Thanks, this was fun! After scrambling over rocks for a while the kids got hungry ... so we had a picnic in the ruins and then came back for another look and found it shortly after that. 

We searched first a similar tree and then found the right one after backtracking! Thanks to previous geocachers there was room to write on new paper, but it was damp. The container I think needs repair/ replacing as it is no longer water tight.

Very cool to find a geocache in a place we walk by nearly every day! Thanks for the story/ memories shared - it captured my children's imagination.
