Logs for The Inkwell

What an honor it is to find this old cache! Started the morning in Berlin and made the long, long drive to this part of Belgium in order to search for this one. We've been in Europe on holiday for close to 3 weeks now and have seen many amazing sights along the way.

We absolutely loved the setting here; small towns seemingly out of a fable, with rolling hills and farmlands all around. We made the short hike to the cache and found it no problem. On this trip we have found 5 caches that were placed in Europe in the year 2000. We only have the cache in Scotland left to find.

Thanks for keeping this one going. An amazing find this was!! Greetings from USA!

Woo hoo!!! Made the short drive out of city center to go after this amazingly old cache. Found parking nearby and began our hike up the hill and through the forest. Things were a little damp and we spotted many ants on the trail. Eventually, we made our way to GZ after hiking up and over some large rocks. The cache was spotted and the log was signed. Thank you for placing this cache oh so long ago and for keeping it going all of these years! We always seek out old caches during our travels so of course we had to go after this one. Greetings from The USA and TFTC! Grabbed a TB.

When I finally get around to penning the chronicles of our caching adventures of the past 13 years, the tales of this day will be one of my most favorite to compose. A couple of months ago, we had an idea to load up our kayaks and head south on a geo-roadtrip that would help us fill in the last two slots we needed to complete our Jasmer Challenge. We've been talking about it for years now and it finally seemed like the time to go. So we planned the trip from Buffalo, NY to Helen, GA, which would be our home base for a few days of cache craziness in the area.

Today will go down as one of our favorite caching days of all time. We've found many, many (hundreds) of paddle caches over the years, but today was just different. Be it the beautiful scenery around us, the wildlife everywhere we looked, the joy of spending an epic day on the water with my best friend in the world and love of my life, Mrs. Inkwell or the fact that we were finally putting to rest a challenge that we had been seriously working on for years, today was just magical. It felt like we were the only people on this vast lake today.

We launched from the north and stopped for a few caches along the way before paddling around to this side of the island and beaching our boats. The sands underfoot once we were ashore were pristine and we both commented that this beach was very nice and we would definitely spent time here if we lived in the area. After a hike uphill, we had the cache in hand. We snapped some photos, traded trackables and I let out a celebratory "Yeah", as we found the last cache we needed for our Jasmer Challenge. It was so cool to find this cache, as these are the types of caches that we absolutely adore and this one reminded us of why we fell in love with the hobby in the first place. What an absolute adventure today turned out to be!! Once back to the boats, we celebrated with peanut butter sandwiches and rested for a bit before making the paddle over to WWWUSA - Lake Lanier, Georgia.

Thanks so much for keeping this one going. We had an amazing time today. Favorite point added, of course.

Awesome container! An easy find after work this evening. Mrs. Inkwell needs some new spin bike shows so we will have to come back when you're open. Left a TB. Tftc!

We always enjoy seeking out older caches when we are out of town. We were thrilled that this one was so close to where we were staying. We had a great time doing a few of the caches in the park. Thanks for keeping this one going. We dropped off a TB.
