The signage at the park clearly states that visitors are required to stay on the paths; finding this cache requires going over the fencing that has been put up to keep people on the trail. I did not see anything in the cache description about permission being provided to go off-trail.

After tramping through the desert we moved into "town" for this find. Quick find, thanks.

This was a quick in and out procedure. On the way here, we passed some line workers pulling cables, accompanied by 2 police cruiser: one from East Greenwich, and the entire West Greenwich police force.

Aerial and I enjoyed a lovely day making the full loop around Burke Lake. It is always cool to find such historic caches. We didn't even realize how old this was until we were right on top of it! Thanks for the caches and the day of fun & greetings from Rhode Island!
