the plants). Interesting read of the history on the sign though, so not all lost. End of geocaching in Ballarat for today.

A lucky find straight away as the guys are still clearing up after the F1. As mentioned before, the log(s) have been hit by the red ink. TFTC.

Couldn't resist this cache being so close to the start of the Melbourne F1 circuit. Dropped off a TB from Hungary. TFTC.

Had to dodge some possum thing here! Waited for the all clear then the cache was in hand. TFTC.

A quick cache and dash before taking the 6.05pm Picton to Wellington ferry. Taking the ferry out of Picton and into the Cook Strait has to be the most memorable of trips. TFTC

A great spot... we're just on a flying visit from the UK for some whale watching, the geokids really enjoyed the seals here and we saw some dolphins from the lookout near the cache. TFTC.

Found whilst out geocaching before our whale watching trip in Kaikoura. Two cars and a camper van followed in quick succession... fellow geocachers, we can't be sure? TFTC

What a fantastic spot! We played 'out-wait a muggle couple' here for a silly amount of time... Geodad even ran back down to sea level for the car and returned to geo family, but the muggles were still right on GZ!

Found whilst visiting NZ from the UK. The log is full, so we squeezed in somewhere in the middle where there was space. Only the 911 geocoin in there in terms of TBs. TFTC

Looked all around, but DNF (although now back at the hotel I can think of a place to look but we didn't at the time!). A great story though, so we were pleased to visit and learn about Paddy.
Nice views across the marina... had to play 'out wait the muggle' at this one. TFTC.

Popped by during the day, but too many muggles. Came back in the evening after seeing the Kiwi birds up the road, spent a while rummaging around after resorting to the clue (we've learnt something about NZ flora!), but no luck... quite annoying given the hint, previous logs and our tenacity at looking!
28-Mar-12
Found it after a bit of a search, our GPS had it 20ft away from cache co-ords. TFTC, we enjoyed a wander round the steamy park

Bit of muggle dodging, but we retrieved and replaced discretely. TFTC

Leaving Sydney on a DNF! Tired twice this week to bag this one, the first time there were some guys sleeping here, today I had a clear run but no joy.
Wandered up and down the ramp, but DNF! There must be 10 million bicycles in Sydney!

Our first night cache on the way back from Waggamamas! Really quiet down here tonight, not sure how these waterfront restaurants are making a living right now. Signed the log 'MLF'. TFTC.

Great location, just hoped the guy upstairs didn't suddenly leave his office! TFTC

Looked all around, under, you name it... even the hint didn't help. GPS jumping around a bit and the restaurant was very busy so quite a few muggles potentially looking at us.
On the sixth attempt over three days... then a little fortunate encounter with two kind folk and we were there! Caches should be listed by Longitude, Latitude *and* altitude!!!! TFTC, a great view from here that we simply wouldn't have found without the help of geocaching. Well worth a favourite.

Nice spot for a cache! Even borrowed a pen from a delegate at the conference centre who was, ahem, 'taking a break' out on the bench near GZ ... they didn't suspect a thing as geodaughter is nifty at undercover cache retrievals. TFTC

A nice quiet spot for a cache, the geokids liked searching for this one. TFTC.

Looked under, over and around (but not in)... couldn't see for looking I guess... not the prettiest spot on Bondi!
Love the periscopes!!... the best anti-muggle device ever. If you think your cover is blown, just look into the yellow periscopes and it will look like you've deliberately come here to have a look! TFTC. Dipping 4 TBs whilst on our travels from the UK.

Our first cache in Australia! TFTC. I'm dipping 4 TBs here that I've brought over from the UK... as we're just at the start of our travels we'll hold on to them for a bit and take them round other caches before a final drop off.

BTW, this cache appears to list lots of TBs, but as of 16:00 22/3 there's just one dog trying to get to San Jose in there.
