Thanks for the adventure. Found cache blended in well but out in the open. Hid cache again afterwards.

This was one of those "hmm... could it be..." instant finds, when caching senses are on fleek.

Visiting Nelson for a few days. Explained some sediment transport theory from the sign at the top. Nice walk along the river and then to the top.

Merry Christmas! Wandered to this place with my parents today, happened to be Christmas day too! Many muggles about!

Kept getting the geo-checker co-ordinates wrong, so applied the clue to every possible location. This worked!

Looked quite intensely at what hint was referring to, then gave up. But then I stumbled upon another one of what the hint was hinting at! Which turned out to be the right one, after rummaging. Really wouldn't have found the cache if I wasn't specifically looking for it.

Staying at the HTG hut for a couple of days and caving in the local area. Stumbled upon the geocache this second time while exploring this awesome place again. It was very very wet and cold (even with thick layers of wetsuits). Took out some rubbish while we were at it but there was still junk like shovels and stuff there, which could be removed in the future. Saw a gigantic weta, at least 20cm long including antennae!

Nice relaxing stroll this lovely afternoon. Shopping trolleys populating the grass and families the lawns.
29-Jan-16
Read through some logs and geocaching senses closed in on the find sans GPS. Piece of cake to go with the tea.
Yeah, log book's decomposing nicely.

Actually wasn't geocaching when I found this. Just walking with dad, and this hidden container caught my eye. Geocaching senses kicked in... grabbed it and opened to confirm it was a cache.
Returned with pen today to sign logbook.
Hid it a bit better too...
TFTC!

Great fun exploring the neighbourhood today! Possibly the largest cache I have ever found...! TFTC!
Nice as camo! The neigh-bours were out playing with their dogs. And I was neigh in sight of the horses.
This could be a great thought experiment. Which geocachers would dare to overstep the bounds of socially constructed absolutisms... Fantastic camo and awesome cache!
Hehe, kids returning home from school this afternoon, and me surreptitiously launching myself over bridges... Cool camo!

Hehe... camo was a bit exposed so spotted cache easily. Replaced it better though. Cool camo! There was this one dude watching us while he was smoking, but we might have creeped him away...
Thank goodness for the clue - saved us from a certain amount of scratches and pain. Also the clue would probably apply to a tallish someone. Cool cache location, and TFTC!
Walked right up to here and was like, it's definitely here... reached and grabbed it. I still have that geocaching sense! TFTC!
Easy bike through the park this afternoon. Nice spot to sign the log book. Also added another strip of paper for a log book in there.

On a bushwalking trip with the Melbourne University Mountaineering Club! Fantastic weather and awesome views!
Had lunch nearby, but didn't bring a pen. Had to scribble in the log the old, old fashioned way - with some mud, water and a fine twig.

Just went for a casual walk with my parents, with no intention of geocaching, but when I spotted this slightly camoed film canister sitting where it was, those geocaching instincts kicked in. So I found this cache by accident, signed my name, and covered it slightly better when I left. TFTC!

GPS went a bit funny on this one, taking me not to where the title suggested, but elsewhere around. Eventually gave up on the GPS and followed those sixth sense geocaching instincts... And tada! Must agree the camo was cool.
I really appreciated the clarity of this hint, as it allowed me to grab the cache and escape from approaching muggles quickly!
This hint made use of my flora knowledge, and I am proud to say that I got this one! TFTC!
Easy find! Quite a few muggles about on this windy day. There were these two memorable ladies who were taking photos for everyone at the big photo frame.
So there was this lone sheep sitting in the middle of the field. And then there were all these other sheep in the far away paddock. I think the lone sheep was lost.
Spotted the identifying macrocarpa and lighthouse on Tiri! But no cache.

Heaps of muggles around today, but the cache was hidden in a clever position, hidden from muggle eyes.
Beautiful views!

Was looking on the "left," but actually found it on the "other left" when I was retracing my steps.
First cache of the day.
Glad I read up on my frogs last year, because there were heaps of green and golden bell frogs in the pond on the way - my first time actually seeing (introduced) frogs in the wild in New Zealand!!
Thank you for putting a cache down this way!

Nope: checked in a few hollows, but didn't find any caches.
Felt bad going off the path to look for this one, but still not finding it. Not that I looked too long because I didn't want to go around spreading tree diseases or treading on saplings, or compacting the soil which would make it difficult for new plants to grow...
The cache was lying rather exposed there, so I covered it with stuff!! Also found an old receipt. It made rather interesting reading, including 4 different slabs and bars of chocolate, 2 packets of sweet biscuits, a pack of super tampons and ice cream.
Felt kind of bad going off the track so far looking for this cache, muddied my shoes, but still to no avail.
Scored a pink drink bottle next to the cache too - is it anyone's?

At first I went to the beach, and then thought that the terrain rating wasn't entirely suitable for clambering up soft sea cliffs, so tried another altitude before stumbling upon the cache, which like the other comments said, was in quite an obvious position! Anyways, I hid it a bit better before I left. Fun to be caching back in Auckland!
My phone's gps was really extremely spot on with these co-ords. Using the c:geo app. TFTC!
