Logs for Schönecacher
08-Jul-16
On my way to the hostel to pick my backpack up I came by this cache and found it quickly. Then I took off to the airport, my last Cache in Australia!! TFTC
After looking at the Description and Logs I pretty much knew where to look. Would have never discovered the nice Art without this cache so thank you very much!

After looking where probably every Cacher first attempts this one I had the right idea! Followed my intuition and eventually kept going back to where I started... I was about to leave to keep exploring the city when I realized it's pouring down. Seeked shelter once more and luckily went further this time. All of the sudden everything made sense and I grabbed the cache quicker than expected.
Thanks for this brilliant idea! If youre lucky like me it's a matter of few minutes but I bet it can be very tough finding this one. The best Melbourne cache I found. Cheers

This beautiful day had to be used for some more exploring of the region and good tramping training. 20km uphill from Sandy Bay to the top of Mt Wellington. A great winter day walk with many photos and caches on the way. Thank you to all the owners for giving me excuses for a break!
Walking through waterworks reserve my path was crossed by several Wallabies and many native birds. The tracks on the Mount were often icy, so be careful in winter! Not many people around at this time of the year but the summit view was as good as it can get!

The answers were quickly collected and I was lucky to hitch a ride home.

On my way to the summit I found many caches, including all the O'Gradys series. No luck with this one unfortunately. Maybe the owner should go up and give it a quick look.

I wasnt sure if going off the track is such a good idea in those conditions. I was lucky, but it was VERY slippery!!

Hitchhiking to Whangarei for the day today, I came across this nice cache. Hadn't visited these "world famous in New Zealand" toilets yet so I walked into Kawakawa to have a look. Great architecture I have seen on much bigger scale in Europe. Still, a very nice project and great information.
On my way back to the jot I got dropped of at the top of the hill. Just right to find one more cache and then walk down to the marina. Thanks for hiding this one and showing that wonderful view!

Staying in Paihia, yesterday we took the ferry over to Russell. We walked through town and the up flagstaff hill, to Waihihi Bay and to Tapeka. Along we found some caches in the rain. Thanks for the hide!

Found this morning when I went for a stroll in the sunrise. What a magnificent view of the sea! No muggles around this early so cache easy to spot and log.
The logbook is full! And the nano container a bit bend so it got stuck opening it.

Had to wait 3 hours to pick up a friend and only thought of looking for a cache in the last minutes. Short walk and a quick grab. Thanks for something to do! Out: Coin

The Intercity from Wellington to New Plymouth stopped here so I had a small break and of course had to find a cache that is this close! Nice live music in the square made this place awesome. The cache was easy to spot but hard to get to with muggles drinking coffee right opposite. Thank you for it!

I'm living a couple of houses away at the moment so there was no way around walking a 100m to get this one. Looked in a few similar spots until eventually one was just the right grab. Really cool idea, liked the "box" although I wasn't sure I had a cache in my hand at first. TFTC!

Nice small Cache on my way around Christchurch. Easy to find and a quick log. What a sad Image of the cathedral now, will be interesting to see how the next years will change the skyline of Christchurch! TFTC
On my first real visit to Christchurch this was my first cache! It as a quick find, not the first time but a cool cache! TFTC

On our day off we decided to go into Wellington. Of course we didnt miss out on the cable car and absolutely loved the view from the top on this sunny summer day! The Cache was simple, could have been hidden better than that. Still, thanks for this beautiful place!
We went to Wellington for the day today and this was my first ever cache in the city. It isn't really a letterbox cache but still a nice easy hide in the center, just off my walk through the city. TFTC
