Logs for cellardoor

Came from the Finger Lakes of NY to retrieve this one to add to our oldest state cache list. I didn’t find the herd path on the way in so fought through the briars and the brambles and the bushes where a rabbit couldn’t go. But made it to GZ and had an easier way back our. Mud and bushwhack are worth it for such a distinguished cache. Thanks to the COs for keeping it up all these years and an early Happy Birthday! TFTC!

I thought I’d publish a note about driving into this cache. Because I couldn’t find any information on the DEC website about South Hill Road, I brought my 4WD high clearance vehicle. It turns out that in dry weather like today I didn’t have any trouble. If you have any concerns, approaching the parking area from the south means only a few hundred yards of seasonal road while approaching from the north requires about a few miles of seasonal road.

Was expecting some terribly tough hike but really no big deal. When you do a google search and find two different newspaper article about geocachers being rescued by the ropes squad it makes you wonder. Great spot. Lets us fill in another 2000 find month. Now the team has the oldest caches in NY and MA. TNLN. TFTC!

Quick find after a bagel at Bagel:Bagel. It hasn't rained in at least half an hour, a new record for my time here.

Quick find, glad I came back to see the rest of the area. Thanks!

Saw these on my walk to the mini dealer and knew there'd be a cache nearby. Glad I was right! Spotted the location easily as I walked up. Thanks! Log is damp and dirty but I managed to leave a mark.
