Logs for Ronbu 

Wish to terminate my membership as age has caught me up. 

Log in a rather sad state so it has been replaced after the 173rd find. 

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified. 

Sadly this cache has been lost and the security of the cache location severely compromised during apparent council activity cleaning up the reserve. I have therefore submitted a formal request for it to be archived. My Apologies to the Cachers who have recently searched unsuccessfully for the Cache.

I am NOT the owner of Cauldicutt's Cache which was located in a small, attractive, off-the-beaten-track, council reserve alongside the Ohau river about 6 km SE of Levin NZ.
For the last six or so years I have maintained this cache after being unable to contact the original owners. I've been reluctant to recommend having it archived as it is one of the older caches in this area and has served to attract cachers to this delightfful little spot.
However, the cache has now gone missing. I suspect that this was during recent council cleanup activity in the reserve within which it was located.
Since its absence is due to circumstances beyond my control AND the security of the cache location has been severely compromised by the cleanup I believe that the best action at this point is to archive the cache thus opening the possibility of establishing a new cache elsewhere in the reserve. 

Replaced damaged log after copying first four entries to new log. 

Currently disabled while log is being repaired. 

This has now been replaced.
Previous log had 143 entries. 

Temporarily unavailable as it has gone missing - apparently muggled. Currently working on a replacement.

Still in its usual place. 

Successfully solved the first stage and found the field puzzle but my 79-year-old legs had had enough by that stage so abandonded the attempt. Hope to have another try when I have the energy and I now know what I'm dealing with in the field. Thanks Anzac 61 for an interesting puzzle cache. 

Found today (12Oct14). Test details sent via site com system. Have photos but have not found way to send. Awaiting logging appro from CO.
PS: Log now has CO approval after a very prompt response from CO. Thank you Yeetrees.

I went after this one on Sunday, just gone, using method 2. L, M, N, & Y were fairly straight-forward, but I ran into some problems with X, & Z. and I could not find a number set that gave the stated checksum. The coordinates from my first attempt suggested I needed to cross the river!!! Clearly not likely. I abandoned my hunt that day and at home plotted the six other potential positions, that made reasonable sense from the data I had collected, on a map. I returned today for a second try with three likely locations in mind, each of which had two possible hide locations about 4 m apart, but decided to use method 1 since the widmill was open. That got me right on the mark. I then decided to test the XYZ-questions against the known co-ordinates.
It seems probable that the number of murals has changed since the question for X was composed and one needs to use the number of numbered MURAL STATIONS rather than the current number of "numbered murals". The question for Z seems to make poor sense in terms of the known answer -- I believe this should read "How many squares of any one colour are there along each edge of the pattern of squares?" With those changes to the questions, getting the stated check-sum shoud then be a piece-of-cake.

Just noting the fact that the lollipops are down to one only -- and that one is broken!
Also may be worth reading my log for my find today -- a couple of changes may be appropriate.

It's amazing how much rubbish a dedicated group can find even when at a casual glance that place looks relative tidy. Thanks adventure collectors for providing the double opportunity to earn some August rewards.

This was a bonus for the day as I stopped here for lunch while chasing caches for the 7 Souvenirs of August and a check for nearby caches turned up this one. Couldn't leave it when I was oh-so-close!

I've just checked this and found it safe and sound at the currently posted coordinates (which are pretty accurate). This is the second time I've seen it recently. The previous occasion was about ten days ago when I decided to check its new location after previously finding it in its old spot. Not logged then as I did not consider it a new find.
I believe that the 'young muggle' was probably talking in terms of the old hide.
