Down in Orlando for the day to visit my sister, who is doing the Disney College Program. She is living her best life working the Buzz Lightyear ride at Magic Kingdom. Even better (for me!), she gets a free guest pass to the parks every two weeks. Took off from work today, scored a cheap flight deal on Frontier, and came down with a plan to hit all four parks and visit her favorite rides.

First park of the day was EPCOT. Rode Soarin', Spaceship Earth's A few sudden downpours here and there couldn't deter us from having a good time, nor me from nabbing the two virtual caches that are here. Tftc.

I am so, so far behind on logging my finds it's not even funny. To be replaced by a write-up, eventually. Tftc.

Enjoying the second day of my long weekend exploring the Finger Lakes region. This was my main goal for the day. With the weather forecast looking favorable, I was determined to make my long-awaited pilgrimage to the oldest geocache on the East Coast and see the famous, supposedly sacred Spot for myself.

Arrived at the upper parking lot shortly after 2 pm. The hike down was easy enough; took 15-20 minutes. Was a bit surprised to spot the cache immediately--i guess this area doesn't see many malicious muggles passing through. Signed the log and spent a few minutes looking through the contents this cache has accumulated over its first 20 years.

As I did so, two more visitors hiked down the slope to me. Nice to meet jrjones and his muggle wife here. Put the cache back together for them and prepared for the slightly more difficult ascent back to my car. Another amazing caching milestone down. Thanks for placing this cache all those years ago, and maintaining it for me to find today.

In DC today for a little caching on the first of my $0 Megabus trips scored on Black Friday Got up at 5.30 this morning to catch my bus and arrived at Union Station five hours later ready for seven hours of exploring our nation's capital and its environs. After two quick lab adventure stops, this was my first cache right outside the Metro stop to take me to Alexandria. Love this area in Philly near my workplace, nice to see it's counterpart here. Answers sent. Tftc.

This weekend, my family was supposed to go down to D.C., though due to unforeseen circumstances it ended up just being my father and I for Friday and Saturday only. Still, we had a great time walking around the National Mall on Friday night and Arlington National Cemetery Saturday. This morning we set out for the National Zoo, but unfortunately it was virtually impossible to find parking. So, instead, we stopped at a few places in north DC before heading to Arlington National Cemetery. It was a gorgeous day to walk around and pay our respects to so many who sacrificed everything for this country. Wanted to grab the oldest cache in Virginia before heading home. My dad parked outside the park while I hiked in to avoid paying the $10 fee for 5 minutes of park usage. Quick find. Tftc.

I have the privilege to spend the next two weeks in Oxford as a Logos Fellow. Today was the last day of the program, and after the last dinner I took a circuitous route back and grabbed a few final caches. Tftc.
