Completing my first challenge in the lead up to the Tauranga Moana Tauranga Tangata festival. Beautiful walk and wasn’t to hard for the babies to walk it either.

Found the cache relatively easily.
Log was a bit wet but still managed to sign it

YES!!!! FOUND IT!!!! Our first attempt was a total fail, looking in completely the wrong spot (however the water was fun to kick around in especially with such a hot day)
Went further up the road to find the other caches but returned to this on the way home as my stubbornness wouldn’t let me leave without a find. So satisfied now haha

Second try at finding this one and located it pretty easy which made us just feel lame that we didn’t find it first time round lol

Managed to spot this one from quite far away, but had to wait for them pesky muggles to pass

This is the cache I spotted quite easily and it wasn’t really concealed, still a nice quick find though

Son and I were getting pretty competitive by this point on who could find the cache first, I won!! 

Nice easy find.
Log book is full and just a heads up there is sign everywhere of rabbits digging. 

Second time back here and still no luck. Gutted as it’s broken out streak today

Second visit to this one and managed to find it pretty quick and another “Why couldnt we find it last time?!! ”. Was so satisfying to tick it off as a Found!!

Parent interviews for the kids today so thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get some caching done!
Hadn’t been in the area since Xmas so was nice to see how the season changed the scenery. Was stunning spring weather!!

Good little find especially having two fail to find’s in the area.

We weren’t actually out caching today. My husband set the net last night in hopes of finding a fish (unfortunately no luck but a TON of pāpaka ).
We also had my daughters friend staying with us this weekend.
We decided to re-set the near on the river and try again.
So we threw all 5 kids into the truck and off we went. I was distracted by the amazing weather we are having and took way too long into the day to check for caches
Anyways eventually occurred to me to check my phone and found this ripper of a cache!!
Made xtra special because it was our xtra babies first eva cache!!

Really cleverly done and intuitive!!

First find of the school holidays on the first time day!! Awsome little find with a stunning view!
We had a friend with us today and it was his first cache experience and he was the one that found the hint, I think he’s hooked now hahaha

Good morning to find something, TYFTC 

Cool little find, unfortunately the parking area looked like a dumping ground so we did a bit of a rubbish collection while there. TYFTC 

Had breakfast with a friend and the kids decided to show her what geocaching is all about so this was a awsome first one for our friend!! TYFTC 

Out for a family bike cache mission before the kids go back to school tommorow. Awsome little cache! TYFTC 

3rd cache of today!! Kids are loving it. Forgot my pen so couldn’t sign log 

Awsome!!! Another different find for the kids, trying to teach them and get them to look at things differently. Was a good lesson in types of cache for them. couldn’t sign the log as mum forgot the pen TYFTC 

Quick visit to the park so kids can burn the sugar off from the donuts. This was a good little find and ended with no arguments. WINNING!!!

My son finally found his first cache (thank god, after whining he couldn’t find one) awsome quick find. TFTC 

Convenient location for us. Awsome cache, first one of this type of hide we have found. Blew the kids mind hahaha Hubby was amazed too lol #NewbieFeels 

Couldn’t find the cache today. There was a lovely fellow mum at the park that knew what we were doing and jumped in to try and help us find it but had no luck either. Hopefully we just couldn’t find it and it hasn’t been muggled 

Just wanted to write a quick note. As my family and I have only just discovered and learnt about geocaching we were unaware about the covid-19 restrictions currently in place regarding caching.
I just want to apologise for any discomfort our actions may cause and reassure everyone that my family and I have followed restriction and bubble rules strictly, haven’t traveled or been in contact with someone who has traveled, have no symptoms of illness, we followed hand washing/disinfecting hygiene practices while finding this cache.
Apologies for this oversight and we will now be waiting until we are in level 2 to go out again.

This was our first ever cache find for our family and bonus it’s just down the road from our house.
