first cache in long long time.
daughter was over at gym so I thought I might see if any caches around. Sure enough this one was only 200 meters from my car.
I did have to use the hint though so It was in a good spot.
I have taken the travel bug and will place in another cache soon
Thanks

First Cache for the year and so far from home. Up this way with our good friends Thomo Hawks having a holiday at Dongara. Came up her for a look at these huge wind powered generators. Very impressive. well worth a look. Found Cache no problems left an assortment of junk as one of my kids wanted the snakes & ladders game and I didn't have anything very good to put back in. Next time I come up this way I will bring something good to put in it. Thanks for this cache other wise I wouldn't have seen these windmills.

Had to take young trover to a movie up here so good chance for some quick pick ups long way from home. Easy find as not hidden very well.

Sir paddyk you have done it again. I lay down my sheild and sword to you as king cache man. Lady Thommo Hawk and I mounted our war horses and headed off to find the Sword of Deur. Way point one was found by the Mighty Treasure Trover. I could see the green in the eyes of Lady Thommo Hawk. Off we charged to wp2 our steeds found the terrain getting quite thick but on we charged in this our Dragon Quest.Again the ultra sharp eyes of the Treasure Trover were no match to the faiding eye sight of The ever aging Lady Thommo Hawk (Another year older today) I had just removed the mighty sword from out of the Dragon stone when I noticed the skys becoming dark with storm clouds rising on the horizon. I had stired the mighty daughter of King Draco and was cut down in my prime. A new dragon war was unleashed. Curse you dragons..... Oh yea we found the cache too. Thanks paddy. keep up the good work.

3rd time lucky! Last time I came here( May )I searched every where and was sure it must have been taken by a huge storm we had. Driving by after work with time to spare, thought I would give it a go today and bingo found it. another monkey off my back.

Have ridden past this one heaps of times but decided to come in by car and do a walk for a change. I was lucky that no one was at wp1 It would be frustrating to find people using it. Found all the wp's and the cache but someone has needed to do a number 2 and has done it right next to the cache so if you are a bit squeemish I would leave this one for a while.

Easy find although getting the container was tricky as bees are making a hive right next to it. I grabed the cache and by the time I had filled out a disk, bees had got into the hole where the container came out of. So I droped it into the hole and ran. Treasure trover 1. bees 0

Another top cache by paddyk. This follow up from Lost Treasure Trove was brilliant. I arrived at the suggested parking spot at 6am only to find the car belonging to the Thommo Hawks there. I caught up with her at wp1 and we found wp2 together. we then headed off to get wp3 but couldn't find it. Thommo Hawk had to go to work ( Ha ) So I sat in the car and did some re-calculation. I went back to wp2, Silly me had miss read the clue wrong. wasn't long untill I had found Jon. The mistake I had made before at wp2 had us looking about 20m from this spot. Found Cache no probs but came under attack from angry magpie, Making it very hard to fill in log book. Took the last card for the hidden treasure, (bet Thommo Hawks are not happy) and dug up my deserved treasure, living up to my name THE TREASURE TROVERS. Left a nifty miny torch. Thank you very much PaddyK

Tricky one! We had a good look at where we thought it should be but found nothing. I then started to think that it might be a trick and went and had a look on top. Lady Thommo Hawk wanted nothing of that and continuied looking as first location. I thought I had come up trumps when I found a hidden container. only to be let down when I found it was a dummy cache. When I went back to see how Thommo hawk was doing she had found it. (bugger) I just had enough time to put in Father of the year TB when muggles got to close so I didn;t get to put much in the log.
Top location kids thought it was great.

Bugs Bugs Bugs For some reason this place was swarming with sand flies and mozzies. If you are going to do this one in the early morning or evening I would recomend that you put some spray on. Apart from that this is one of those spots that you would never have seen if it wasn't for Geocache I have driven past this spot many times. The hunt was good, Many places to hide the cache and lots of tree coverage I like it with a bit of a challenge. It took about 30 min to find and it was full of goodies. I just couldn't stay to look through it because the mozzies were draining off my blood. I quickly signed the log book did a swap and was out of there.

Good spot but you have to watch out for muggles. I saw this had the father of the year bug in it. So good excuse to hop on the bike and pick up a couple of caches. I had planned to go to 8 caches but ran out of time and got 4 today.
Took: Stickers

Muggles muggles every where. This is very straight forward if you read the clues you don't even need a gps. The hard part is getting to the cache with out letting any one see you.

After thinking about this one all night and sitting down and sorting out the numbers we checked our results and decided we were in the right spot. Thommo Hawk, Young Treasure Trover and I Headed off in the afternoon to have another look after about 15 min of looking at the trees in the same area I went back to a tree we had both looked at the day before. There it was, What the! How could I have not seen it yesterday Both of us had looked at that tree yesterday and we did not see it yet it is so obvious. Headed off to W.P 3 and found cache.

All in all this was a great cache the clues were spot on and it made us have to think. Thanks for the fun.

Driving passed and gps showed this not to far from road. A quick sprint into the bush and a 15 min search and I found the said container. A bit wet so I dried it out.

By the look of the clues I thought two heads would be better than one for this cache. So I teamed up with Lady Thommo Hawk. We found the sign and worked out W.P 2 no problems. Almost came unstuck but thommo hawk saved the day with her hawk like eyes, We had found the needed numbers. out with the calculator and off we went. Wrong direction though re calculated and off we go again. again we had made a mistake and came to a dead end. Re calculated ,third time lucky we hoped. This led us into the bush but after two mistakes and bits of paper with numbers everywhere some crossed out some underlined others circled we wern't sure we were in the right place. Had a good look around but were running out of time. Couldn't find any sign of a metal tag. Decided to call it a day and have a look at our calculations again later on. We will be back!!!!

Sunny day after a week of not to good weather so nice day to try for the few caches in this area. I have spent a lot of time in this area riding my mountain bike as I used to live close to here. We parked at the bottom of turner rd and walked up the old road that has a sign saying no entry. I don't think it meant us. Good walk up the road, Thought we might have to jump a fence as the gps was pointing 90° to the road. but there is a entry point to a track that leads right up to the cache. very steep though so we understand why they call it huff & puff.
First cache I have come across that didn't have a pen or pencil so if you are going out to this one please take a pencil to put in it.
took: small ball.

Top of the hill??? This aint top of the hill I talked Thommo hawk into following me as I knew where the top of the hill is around here and I thought with a name like Top of the hill it was bound to be up there. Boy did she rub it in when we had to cut through thick scrub to get back on track.
TNLN
I might have to put a cache at the real top of the hill.

Last of three for the day. Found them all so it's been a good day at that. Very steep hill. I would have liked to have had my binoculars with me. It has been rainning all week so it was very muddy and every tree was black from the fire it was very hard to stay clean and my friend Thommo Hawk had to have a clean up before I would let her back in the car. I am sure she had grabbed onto every black tree we passed.

Cold wet and windy. Fellow geocacher has just got a new gps and wanted to try it out. We picked this one as it was on the way to a new cache (Les Demon Gris) and as I have never been a first finder I thought a bit of bad weather would not stop us.

My first, First finder certificate. We (lady thommo Hawk) and I braved the wintery elements to be the first to do this cache. We even found the geomutts lead. The first two waypoints were not obvious but with a bit of looking in, under and around we found them. With me finding the first one and lady thommo Hawk finding the second there was a bit of tension as to who would find the Cache first. The Treasure Trovers were victorious with the Lady Thommo Hawk humbly accepting defeat. In your face......Lady Thommo Hawk

Rachel (Tommo Hawks) and I decided this would be a good late afternoon walk. So we parked our car out by the gate so we didn't have to rush back before 5pm Found the Cache straight away. Bright blue box not hidden too well from last find but great spot to have it though. The view from up here is fantastic.

Thanks for the great cache. What a view and a tough hill climb. We had a nice day for it. Sunny but not very warm and it was towards the end of the afternoon. I would not recommend going into the old cave as the roof is very soft and looks like it could collapse at any moment.
We let off one of the party poppers we found in the cache. my young boy thought that was great fun.

For some reason I have not logged this one in after I finished it. I can't even remember the date. It would be early september. We teamed up with some friends who are now the Thommo Hawks. They enjoyed the hunt and have got themselves a gps. We found the first waypoint quiet easly, but had a bit of trouble locating the second, the high rock wall played up with the gps a bit and had me climbing up part of the wall and then sent me into the long reeds near the waters edge. We persisted and eventually found it. cant remember what we took or left as the kids did that
Thanks for a good cache in a nice location.

Great cache. Almost did my head in. Went for a look on Friday by myself, was not sure about leaving my car in that spooky park. Short ride to cache but do you think I could find it. Had to give up as it was getting late. Went back on Sunday with a friend Spent another hour looking under every blackboy in the area. About to give in again when I found the right one. What a relief to find it.

Took the young Treasure Trovers, Ashleigh and Josh with me on this one and they thought It was great. It was a bit nerve racking trying to carry a 5 year old over the stepping stones, and the mud. as she had to wear her good white shoes didn't she... But we found the Cache and got out of there without any wet feet.

Took a friend for a ride to this Cache. First time he has been in the bush on a mountain bike. We came in from Churchman Brook Rd. There is a car park at the end of Beeloo rd. He liked the downhill part, but nearly killed him having to push his bike back up the hill. I have ridden right past this Cache dozens of times and never knew it was there. What a beautiful view from the park bench. Great location.

Rode here in the pouring rain, But what fun. It's been ages since I went for a ride in heavy rain and forgot how nice the bush looks, and smells after a good soaking.
The Cache is in a great spot. Not too close to a main track but easy enough to find.

Went back to this one as I have not had a travel bug before and got it. Now I have to find something to do with it.and find a good cache to put it in. Didn't write in the log book as it was raining and I was soaked and didn't want to wreck the book.

This is the first cache I have tried to find. I don't have a GPS yet, so I had to work out the location by a map. I live close and rode in on my mountain bike. Took a while to find but after about 30 minutes I found it. Thanks
