I came to check out Taylor’s shaft (the newer one) as my great, great grandfather, William Barnes, and his brother, Victor Barnes, both died in Taylor’s shaft in separate accidents within the same year. Thought I’d check for geocaches on the way. Was not disappointed!

Found the cache open in the middle of the path. We tidied it up and restored it to where we think it came from. Look for an upright triangle of rocks.
Great little treasures inside, my niece took a butterfly and it was her first geocache treasure experience. She loved the butterfly! I left an erasable Dino pen and a hair tie so that the cache was ready to go. I took a path tag. My first one!
