Well, I had my eyes on this event for a long time. It was supposed to happen exactly on my scheduled day off... So I was very keen on attending one last CITO in Australia before leaving... Oh boy!

But then the event was pushed later, and I was sad because that day I was already out of the country.

And then, the rainy days came and my work schedule changed... The job got extended and that is why I am still in the country. Not just that, but I really got lucky and the event was taking place right after my night shift, meaning I could attend. Any other day would've been impossible for me to make it.

And so, after a 15h shift overnight, I got on my bike and came to Silverwater Park for the CITO!

Thank you Alephroom for organising this. It was great meeting you!

And thank you for the souvenir (CITO season 1 souvenir)

After the event I got back on the bike, arrived at the hotel, slept for 3h and then back at work.. What a day!

Back in Sydney this year for work. Not many days off, not much time for geocaching, but since some days are rainy and we are not at work, I can still go around and get some finds. Luckily this year I also have my bike with me, so that makes it easier to get around.

Oh, how things change. It seems that our schedule has changed and I am still here on the 13th. I will try my best to be at the CITO.

I should be just comming off from a night shift so it's a good thing this event is early in the morning.

Hopefully the work schedule doesn't change again in the meantime.

Ohoo, me and [@Molnarim78](http://coord.info/PRXRMN2) struggled a bit last year over here. But no luck

This time, even though the weather is mostly rainy, I decided I just needed to get the find. came here on bike, found a window of opportunity and FOUND THE CACHE! Finally! Unfortunately the lid is completely broken. The box was full of water!
Thank you Bill Bergia and the Claddings!

Wanted to get the multi near the armory, but somehow ended up with a DNF.. then it was time to get may revenge on a DNF from last year.

Well, since he end of the moth is near ans my pre-pay SIM is about to expire, I decided it's now time to get the AL in Auburn, while I still have mobile data. For regular geocaches you can always play offline, but these AL ones do not work without internet. So, so annoying!

Well, this was the main reason that I came here.. I needed a mystery for today, but also I wanted the AL cache.. What a great combo for a rainy day, after work... Rode my bike all the way here, but just for the final point in the AL, and the traditional nearby, I had to go by foot, leaving the bike at the main road.

Thank you tronador!

Came here while doing the last point of the AL.. Searched for a bit but to no avail... was a bit afraid for my life as there are so many things that can kill me in your lovely country... And nobody knew I was here...

Then I did the AL... and decided I would give this yet another chance before going to the hotel... And there you go! Persistence payed up! I found the cache after noticing the terrain level!

First cache of the day. Came here for lunch and I was very happy we did! While we were waiting for the second car to arrive (other half of the group) I had time to go out and find not one, but actually two caches. Quick grab!

Thank you pjmpjm!

We had a day off because of bad weather in Sydney Olympic Park. And a plan came to take shape for a group of us to visit the Blue Mountain. I looked at the map and saw there are some nice geocaching possibilities in the area, and I could get some of those even in a mostly muggle group.

After lunch we all craved some ice-cream. So we came here to get some desert. Again, one car arrived earlier than the other, so while we were waiting.. I found this cache. Very fast and easy. I do think it's small size, not regular.. but still a god cache, in great condition.

What a lovely AL, the only FULL one I found today. The BONUS was a very nice surprise... I only fund out about it's existence upon finding the first AL point.

Last cache of the day! Time to head back to the hotel.

Wow, what a challenge! I am just so happy I got the chance to be here and find this. I was just randomly going on the map and I saw this and Cound not believe my eyes. Ran the checker and found that I actually qualify with 10 different countries! (should I now make a challenge with 10 countries? )

It is so nice to see that CO also found some of those wwbcams that I did.
Indeed the [one in Denmark](https://coord.info/GLPAE5TT) was also one of my favourite ones because it asks you to do a funny pose and because I did it on my bike, while training for my big bike tour across Europe:

A very well made cache, loved the camouflage and the tree, a brilliant challenge. Thank you also to my good friends M and Scotty for the drive.

Thank you for this amazing opportunity to be [FTF] on a very special cache and also one that hasn't been found for such a long time.
Hope to be back here next year!

Thank you team novo!

[RaduC](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=RaduC) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC91D9F/56676 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I have found required number of caches (1) in each of 10 Countries (required number of Countries: 5).
Finds in required Countries are listed here:

1. **Denmark** [Chris Cross (GCQY26)](https://coord.info/GCQY26) | 2015-09-27 | 2005-10-11
2. **Germany** [Düsseldorfer Radschläger (GCE3F3)](https://coord.info/GCE3F3) | 2017-01-15 | 2003-03-13
3. **Netherlands** ["NijverdalCam" (GCPTAP)](https://coord.info/GCPTAP) | 2017-07-22 | 2005-07-20
4. **United Kingdom** [London - Beatles Abbey Road (GC6F12)](https://coord.info/GC6F12) | 2017-08-16 | 2002-07-10
5. **Spain** [Pirineus (GCHVXZ)](https://coord.info/GCHVXZ) | 2017-09-22 | 2004-03-07

After a long and wet night shift on set, I slept 1h then came to the event.. Nice and dry, met Martin cousins once again, then we each went back to our appointments for the day... Soon after ingot back to the hotel a massive rain hit Olympic Park, so I was very very happy we missed that!

Later in the afternoon, before my shift, I returned here for the second time.. But nobody showed up... Well... That's what I get for hosting events on workdays when people are at work. Maybe next year will be better.

Thank you all!

It's so hard to plan things when my work schedule changes according to the rain.

I will be back at the event coordinates today at 15:30 till 16:00 if anyone else wants to join the event.

Thank you Martin Cousins for joining me this morning!

Thank you exploringdutchman for this nice cache! I loved the container! Quite cool!

As soon as I realised I cannot make it to the event hosted by Jackscruff, and get my second find today as an event, I went here to find the cache and thus obtain my souvenir today.

Nice ride in the rain... Got me completely soaked... Then a small break from the clouds allowed me to arrive here and log the cache dry...

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 50.782 E 151° 3.870

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 50.823 E 151° 3.942

Distance from original: 441.2 feet or 134.5 meters.

Moved the event under the Light Tower @ Sydney Olympic Park (the tower provides some cover from rain and there are stone "benches" to sit on.
Parking should be available on Sydney Olympic Blvd because it is closed until March.

Sorry for spamming your inbox if you have this event on WATCH. Thank you!

Well.. weather sounds to be awful on this special day.. So awful that they canceled work for us, so I am free all day! I can move the event to a more convenient time, when people are not at work...
What do you think about 2:22PM or much later, at 20:02 (8:02PM) ?

I will also move it to a more friendly area nearby.

Well, the weather seems to be bad on TWO's Day, so they gave us the day off from work...
And that means I can join this event, or I will try my very best to do so. With this, and and with my event happening later in the evening... I can get this souvenir by logging 2 events on 22.02.2022, just as I dreamed.
Funny how life goes... I lost the hope to be able to do that.. then the weather forecast gave me the time off required.. I hope the rain does not change it's course...

Will be there!

Unfortunately I do not know much about parking places in the area, or in Sydney for that matter... but, since Olympic Blvd is closed and will be closed at that time also, maybe parking at S 33° 50.759′ E 151° 03.921′ would be an option?

I will look into moving the event. Maybe on top of the Pyramid (S 33° 50.483′ E 151° 03.602′) so that it is closer to Olympic Blvd.
