Logs for ZL2UJS

02-Aug-22
Logging continues in the area and the trails needed to access the cache are not being reinstated. Disappointed, but need to archive

26-Apr-22
Cache is currently in a logging zone. No access April 2022. Will update when OK again.

10-Nov-13
Nice area, but no coins or tradables in the container. Left a toy in the hope that it will get started again. Thanks

Searched high and low but couldn't find it. Will try again next time we are in the area

Thanks for the cache, lovely view from here

Great wee spot for the cache, thanks

Found again, with a group of new caters. Thanks for the cache

10-Oct-13
Great wee cache, thanks.

26-Oct-12
I was the 3rd set of eyes and found it. Not what I was expecting, but actually very obvious

23-Oct-12
A great stopping place. Interesting memorial

21-Oct-12
Found after the Cyclic Navigator prologue, a MTB event in your lovely forest

03-Oct-12
Cache is again accessible by foot or bike, on one of the remaining MTB tracks in the area. The council has completed their destruction of the forest and a lot of the easy MTB tracks to make way for a future cemetery.

08-May-12
Rock-It (Taranaki) was transferred from Jacqui ZL2UJS to user ZL2UJS

01-May-12
This cache is inaccessible at the moment as the Council have closed the access road while tree fellers do their damage. The area around the cache is still good, it's just the access to it that is not.

05-Mar-12
[Only read if you want the dead give away hint:] Follow the trail of the stitchbird (hihi!!!)

With 5 KOPACers on a cycle ride. Clever cache, enjoyed the hunt, the nice views and final location

With 4 KOPACers on cycel ride. Another hill to climb, another good cache found. Thanks

With 4 KOPACers on cycle ride. Have looked before and not found. Got it sorted this time (interpreted the clue properly!). Thanks

Ah haa, very clever. Enjoyed the hunt. Found with 4 KOPACers on cycle ride.

With 4 KOPACers on cycle ride. This is the 6th cache today and the only one to elude us. Vegeation has been cleaned up, not sure if the cache has been muggled. Will try again when it stops raining

With 4 KOPACers on cycle ride. Love this great wee spot. Great history too.

Great spot. Took nothing, but added Travel Bug 'Legolas'. Taken from Lord of the Rings country at Poolburn (Central Otago) and delivered here to Samurai country. Can you take him to another movie site?

16-Mar-06
Cycling Rail Trail and Dunstan Trail. Picked this one off near the end of 4 great days. Didn't know there was another of these engineering marvels round here. No swaps

15-Mar-06
Cycled up the Dunstan Trail from Patearoa to get this one. Steep climb in parts, but what awesome views. Camped out near the cache site. Left carabiner, taking TB Legolas to Samurai country in Taranaki once cycling holiday completed. Photo of Legolas leaving Burning Barn added 03/04/06

Found on the way between Rail Trail and Dunstan Trail by cycle. Bit of a hill, but the view was great. Thanks for the history lesson too. Leak not in evidence now, but that may be because it's so dry at the moment. Nice road, but was extra busy with dog triallers racing to their event.

Cycling the Rail Trail and Dunstan Trail. Found this along the way. Loved the fish ladder under the nearby bridge
