Logs for Red Flying Kangaroo
29-Apr-13
The wife, two kids and I went to find this cache today but had no luck tracking it down. Our GPS leaves a lot to the imagination as it isn't accurate at all. A small hint would be appreciated.

An easy find in a beautiful spot during the only period in our whole week stay on the gold coast that it wasn't raining.
Great container.

Found this one today in the pouring rain with 4 of us trying to huddle under one umbrella.
The log book is drenched and signing it became very difficult. Might need a new one and a zip lock bag.
Took nothing

Got to stage 2 but could not get the checker to work out correct even though I'm sure I had the right figures to work with... Is raining a lot now anyway but disappointed to not be able to complete this one as we are on holidays here and won't get back here for a while.

Not too sure what the clue was all about but found it fairly easily anyway.

This cache does appear to have disappeared. Sorry guys.
I will replace and consider a slight move to a less trafficked area and see how it goes.

Spent 40 minutes trying to track this one down with the 2 year old geo-kid. Found a big blue tone lizard right at the base of the tee at gz and lots of mushrooms in circles. Great little sport for kids. No muggles around today.

Located this cache today at about 1300.
No drug dealers to be seen today though.
Location of this cache is muddy and rubbish all around but the cache can be accessed without climbing into the drain, reach over from the top.

Found today at 1120 after 3 attempts. Obviously I'm new to this and need to find a few more caches. Used the empty camper van as cover.
A very clever hide.

Found at 1630.
Easy find, exactly where indicated by coordinates. Well hidden from view though.
Grabbed it when there were no cars but forgot my pen so couldn't sign the log. When trying to re-hide a seemingly endless row of cars heading north came along. This allowed me to have a look at the beautiful river and I spotted Mother Duck with her 15 babies (!!!) going for an afternoon swim. Tried to get a shot of them on my camera but apparently they were very camera shy, moving out of the way as soon as they noticed me.
Replaced cache and wandered back to car.
Obviously TNLN.

Great hide. Can't believe I missed it yesterday. No muggles in view today so managed a quick collect and back to the car to sign log.

Visited today to track it down and narrowed it down to a small area but there were too many council workers planting trees and mowing lawns to get too close. Will visit again for a better look.
This was a great little cache. Wife, baby and I trekked up the hill towards the cache and after thinking the hint was just information and not really a hint it all fell into place. The no motorbike sign has been thrown in the bushes further down the hill now though.

Found today with wife. Cache is in need of some attention though as contents are soggy. The pen also didn't work.
Great little hiding spot. Good clues in the description too.

Missed it this time. Too many council workers around laying pipes for drains. Probably not a good one to try during the day at the moment. Think I know where it is though.
Second cache for us. Phone died in middle of hunt so had to search quite hard (read randomly) to find it.
It was a very good hide.
Thanks.
