Logs for Neo777

06-Aug-19

As promised I went for the true multicache again. And I must say I had missed the best part. With the "replacement box" out of the way, the waypoints could be clearly identified. Two other cachers walked up and confirmed I was looking at the right spot for WP2. Incredible hide!
The hint in mind and dodging various sports enthousiasts with their personal trainers aswell as some tourists, I went for the final. Thanks for this tricky one, enjoyed it very much.
At KIWI-Nomads request I moved the travelbugs to the right location. To avoid future confusion I moved all other contents from the replacement box aswell , and put the empty box next to the final. So this cache now contains two logbooks. You can use the replacement book once the original is full (which will not happen anytime soon). Trades see yesterday's log (changed it to write note)!

Nice walk after I had checked in to fly home. It's 700m from exit B at the international terminal.
Picked up TB Sidney who has a more urgent mission. Left TB Intercontinental Express to travel more in Australia or move on to Europe. I wanted to swap some coins, too, but I forgot to put one in and I think I dropped the US Quarter before putting it in my pocket. So if the next one please have a close look around... TFTC!

27-Sep-06
I had booked the bridge climb, but arrived a little early. So there was time to reach for this cache in between two groups of muggles. TFTC!

Peter (Neo)

Found the cache today and swapped TBs. No hint of further WPs, so it was the final? Since this is such a nice spot I might be back and see if additional WPs can be found...
Out: TB Intercontinental Express (will take him to Germany)
In: TB Dale Jr TB Racer (box is packed now!)

Very nice spot. Unusually quiet, at the end of a tour around Circular Quay... TFTC!

This one was fairly easy to find, even with some muggles close by. They were all looking the other way!
Took the Kiwi coin to move to Germany!

Peter (Neo)

At night, this place is really secluded. And quiet, not counting the traffic noise from cars and trains... No trade.

Peter (Neo)

Interesting walk along the shore reading the plaques for various writers. I decided to log Kylie Tennant, because I liked the quote from her book "Ride On Stranger". You can read the lines in the picture below.

After dark, 0 chefs + 3 cabdrivers. They were busy with conversation, so a quick log was no problem.

Peter (Neo)

After dark, with some drizzle made this one easy. Nice spot, great view at night! This was my first geocache in Australia!

Peter (Neo)

Found this at the end of a long day. It was already dark, with lots of muggles very close to the cache coordinates...

Peter (Neo)

Getting used to this very urban setting made this one a lot easier. Well, at least after I figured out how to get there!

Peter (Neo)

This puzzle was solved a while ago back in Germany. Now finally I had the chance to prove it. After some shopping I went for this cache. Bingo!

25-Sep-06
All the preparation beforehand left the image of a very sophisticatd cache. And so it was: The location of the forest was determined and the steps towards WP1 were laid out before me. But hajking through the dense forest proved tricky. A missed turn and a forgotten note on my map made me start over twice. At least I knew my way around then and the closed bridgewas no more an obstacle. After all these twists and turns it was a huge relief to find WP1. WP2 was then quickly located, same with WP3 (excellent map!).
The final cache again needs good preparation for a clear picture. And so it happened that even with the help of St. Ouens I was not able to put my hands on the treasure. I'm sorry but I have to log this as not found. For the time being I will not return anytime soon. But still it remains one of the finest caches I know!

Nice spot. Went there on a windy Sunday morning after a yummy breakfast in the cafe just across the water.

Peter (Neo)

I sat down right next to it as the performance was on. Then my shoelace miraculously opened, and I had the cache in my hand Smile

Peter (Neo)

Found this beautiful cache on a windy Sunday. Enjoyed the view! I'll upload a picture when I get back home to Germany.

Peter (Neo)

Nice spot. It was cool and windy, so not many muggles around. But still enough for some guys to have their picture taken. Then on to some serious geocaching business...

Peter (Neo)

No problems finding this nice box, once a group of LOTR tourists had moved on. I'm amazed, they know about every tree-stump that appears in the movie... TFTC!

23-Sep-06
Very nice walk from Picton. Enjoyed the view, and the nice place to sign the log. The box was a little wet inside, I took out some water. The goods are all dry though.

Peter (Neo)

Beautiful valley. Found the cache, then continued on to the Hilltop lookout with fantastic view over Picton. TFTC!

Short walk from the ferry. GPS was right on spot after some jumping around. TFTC!

Peter (Neo)

Nice spot. Knowing how busy it is during the day, I tried it on Saturday night. Even then some muggles came along, but enough time in between to get the box, sign and put it back.

Peter (Neo)

Took the walk from Picton, very nice along the ridge, and great views. TFTC!

22-Sep-06
On my way south, a quick stop to rest. It was raining, so a very quick stop... TFTC!

Early morning, rain - so just a quick look at the carrot and a short log. No trade.

Peter (Neo)

Interesting place, nice memorial. Even early in the morning in the rain, some muggles were around this place. But they too moved on soon. Like me Smile

Beautiful spot, I would never have found it without geocaching! TFTC!

It was not so easy to get to the spot in the first place. Always somebody around, so I had to wait a while. Then some unconspicious grabbing and soon I had the cache in hand.

Found this during the evening rush hour, but it was just a quick grab to hold this in hands. Good idea to replace a tricky log page with the question. Thanks for granting permission to log!

21-Sep-06
Easy going on a Thursday morning. Lots of hiding places around, but the hint helped pick the right one.

Great cover for a geocache! Found it after sunset, it was pretty dark already. Dolly is doing fine, left her for some more rest!

Peter (Neo)

Not many muggles around on this nice morning. Easy walk through the park. At GZ several possible spots, and some boxes of ratbait to confuse us geocachers Smile

Stopped on my way south. Nice exercise walking uphill and looking for the cache. Beautiful sunset on one side and the dark rainclouds on the other. Took souvenir card.

20-Sep-06
Breathtaking view over Manukau Harbor from the visitor center. And a lot to learn about the area. Then a short walk to the cache. Thanks for showing me this place!

Peter (Neo)

At night the view is even more impressive. Thank you The Artful Dodger for hiding it, and the permission to log!

Peter (Neo)

It was dark already, so no muggles around. The cache was easy to find, and well covered afterwards. TFTC!

Urban geocaching by night, this was the perfect place for it. TFTC!

It was dark already, so no muggles and no water Sad

I liked the scent of the log paper Smile

Peter (Neo)

Ups, wrote in the second field. Sorry Mitrou, didn't have your log on my PDA. But I had some strange thoughts about those scratches on the paper... But anyway, great cache!

Enjoyed the sunset, then went on to find this cache in the twilight. Very nice spot!

Peter (Neo)

Interesting place with its history! Logged on the extra sheet, there's only space left for one or two others.
In: 20ct from Germany
Out: 100ct NZ Smile

19-Sep-06
I love cave-caches! Smile
So of course I had to inspect the dwarf's home closely. Then on to the next cave, as far as my poor torch permitted... No trade. TFTC!

FTF Big Grin

This place feels like the end of the world! The end of the road at least, not a soul in sight, beautiful beach landscape. And a sunny day, what more do I need to say. The cache was easy to find, took a swim afterwards. Thanks for taking me to this place!
Out: 1ct NZ
In: 5ct AUS

Peter (Neo777)

Started off with the Falls, then took a nice walk down to the canopy bridge, then on to the cache. So finally I can tell a Kauri from a Totara Smile

18-Sep-06
Great place! As soon as I had worked out the compass directions (patchy GPS reception), it was easy! No trade.

Peter (Neo)

Great walk, great views! Thanks for showing me this beautiful place! Sunny day, so it was a perfect time! Cache was easy to find, nice hidingplace. TNLNSL.
