Greetings from California... found the code word. Will check out puzzle later.

23-May-19
Found this one in 2013, but 3 of our group hadn't been here before so we took a break from the series we were working on and came to this one. There was a rattle snake skin the with the ammo box.

Ragfoot drove ParkerSaru and me over from Fallon, NV to bag this oldie. We had done a number of power trails, reached our goal and decided to come for this oldie. So glad to have found it. Seems like I've tried to make it here a few times, but have had issues with getting time off of work. Nice quick hike before sunset. No bugs. Was thinking this completed my second jasmer, then realized I hadn't yet found anything hidden in September 2018. Actually used my own stamp here.

Thanks for keeping this oldie alive!!! Grabbed 2 TB to move them on.

Working our way from Fallon, NV to Potter's Pond and then to Cedar City for the night. Stopped to find a few caches along the way. Signed logs SDFOC (San Diego Friends Out Caching) - in the group: Ragfoot, ParkerSaru, & RoxieMama.

One of our main goals!!! The oldest in VA. Turned out to be an easy find.

Second full day of our Giga adventure, out with Ragfoot and ParkerSaru. We travelled through VA, DC, and MD. We were mostly looking for the oldest cache in the state, counties, and virtuals.

TB drop

Today on our geo-adventure, we made our way from Denver, CO to Norton, KS via Mingo (GC30). In the group with me were lostcheq, tucker2s, & ParkerSaru. We tried to hit every county and Delorme page in CO (we had the book) and in KS, the counties (via a map) and hopefully many Delorme squares by guessing. We had a great time.

When we got to Mingo, 4 others were there. We spent time talking and taking photos. Then I discovered 2 of them were Team Tierra Buena from Phoenix area. We had emailed each other a few times when I was looking for PHX caches while visiting my daughter. They joined us to find the other local caches and had a blast.

Back to MINGO!!! Yeah! Quite a milestone. Loved the hide type. So glad to have found the oldest active geocache! Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin Thanks so much for keeping this one going! The geocaching community appreciates it.

Visiting my daughter in Phoenix for my belated birthday celebration. I told her that what I wanted to do for my birthday was to find this cache. So even though it was 90+ degrees, we went for a desert walk with ParkerSaru. We found 4 caches before getting to my goal, Geocache (GC57). We probably didn't take the best route in, but we got 4 smilies along that route. There was some bush wacking involved, or perhaps we should say cactus-wacking. This area is beautiful with all the varities of cactus; so many huge suguaros. Many cactus in bloom. Even though it was probably hotter than would be wanted for hiking out here, we enjoyed the sites. Luckily, no snakes or scorpions were spotted. There were tarantula nests everywhere, but no spiders in sight. Saw some rabbits, squirrels/chipmunks, doves, and 1 lizard. Lots of bugs buzzing around too.

When we got to GZ, had to take a few photos. You could easily tell where the treasure was hidden, what a nice spot. Sat on the nearby rock to take pics of some TB with the notebook which showed GC57. This is my 8th cache found that was placed in 2000. STill need 3 months more to finish my Jasmer. Many thanks to the CO for keeping this one alive. It is appreciated greatly by the geocaching community!

Found this about 1.5 hours before the event. Got here early with JM1372 & ParkerSaru. Grabbed the cache before we walked the entire neighborhood. Very enjoyable evening.
T4TC and re-energizing it each holiday season!

Woke up at 12:50am in NW WI this am. Left house at 1:27am, got on hwy at 1:35. Drove to Eau Claire, WI to catch a 3:00 shuttle to MSP for a 7:05 flight. Landed at DFW about 9:15, got luggage and rental car and plugged in coordinates to head up this way. ParkerSaru and I did get waylaid by other caches on the way up, especially in Decatur. Love the old part of that city!!! <3!!!

Parked less than 0.1 miles from cache --- wonder if maybe I shouldn't have driven the rental car on the Forest Service Roads...hmmmm well they weren't that bad. Started on the trail, not bad, but then it did get pretty steep with lose rock when closer to cache. We found our own trail that wasn't so worn. Got to GZ and spotted the cache. Time for a couple photos. Pick out what TB to leave and head off to the next cache.

Thanks for keeping this one alive. I think I've found the 4 oldest in TX this summer.

Many thanks to both Tahosa and Sons & Team Tierra Buena for emails about permits.

Hoping to get this before the end of the year. Other cachers mention a permit and gate lock combination - how do we get that? TIA!

Quick find. T4TC!

The container is wet inside - could use a new log. Sorry - didn't bring any with me this trip to CO.

First time we drove by, there were workers putting up a new fence. We decided not to stop. But we came back and grabbed it about 10 minutes later.

From the car, GPS showed on one side of road. Got out and looked around - found nothing. Had to go back and grab nuvi to discover it wasn't on that side, but the other. Then found it easily.

Vegetable celebrations 2 days in a row?

Found with ParkerSaru. The fence is down - it took us awhile to find this, thought it was MIA at first, but eventually we found it. Blends in well.

Found with ParkerSaru - the lid is broke on the container here.

ParkerSaru and I sauntered to the GZ and found the cache! Then sauntered back to the rental car. Then we sped off!

Looked for about 2 minutes and gave up. Too many possible spots and there are too many other caches to find. Perhaps another trip.

Quick find, then took photo of the furniture that people dumped nearby.

Sometimes you need a little, sometimes you need A LOT of moral support. Thanks for the hide!

log is damp

Not too many people driving by while we were here. Easily made the grab. Then took a photo of the windmill.
