Spent a while wandering around trying to find correct access to the field but once that was out of the way working out the final and locating the cache was easy.

Easy when you know what you're looking for (great little containers these) and have the right clue for the right cache!

To be honest I've no patience for micros in ivy and didn't spend much time searching once the obvious spots were covered. I've spent too many hours previously searching without success on other similar caches Smile

It's amazing the difference when you actually go to the right cache!

Easy find really in a lovely spot.

Very frustrating visit here today Sad

I have been saving this cache for a special day and figured 700 was a suitable milestone to mark.

A lovely walk out and easy access across the rocks despite it being high tide. Got to GZ and immediately spotted that there were hundreds of possible locations.

Despite a fingertip search of the whole rocky outcrop, up and down, phoning a previous finder and analysing photos on older logs I still couldn't find it after an hour of searching and was forced to give up to log a DNF instead of my 700th find Sad

I'm pretty sure I've checked everywhere but will be keeping this one on a watchlist to see how the next visitors get on.

Huge thanks to SaaX for doing some needed cache maintenance for me today replacing the logbook and removing some contents that had gone manky. Saves me a trip this Summer Cool

Not hard to see how this one got its name with the amount of shells all along the path.

The walk took longer than expected but was very pleasant in sunshine on the first day of Spring Cool

Cache was easily located but needed the clue as I wouldn't have checked there as I would have thought the sea would have risen that far in high tides.

CITO'd the plastic bags. They were making the cache more wet and totally unnecessary with the good quality container.

Nice simple straightforward cache and definitely whets the appetite for the next one Cool

Very pleasant walk through the woods. Despite the showers on the way over I managed to stay dry at the cache site and get the best of the views over the bay to Knocknarea. Steep enough scramble to the cache site and can imagine it could be a lot more interesting come the Summer judging by all the dormant brambles Surprised

This must have been a thriving spot in times gone by if the many ruins and walls are any indication.

I was intrigued by the high fencing. Looks like its for deer but couldn't work out if it was to keep them in or out and no sign of any deer on either side.

Loved the clue Big Grin

A great cache made all the more interesting with the colourful company. Thanks to the usual suspects for guiding me along this one and especially to Spark_ie for making the most effort to get here, despite the fact that he kept wanting to hold my hand Surprised

If anyone is doing this cache and has transport then there's a fantastic Italian restaurant in Castleknock that we went to afterwards Big Grin

On my way back up the road and I decided to take a short detour to pick up this cache. I'm no expert in parachuting but to me it was the perfect day for a jump, bright, clear and hardly any wind.

I think the cache has been moved since it was originally placed but it's a good spot now and well camo'd as it took me a few minutes to spot it.

A few weeks ago LettyN contacted me via the Geocaching Ireland forum and asked for help in logging this cache.

The coords are for the town of Bundoran in Co. Donegal, Ireland. The town is a renowned haven for surfers and in years past it was a very popular tourist destination for Irish people holidaying within the country. It's still popular enough with quite a few hotels and lots of guest houses. However, the town itself has become quite run down in areas and it's past it's best.

I decided to take some photos of the nicer side of Bundoran at the beach. I've been trying to get these done for ages but it's always been dark when I've been passing through. Yesterday I was on the road a little later and managed to get there not long after dawn. The attached pictures show the scene better than I can describe.

Thanks to LettyN for giving me a new perspective on this town and allowing me to log one final LC before the deadline runs out. Thanks to Crusso for this cache idea.

Followed this cache on from lindsychris on March 6th '05 with the location of THREE RIVERS.

Location 1 is the confluence of 3 RIVERS. The R.Finn and R.Mourne meet to form the R.Foyle which then flows out to sea. The photograph was taken from a bridge looking back towards the 3 rivers.

Location 2 is the FOYLE bridge in Derry. The scaffolding you can see is part of the strengthening works currently in progress. Unfortunately a lorry driver fell to his death in a storm here last winter, very close to where the coords were recorded.

Location 3 is the BRIDGE in Castlefinn my hometown. Its a typical Irish stone bridge and I spent many days near here playing and fishing.

This is find #10 for me!

"The Fulton Stone House is an original building brought to the Park from the township of Donegal Springs in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and was the home of Samuel Fulton who emigrated from Co. Donegal in Ireland in the early 18th century. At that time the township of Donegal Springs was a remote frontier outpost inhabited mainly by Scotch-Irish settlers from West Ulster."

This house is part if The Ulster American Folk Park outside Omagh, Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland. This museum is an excellent place to visit and you could easily spend the full day there. I'm very pleased to be able to use it for this pretty original cache.
