Owner may want to check on the cache as I got information that some muggles had found a cache near the bridge.

I have checked where this cache is hidden & it appears to be missing. 

A relatively quick find on a cool, wet evening.

Going by the recommendations in the previous logs I took along my flashlight that is designed for long distance but I didn't even use it as the my bike light was more than adequate. I had not even left the path & I had already spotted the first two reflectors.

All in all it took about 4 min to get to GZ.

Well worth the ride over.

A quick find once at QZ.

I must be getting "cache sense" as I was walking up to GZ and saw an object that I thought would be a good place for a cache, and it was.

Looks like this one has been muggled. 

Found after a second visit when there were fewer muggles about.

I will admit that I initially did not realize the pink sequin mini notebook was the log & thought that it had been removed.

I must say that this one is elegant in it's simplicity, I literally walked past it several times without noticing it, as I was trying to pin down GZ.

This one took a while to do as I had trouble with the cryptography, but once decoded it was a quick find.

This one was quickly found after Peats Pride, it was almost a walk by cache.

Good hiding spot though.

Finally able to get to this one.

I decided to ride along the river front from the city bridge & found the river had over flowed it's banks & was lapping at the bridge supports.

After going past the cache a fair bit before realizing, I retraced my steps & found the correct area.

I don't know if it was the recent precipitation or the sea air but I found it difficult to access the cache. But after giving it a couple of tries I was able to gain access.

This was the last of 5 caches I did this trip, FTF on 4 of them.

Must have traveled around 30km in total by bike.

I think that is enough caches found for this leap year, I am exhausted

The coordinates were ~5m out when I visited the cache.

Unfortunately I only had my phone or I would have been able to supply better coordinates.

Decided to do this one after finding another cache (The Wanganui – East - Connection).

Forgot how far it is to the airport when you are riding a bike.

I had always wanted to visit this park but as with a lot of things never got around to it.

Saw this one pop up on the weekly GC.com email.

While I will not be visiting this cache anytime soon I decided to have a crack equations.

Solved them without a calculator and I have a headache. Also apparently some of the mathematics they were (badly) trying to teach back when I was in school sunk in.

Now off to take a panadol or two. 

The bag for the log book needs replacement.

Lower half of the log book was damp & there was a bit of water in the container possibly from condensation. 

Lid has been missing for approx 1 year (according to the logs) and the cache is very wet.

Log was so saturated that it would have torn apart if it was opened & was in the early stages of going moldy. 

A quick & easy find as it was sitting out in the open.

Located the cache but was unable to sign the log as it is completely soaked & would have shredded if I had tried.

Took a picture as proof. 

A quick find as I was passing through with the Wanganui summer program walk. 

Took a bit of time to find as my GPSr was sending me in the opposite direction.

With a bit of help from google satellite maps I was able to match up the landscape.

Then only to find after I had the cache in hand that I had left my pen at home.

So I will be making another visit to sign the log tomorrow. 

My previous log went missing so I am logging it again. 

As I live nearby & was bored I decided to drop in on this cache.

The cache is still there, though rather exposed but that could have been because of the strong winds we have been having re hid it a bit better after checking that the contents were there.

Track is still closed off but is mostly clear of branches, limbs etc with some serious damage to the walkway in several sections from the clean up efforts.

Went all the way from the Halswell St entrance to the Smart Tce end.

They have made a path around the big tree stump at the Smart Tce end and there is a lot of glass on the walk way at the Halswell St end.

Also at the Halswell St end is a tree that someone decided to set on fire & is now just a husk (Why would anyone do that?) 

Once at GZ it was easily found.

Had heard about this reserve but until now have not been able visit.

You may want to mark the Travel bug Zero to NZ as missing as I am guessing it was taken when the cache was vandalized the first time.

The disclaimer is soaked through & thanks to the bag the log is only damp.

Dried them out as best I could.

This one got the better of me.

Looked both on & under the bridge. I even went through a pile of rubbish left by the under pass but no dice.

Must not be thinking like a geocacher.

Visited this one on saturday night but left after noticing that a window had been broken.

Dropped by again today & found the cache after a short hunt.

Found this one after I had left "All in View" and then realized that the answers for the questions was back where I had been.

After a quick trip there & back, I quickly found the cache. Then had a bit of trouble with some muggles and the Wanganui Community Patrol before I was able to return the cache & leave. 

Visited this cache several times but had to bypass due to high muggle activity.

Dropped by this evening & was able to easily grab the cache.

Found this one after work today.

Looks like they have brought some heavy machinery in to do a bit of work on the track as it is all messed up, with cut branches all over the place.

I did not see a downed tree but that could be because I came in from the other side. 

Was nice to be able to meet a few fellow cachers & may well see you out & about.

I ended up going home after finding two caches as my knee was starting to hurt & I also wanted to save a few for when I am on holiday in a couple of weeks. 

Found this one on my way home from doing "Zig Zag"

Rolled my bike up to the area & found it within 10 sec of arriving.
