13-Sep-10
Had a good laugh at Barbie! it was very exposed so covered it up a bit better, took travel bug and flipper keyring, left a badge. TYFTC!

30-Aug-10
Initial contents:
badge
utility knife
can opener
staple remover
glue stick
cocktail parasols
log and pen in a clear plastic container

21-May-06
Made available again on strength of last finder's finding!

02-May-06
It appears the muggles have removed it and I will be unable to replace it for some months.

14-Jul-05
It will be a couple of weeks before I can repair the cache.

02-May-05
Alas after 45 minutes and 3 of us searching we could not find it and fear it has been trashed. Sad

We had a wonderful day and would never have visited the area otherwise, what awesome scenery!

Anyone intending to visit the area I can highly recommend our driver Wayan who speaks excellent English (and a great sense of humour) is very reasonably priced and grew up in the area:

Lake Matilda is common ground and a popular public bird watching spot. Glad you enjoyed it! Smile

28-Mar-05
Phil and Sigrid...Thanks the coords are off and will get corrected by the reviewer. I at first blamed friends who had been to the tower with the gps in tow but it was I who logged the incorrect coords. All coords in the future will be triple checked, my apologies for the confusion.

09-Mar-05
Great cache...would never have known the cave was there. A torch is a must, we didn't venture in too far as it is pretty fragile in places but what a great experience!

Took tennis ball and left a Kiss Our Aces keyring.

23-Feb-05
Yes! Well hidden...took us around 20 mins and some head scratching before Dad proudly declared "found it!"

Took the swivel clip thing and left a koala fridge magnet and a Kiss Our Aces keyring (the last one ended up on Ebay I wonder how this one will fare?)

13-Feb-05
First cacher there since Sept 04! TN left koala fridge magnet! The site has changed a lot since I was last there and the boardwalk is a great touch to the Lake.

I did email to verify and never heard back so gonna log it anyway. It was pouring very heavily so no climbing for me!

A while since I had been to Bunbury and next time will take a few caches to place as was suprised to find not too many in the area and need to return to log the ones I had no time to visit!

Good virtual!

11-Feb-05
An enjoyable walk and walked right past it so we had to backtrack a little!

Took travel tissues left a koala fridge magnet.

09-Feb-05
Hmmmm messed around a bit late and all I get is an error on the cam...mt wife got a black screengrab! Oh well, will maybe try next visit to the city.

A good one! An easy find (I must be getting better)!

Wrote in the log took N and left a kiss our aces gold token only to return home to find it was still in my pocket! OOPS!

08-Feb-05
A very pleasant find, we had to do a bit of headscratching for a few mins at ground zero.

07-Feb-05
Coords now corrected...my apologies!

06-Feb-05
Getting co-ords corrected by reviewer.

03-Feb-05
A nice walk! Was a pretty damn hot day though. We were almost standing on top of it for a while. Took nothing left a solar battery charger. Will post a pic of Dad examining the contents. Smile

02-Feb-05
I was unable to replace the container due to time constraints, gradually getting a caching first aid kit together for this sort of situation. As a newbie have found damp to be the main problem.

01-Feb-05
Again...had no notes for this and would have replaced the container, very damp due to someone using a pen or other long object (as I did) to get it out, and breaking it, as it is a very tight fit. Not possible to leave a note due to damp and muggle factors. Hope to return tomorrow and replace the container. Learn something new everyday (like how to make the gps look like a mobile and talk to it).

Will post a note ASAP on the replacement status as I have measured the original and a supradyn/berocca type container should work well.

What an enjoyable virtual and a change from the scrub bashing! Smile I forgot my digital camera lead so am unable to download into the laptop and will upload my gps pic on my return home.

We got the first question wrong and the rest right, Aushiker graciously let us log the find anyway...My Dad is now definitely hooked!

The wombat was tempting...should be a TB. Smile
Took the shower sponge and left a pressure gauge. Co-ords spot on..was beginning to worry about the sportrak...

Nearly made the 76 year old tow-along (my dad, who is hooked) climb a tree for a peek but luckily the gps re-tracked in time...he was going to do it too!

Possibly the oldest geo-cacher out there and will have to upload a pic!

The walk was informative and enjoyable...been past many times and if not for this sport would never have stopped and missed a great experience.

Found without notes or would have replaced the plastic bag, hopefully next finder will, although the container looks water tight have seen a few lately that defy the law of raindrops falling near vertically.

My dad (bi-focals and 76) found this one (a little push and he would have been IN the running water) and it made his day! We took nothing and left the Kiss Our Aces poker keyring (should I tell the story behind that? Not sure where though).

Sent an email for verification. What a view! My sister, a long time resident of the area and who works very CLOSE by had never seen the spot and I would never have either...thanks for a top virtual and 4 members from 3 generations of my family had the pleasure too!

31-Jan-05
Found at 11.10am on our way to Perth, my dad, at a sprightly 76, is as hooked as I am! Looking foward to logging some more as caches are rather sparse (I intend to rectify that) in our neck of the woods.

We took the sunblock as the sun was intense and left a limited edition Kiss Our Aces poker keyring.

Found it at 6.20 pm...muggles were a problem, me and 76 year old dad ducking and hiding from swift and near silent cyclists! Perhaps another 5m in?

My gps went a bit wonky and took us a little longer than expected and was reading 7m out at ground zero.

Left a Kiss Our Aces poker keyring and took a tea tree silver spoon.

[Finally figured how to drop the TB thanks to SmokyBear for putting up with the trouble! Wink

We also found on coming out from the cache that it is possibly easier going by following the vehicle track right to the top of the hill past the big fallen tree (this is no longer across the track but to the side of it).]

Here you come to a t junction and if you leave your vehicle here a short walk left and up takes you to to a radio tower and a possible better starting point as you will be navigating downhill.

17-Jan-05
We found the cache with some difficulty, very thick bush and well hidden but the co-ords were spot on...then got home to find it temporarily disabled. If this is to be permanent please let me know as I left someone's travel bug there from the treetop walk cache and will retrieve it if necessary.

Even my 76 year old dad insisted on seeing this one!

Notebook was very damp and gave it a little bit of sunshine for 10 mins or so. Placed it in the zip lock containing Eura and placed the notebook, pencil and pen in there...would have left a spare dry notebook if I had one with me...next geocacher?

Eura moved on with us. Good cache and we had great fun as newbies! Left a metal and embossed poker card protector we had made for our website and would make a nice keyring for non poker players.

*Note to self...start carying spare zip lock bags and notebooks, not just pens. * Smile

07-Jan-05
This was not a burn off by CALM, they are not done at this time of year. Unfortunately a bushfire got out of control near Manypeaks and a backburn had to be initiated by CALM as this area is pretty special. The camping area had to be evacuated also.

Sorry this happened to you! This is my first cache and can't wait for someone to find it!

15-Dec-04
I figured the first cache we would find should appropriately be the first laid in WA. Thoroughly enjoyed the hunt! Took a pen and left an American Quarter. My dad and my wife had a great time too.
