Logs for StradbrokeScout

27-Apr-13
We found this while on Jedika98's Adventurer level hike but she just realised it was never logged. After remembering the username and password she decided to officially log it.
TFTC we all enjoyed it.
It is now the 13th of July but I put the date in as the date we actually found it.

Found while on a Geocaching Patrol Activity in Black Hill. Not sure of the right way to get to this cache so we just went up and over cross country. We found it well hidden. Good spot, thanks for the cache.

Found while on a Geocaching Partol Activity in Black Hill. Good hiding spot and a good veiw. Thanks for the cache.

Were worried the cache wouldn't be there because of recent burn off. But we went up then down and down some more and found well hidden untouched by fire. Veiw of the Quarry was great. Came up the quick way. Straight up the side of the hill. So much quicker. Thanks for the cache.

Found while on a Geocaching Patrol Activity in Black Hill. Saw a koala in a nearby tree not far from the cache. A good spot, stopped here for lunch. TFTC.

Found while on a Geocaching Patrol activity in Black Hill. Our last find for the day, we had been walking for 4 and half hours and it was getting hot and water was running low. Did the scramble, made the find, signed the log and we headed for home. Thanks for the cache (caches) Team Wibble.

Found it on a quiet afternoon during school holidays. No one about except one cyclist who looked at us with suspicion. TFTC

Out with Team A3 on a caching run when found this one. Nice one really liked it. Thanks for the fun and for the cache.

Yes a quick easy cache. No one about. So quite simple. Thanks

A very quiet day at the Wreck Centre today. Probably due to school holidays. Not a quick find due to the GPS sending us around and around in circles. But eventually a find. Thanks for the cache

16-Mar-12
Stradbroke Scouts were apart of the filming of a bushwalking episode for the children's programme Totally Wild today at Morialta Falls. We had stopped to film the view and while the camera people were deciding on the next shot we noticed on our GPS there was a nano Cache almost exactly where we were standing. So while discussions were still happening we had a quick look around and soon had the cache in hand. YAY!! Big Grin We did a quick sign and had the cache replaced before any more filming had started. We are we experienced cacher's now!!Wink Thanks for the challenge of the cache. Smile

11-Mar-12
Platypus Patrol found this while on the Goolwa Camp. The smoke was gone and the view was great.

Scorpian Patrol found this cache while on a scout camp in Goolwa. The smoke coming from Victoria was so bad we could not see any view. Was there a View?? One geo-scout did a spectatular fall out of a tree while looking but came of it still smiling. Found eventually then back to the car we were glad to get out of the smoke. Thanks for the cache

We really like this cache. A little tricky but we managed to find it. Probably having 4 Geo-scouts looking around on a bridge like we were, looked very suspicious especially to the passing traffic. The view from the top (and finding the cache) really made the walk over worth it. Thanks for the cache this one was fun.

Stradbroke Scouts Platypus Patrol found also while on the Goolwa Camp.

Scorpion Patrol found this also while on camp a Goolwa.

Stradbroke Scouts Playpus Patrol found this Sunday afternoon while on our Goolwa camp. Left a scout badge, Took a monkey.

Stradbroke Scouts Scorpian Patrol found this Sunday morning while staying at the Goolwa Scout Hall.

Scorpion Patrol from Stradbroke found the cache on Sunday while on camp. Great spot for skipping stones.

A very busy spot today. But the Platypus Patrol from Stradbroke scouts still managed to find it. Thanks to Mundoo we really liked this spot and where it was hiding.

Stradbroke Scouts Platypus Patrol found this while on camp at Goolwa. It was the only one we could do on Hindmarsh Island as we ran out of time. This is a realy nice spot and the view from the hut was amazing. Thanks for bringing us to this place. We dropped off our Compass Travel Bug so it can start on it's journey and thanks for the cache.

Stradbroke Scouts Platypus patrol found this Sunday afternoon while on the Goolwa Camp. Still don't kow what the clue means though.

Scorpian Patrol from Stradbroke scouts found this while on the Goolwa camp. Good hiding spot, no muggles.

Stradbroke Scouts Platypus Patrol found this cache while on camp in Goolwa. Had to be careful as very busy with many muggles walking along the path. But we found while pretending to pose for a photo. The clue made perfect sense... after we had found the cache. Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to the spot.

10-Mar-12
Kookaburra Patrol from Stradbroke Scouts found this while on the Goolwa camp.

Stradbroke Scouts Dingo Patrol found this cache while on camp at Goolwa. Thanks for the cache.

Stadbroke Scouts Kookaburra Patrol also found this cache while on the Goolwa Camp. Found it easily no ants anywhere

Stradbroke Scout Dingo Patrol found this first thing Saturday morning while at our three day camp at the Goolwa Scout Hall. Had fun finding it. Thought we had to make a swim for it though as the Co-Ords were showing in the middle of the water. Think we disturbed an ant nest guarding the cache as 1 geo-scout got covered in ants making the retrieval. Thanks for the cache

Stradbroke Scouts Kookaburra Patrol also found this cache. This is a nice spot for a cache.

Stradbroke Scouts Dingo Patrol found it while on camp at Goolwa. Two Geo-scouts thought it would be quicker to swim to this one. So in they went minus their t-shirts and shoes and attempted the swim. The thought of unseen Yabbies nibbling body parts soon had them panicing then swimming faster to get to the other side. Another Geo-scout used her initiative and ran around and just as the swimmers arrived she made the find much to the swimmers dismay. They had crossed for nothing. Log was signed, cache replaced and the swimmers had to return. A fun cache we enjoyed doing this one and the scouts had a good story to tell afterwards. Thanks Fusilid for the cache.

Stradbroke Scouts Kookaburra Patrol found this also thanks to one very tall geoscout!!

Stradbroke Scouts Dingo Patrol found this while on a Camp at Goolwa. Interesting hide, good spot.

07-Aug-11
This one had the Stradbroke Scouts stumped for awhile as it was not what we were looking for. It was still pouring with rain and so there was no muggles to be seen!!! Finnally found it and the spirits of the drenched, rose.

It was a very easy find. In about 5 seconds of arriving, the Stradbroke Scouts had it in their hands and were reading through the logbook. We are all experoenced geocachers now.....

Where o where can this little cache be??????

The bees weren't out as the Stradbroke Scouts looked for the cache in the pouring rain. They finally found it though and were very excited as it was only our third cache!!! We left a kangaroo and took a marble.

The Stradbroke Scouts are stumped.....

After looking around the area for a while the Stradbroke Scouts found it hiding right under their noses. A good hiding spot-we enjoyed this one.

We found the spot as Team A3 were helping the Stradbroke Scouts. The cache however was not there at all and so we think that this needs some serious matenince. Dissapointing......

It was absolutely pelting with rain as the Stradbroke Scouts came across their second cache. It was a great find. Everyone was very excited.

Stradbroke Scouts have started Geocaching and this was our first find.Had some trouble extracting it, lucky it was a very rainy day and we had pointy umbrellas on hand to help. The Scouts were very excited we now know what to look for. Left a green teddy bear key-ring.
