Out caching with buddy Omiwahn. I had not even heard of Coombe Hill, but Omiwahn had done his homework, and there were some interesting caches to find, as well as a CITO event to attend, so all in all, a busy day.
A very popular area. The sun came out, and by the time that we arrived, just after 11am, the car park was busy, and the monument a popular spot for photographs.
We took in the view, accumulated the information, we needed, and enjoyed the sunshine up here today.
Answers accepted by C.O.....thank you. A favourite point from me.

A day caching in Coombe Hill, with Buddy, Omiwahn. He had completed his homework, and knew exactly what we wanted. Me.....had never even heard of Coombe Hill, and I had even left my GPS at home. My excuse, was that I was a bit under the weather today, with a cold and sore throat, but of course still ready to embrace the good things in life, like Geocaching Wink
We sorted the info, at a very busy monument. We both did our Maths, then compared answers. A matching pair....so off we set, down, down, down. The only problem was that we would have to get back up, up up!!
Lovely sized box located.Log signed. T.B. dropped. Now, feeling like the big bad wolf, we huffed, and we puffed, all the way back to the top again! TFTC

Caching today with buddy, Omiwahn, in this beautiful neck of the woods. As well as picking up an assortment of caches, we also took part in an impromptu CITO event.
We met some ramblers here, who told us about their caching friend who had just passed away, just before he made his 10,000 find. We discussed caching with them. Shame they did not know their friends caching name. Signed log. TFTC

Out at Coombe Hill with caching buddy Omiwahn. Got involved in impromptu Cito event while here so an interesting day all in all. Tftc

Caching today with pal Omiwahn. Tried this as soon as we arrived, but GPS was all over the place, so we decided to save it to the end.
Came back after CITO event, and had enlisted some help. Cache soon found. TFTC

My caching pal, Omiwahn, suggested a trip to Coombe Hill today. I can't say I have ever heard of it, but was intrigued to hear I would find the oldest cache,in UK, so a definite "thumbs up," from me.
Arrived around 11.30pm, and there was already a full car park, and lots of people at the monument. A sign that the sun must be out to stay.
We made our way down, only stopping to take in the views, and to take a photograph. Who would guess that there is a lovely big cache hidden in that tree?
Dropped off a T.B. which I picked up yesterday, which is in a race. Signed log book, then back up the hill, to find the info at the earth cache.
A favourite point just for bringing me here. TFTC

Caching today, with buddy Omiwahn. He pushed his way in here, and the cache was quickly found. TFTC
