Awesome little hide! We had to get one more success before departing New Zealand, and this one was perfect! TFTC!
02-May-14
Spent a good amount of time trying to locate, but the light was fading and we forgot our flashlights. Ah well. The walk was great though, and the view spectacular, so while we didn't capture the cache, it was still worth the hunt.

Loved the walk; did take a bit to locate as there are LOTS of fallen trees in the area.
Stumbled over this cache when we pulled in to shoot panoramas of the bay. Used our geosense to locate. TFTC! Stunning view on a beautiful day.
After finding the other nearby cache, we set out for this one. Great hide! Like a natural cave, only prettier. We determined this would be a great launching point for our TB, so we put it in the box. Spent a lot of time just sitting on the bench nearby and admiring the view and listening to the waves.
Thanks for placing this cache near a stunning spot to rest.

TFTC! Right where it should be, just out of sight of the picnickers who pulled in after us.
Much anticipated highlight of our North Island visit was well worth the 2.5 hour drive from Kerikeri. Emailing the answer shortly.
Neat little cache! Had to take a second look before recognizing the troll.

On our way north and swung in; checked the GPS for possible caches and was pleased to see there was this one not 50 meters from our parking space. TFTC!
27-Apr-14
Not a lot of muggle traffic, but the GPS was pointing at the end of the wharf where no benches were (and several fishermen were). Checked the nearest set of seats but could not locate. Ah well; better luck next time we're on this side of the world!

Couldn't find this one, though we supposed it was within the bounds of the museum...and since they'd just closed, we didn't want to trespass. If it's not within the museum boundaries, then it's well-hidden!
TFTC! One of those "you know, this is a good spot for a cache" moments; flip on the GPS and voila! Introduced our Kiwi friends to the geocaching hobby with this one.
Nice quick find. Too bad the shop had just closed, being a miniature modeler ourselves, this store would've been heaven! Ah well, maybe next time we're in NZ we'll make a quick swing-by. TFTC!
23-Apr-14
Almost gave up on this one; had a good idea what we were looking for. Happened to see the spot and managed to slip it out without the muggles around knowing. The carillon went off as we were replacing it; gorgeous little spot to sit and rest. TFTC!
22-Apr-14
TFTC! The log is damp; we flipped the container over so it's not up into the rain.
Cute little out-of-the-way spot, did an early morning grab after breakfast at the nearby French cafe. TFTC!
Neat little side track! Lots of muggles when we went for it, but managed to do the log quickly. Also grabbed a TB to move along across NZ.
Quite busy when we arrived; tried to ascertain everything needed and will send when we get back to the States.
21-Apr-14
Loved this little spot; recommended to us by a Kiwi in Rotorua. Will upload photo and send answers when we get back to the states.
TFTC! We were just arrived in NZ and on our way out when we stopped at this spot to catch our bearings. We looked around and said, "you know, this would be a good place for a cache..." so we fired up the GPS and lo and behold....
Great start to our adventure across the North Island!

Awesome to find the oldest state cache! Pretty epic, as we took our mom with us; she had a blast!
Picked up Big Foot as well. TFTC!
