Logs for The Border Reivers

22-Feb-17
Heading back to NC after meeting up with friends from Canada for a couple of days of geocaching in Arkansas. But, before heading east, we wanted to go northward to Mountain Home so we could find Arkansas' oldest cache. This is one of the best done caches we have found; no wonder it has been around so long!!

Thanks ednormandy for keeping this one going. We took one TB and left two; also left 2 pence.

Geocaching on a party boat full of cachers representing 6 states. Fun group to find this very significant cache with; beautiful day for collecting smilies Smile

Up in northern Virginia to do some geocaching. It was a beautiful morning for hiking and caching in the park. This was the second one we found and the hardest. The GPS bounced a lot and there were a multitude of potential hiding places all buried in leaves. Checking the other logs, we found a hint which led to our finding the cache. We left two pence, a Border Reivers card, and a yellow geocaching trivia band. Greetings from North Carolina.

We enjoyed our visit to Tulum. Our tour guide, Juan, was a native speaker of the Mayan language. He translated "thanks for the cache" Yum botic tesh, which means, "thanks for the journey".

Can't get picture to load will do it when we get home.

After a visit to the National Gallery of Art we decided to go look for this virtual. Got a closer look at the Capitol on the way. Cool virtual cache. Nice place to have a seat and rest awhile. TFTC

Nice cache; we like finding caches at these kind of locations. Dropped a trackable that we picked up from the Mingo cache.

We were "counting" on going to the MMA during this visit to NYC and "added" this virtual to our must-do list. The museum was fabulous and the cache was fun...even if we couldn't get the same number twice Sad

Thanks for the virtual. Answer has been emailed to CO.

Yipee, we found Mingo. It is a long drive from North Carolina. It was a warm August day, the corn is looking good. A muggle was cutting grass at the exit nearby. We left two pence, and two TBs. We also picked up two travelers. We did a little CITO for this famous cache. Now we are headed back east. TFTC.
